I fucking totally agree. Those and the youme batteries are my favorite. I spent $260 on two power hobby 8000 mA hundred C batteries and those motherfuckers were done within a month and a half and I take good care of my shit I’ve had mine hoovos and youme Batteries since I started the Hobby a year and a half ago and they or just the same as the day I got them. Awesome video brother
I actually removed my 18 tooth after running it for a day as I simply got scared with the way the buggy handled at speed with the stock tires. My GPS said 69.3 miles an hour on it. It also "ripped" the internal foam inside if one of the tires. surprisingly it did not tear up the outer tire like yours did. The other issue I had with the 18 tooth gear was the tremendous amount of heat that the motor was generating. it was around 225 degrees Fahrenheit by the time the batteries were dead. At least the motor is fine but I prefer not to do that again. I may not be so lucky and destroy a 200 dollar motor.
@@giuseppepezzullo7430 No I haven't put fans on the motor.. I may try a fan or two someday. However since I have been running the stock pinion gear I haven't had any motor temp issues.. On the other hand if I am doing a lot of hard fairly quick stop and go driving like in a small areas the ESC does go into a soft thermal reduction in power after a while.
@@heavymetalrc7520 I have the pro-line mx 43's on mine and to keep them from ballooning, I got some braided 120lb test fishing line and wrapped around the center of the tire and put a drop of ca glue on each contact point on the tire. Don't over tighten but very snug.
Seed run hehe
Have had amazing luck with zeee batteries. Had em for years and I don't take care of them like I should.
Well you called it!
Yeah I did.
🤘😆.... hahahha that blow out sounds like my ex... splat flappy flappy flap
😆🤣
I’ve had good luck with the hoovo 3s hard cases. I have 8 and they are the shit even after 2 years of hell!!
Hell yeah. That's what I like to hear.
You are absolutely right about overpriced batteries sucking. I have had good luck with my ‘cheap’ hoovlo lipos
Hell yeah, screw those stupid expensive batteries.

Yes! Thank you. Thought I would some negative comments about that. Glad I'm not the only one.
I got custom racing tires from Bishop Racing. Kinda pricey though.
Do they work good on the dbxl-e?
@@heavymetalrc7520 I specifically bought it for the DBXLE. I can send you pics if you like.

Yeah, this thing is too big to go that fast. Lol it literally is dangerous. Probably be putting stock pinion back on.
Did you mounted funs on motor ?

@@Adamhc75 I made a plate with 3 funs hight rpm and i haven't problem temp issuess really cool. I run with 18 teeth
I use the proline badlands made for the exmax...
You just have to drill them a little
It’s loud cause it’s using straight ⚙️, at least that’s what’s I heard
Great video, try a 15t or 16t pinion gear
It's been my experience when the gears sound like that, they are too tight. I use a piece of paper folded and it seems to be the right spacing.
Put some belted on it
Oh yeah, that's what it needs.

Will the OutKast 8s tires fit?
They will but they rub because of the back spacing.
Hey what spur gear are you running? How'd you end up mounting the max5? I put duratrax 6 packs on mine but I reglued them right out of the package.
Stock spur gear. I mounted using 1 screw on the bottom, double sided tape, and zip ties.
Does any of those clean freak Jackassess ever tell you to clean your trucks?
Powerhobby batteries are no good too expensive
I agree 100%
