Here's what'll probably be my first and only Animal Crossing machinima, but I had a lot of fun making this and I'm very proud of how it came out!

This took an unexpectedly long time to do, especially since I had to upgrade my aging hardware to complete this vid, and I even had to avoid updating my game at one point because the devs patched out the camera glitch, which I learned from a video by Evil Imp. Thankfully I managed to get some important scenes that required multiplayer done before the patch hit, otherwise it would have been very hard to see the rest of the video through. I'm glad it wasn't hurt too much.
All that said, unless there's more people making their own, I now realize this might be the last AC video done with the camera glitch to ever grace the internet until Nintendo decides to add it back or something, which I really hope they do.

Music Used at the end is the ending theme to Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, though technically, it's an arrangement of "Theme of Puyo Puyo" because the game is a reskin of Puyo Puyo. I just like that particular arrangement.

So the camera glitch that was used to make 99.8% of this video has finally returned as an actual feature in the latest patch, so I'm really pleased that those who reached out with #saveACFilm and the like had their efforts bear fruit!
Though, at the same time, I guess I picked the weirdest time to try and see the video through, because while I did do some workarounds for some shots and they still turned out fine, the only one that I'd say that got screwed over was the bit at 1:16 with the decals of various things. Oh well, it's not too big of a deal considering the rest of the video and how well this vid's doing.
That said, this vid's got 5K views at the time of this comment, wow. This is definitely my most successful non-GMod video to date! Thank for all the support, guys!

I think I had the idea all the way back in April, I finally started working on this in June after gathering all the props and designs I needed.

The Demoman drinking from the water cooler is probably my favorite part of this. It's an oddly cute way of subbing in something for the Demo to drink in place of his scrumpy.

I actually made a little area dedicated to the legacy of Rick May in my town as a tribute, just a small grave with a bunch of items around it giving nods to his character roles and performances, that way, no matter how old I get, I can always go back to my town and remember the impact he had on my childhood when I was playing tf2 or Starfox 64.
I even decided to have music that plays near the tribute and I thought the most fitting song to pick wasn't K.K. Waltz since there was more to his legacy than being Solider (though I do have the cover art of the song next to the grave), but Farewell since to me... that tribute was my way of saying farewell to such a talented man I wish I could say to him if I was able to know he was going to die...
Plus, villagers will always sing to whatever's playing on the radio even if it's nowhere nearby so as a result, whenever a villager sings it will always be Farewell, as if even my villagers are saying goodbye to Rick as well even know they're just a bunch of 3d polygonal AIs but still, it's nice to imagine.
Farewell Rick May... Farewell indeed.

This is actally the best recration I've seen. Most people forget the background gags, while you didn't. You did a good job playing to the strengths of both Animal Crossing, and the original. Excellent work.

Most of these shots were in Harv's studio, and you can put in other villagers and player villagers.

Nope. If you make another user and register them as a resident in ACNH, they can be summoned into Harv's studio just like villagers. That's how I did all of them.

recent update. you can get a wetsuit from the shop and jump in the oceans around the island. Can dive for more species and new DIY recepies.
If you go to a mountain next to the ocean you can dive into it or go to a seaside rock that you can stand on, or go the deck in your island and jump from there

To answer the actual question: you have to sprint towards an edge (cliff, pier, etc.) Before you press A to front flip dive.
Doesn't work from beaches, as far as I know.
