Always enjoy seeing a son hang out with pops. That windless is a game changer. I appreciate how much you have done since you got the boat and am glad you share them.
Enjoyed your channel! Just Subscribed.I’m trying to convince my wife that a circumnavigation is a great retirement project and went so far as to even start a little channel (@NavalGazingatCampDavid) to sell her on the life style….desperate times and all that. Lol. Thanks again for the great content. I have a whoooole new appreciation for the time and care it takes to create these episodes!
Right on. Thanks for the sub. Ya it’s not as easy as everyone thinks to make a good video. Especially week after week. It’s tough but a labor of love. Good luck and hope to see you out on the water some time. Cheers!
The fluke on my Mantus anchor is so long that it leaves no room in front of the anchor locker for the windlass. I thought about offsetting it to one side but that may render the capstan side useless. The way the chain drops behind the windlass makes it a difficult choice to install it behind my anchor locker (out of the way of the fluke). So I’m fabricating a wood base and a stainless ramp that will allow the chain to fall a certain way. So as you can tell I’m still figuring out the best way to do it. I don’t want to drill holes in the boat until I know it’s going to work. So it’s a slow process but I’m working on it. Pretty sure Orion and one of his buddies will be joining me for Keeldraggerpalooza 🤙🏼
@@sailingsole bummer on the windless install, but I’m sure you will figure it out. I have the legendary J Diddy joining as crew for Keeldraggerpalooza and the admiral is going too.

Hope to see Orion on some of your upcoming adventures. When is windless install?

You should get some netting for your tools and your 🐶 😎
I would if my dogs were onboard more often but nets get in the way of lines and winches sometimes plus I just don’t really need it. Cheers! 🤙🏼
Is your plan too live on the boat or just day sail
I plan to have fun on my boat. 😂 I won’t be living on it any time soon but I do have plans for some longer passages in the near future. Cheers!
