Hello Guys. I want to point out a mistake I’ve made at 0:24. Gustaffson was not using bolo punches at that time but rather long uppercuts.

Filipinos will probably disagree, if not hate, with this but Mayweather's style has some elements of Panuntukan, especially the way he used his head controlling techniques and elbows.

Well to be fair there's more than a few similarities between panantukan and the jail house rock techniques that black boxers use in America. Also the knocking and kicking and Calenda utilized by slaves and the FMAs.

@@kaliduncanel3356 facts and black/African culture is all over the African diaspora when it comes to martial arts and the Jailhouse Rock goes back to slavery in the United States and Jailhouse Rock was taught to Mel Gibson in the first Lethal Weapon movie he was trained by Dennis Newsome a well-known Jailhouse Rock teacher back in the day.✊🏿❤🖤💚

Filipino martial arts is almost in persona in all art, its element is present in all art, if we notice, filipino martal arts compliment and even corporate with any art, if a FMA practitioner enter a boxing training, it has a boxing already, in karate, it has also and even in wingchun, it was present also. FMA is so flexible like Filipinos themselves, it can adapt or blend in any art seems like it was belong and part of them.

Filipino martial arts is one of the reason why Filipinos become so excellent when they enter the world of boxing. And because of Filipino martial art's flexibility, filipinos become excellent boxers.

I never really thought of Onassis as a hung gar kug fu since his fighting style is far from what hung gar is supposed to be. His fighting resembles more like arnis and judo than kung fu, and way more practical too.
Its still debated whether Ceferino Garcia was a panantukan fighter or not, since he fought way before panantukan was unified and became a thing. Nonetheless, Ceferino Garcia did fought as a street fighter, and panantukan was born from tribal fighting and streetfighting with filipino brawlers, hence the term Suntukang Kalye which means streetfighting.

if it does not draw crowds, spectators, money or ppv's it will not become world famous, that is the truth of unarmed martial arts. boxing and mma become famous because it draw spectators.
