Great Video! And you were right we chose the wrong pond that morning! That Alewife lure from NorthEast Troller is the bomb. Found out last year that pattern matches the size of alewife’s in lake in late August
I use nothing but kokanee rods so they don't tear up the fishes mouth, I change all my lures to single hooks but use circle hooks they catch jawbone every time, if a fish grabs the lure by the head the circle hook will hook them on the outside going into the jaw. Change a couple of lures over and let me know what you think.
Great video. I wouldn't stress too much about the size of the hooks on that sliding rig, looked just about right to me. I've landed quite a few nice browns with really small, stealthy sliding rigs.
How are those tracks holding up? Are the mounting brackets holding, rock solid or you have to tighten them occasionally ? Ay flex in the gunwale or track ? Keep up the good work. Cheers
Rock solid tracks! Only think I have to tighten occasionally is the rod holders them self. Vibration from trailering can loosen them a bit, but otherwise I love them
Chris, nice fish! Great video. Glad to see your tackle in some shops! Picked up a few lures while in Greenville recently. What is the make of that reel you use with the down rigger?
nice video, question for you trolling with live bait... doesn't it die out faster by trolling it? I use Chad for cats, but don't use them trolling. as a matter of fact, I haven't done any trolling fishing..

I have that SST rod except in spinning. It’s not bad for jigging but too weak for DR. I use a Kokanee black and it has more backbone for DR

Reminds me of fishing for Brookies and Salmon at Bryant Pond in the 1970’s with my Dad. Great video.
Thank you
another kick-ass video! love the shirt as well-- it would be cool to see you collaborate with those dudes
I’d do it
great pond gets tough once the algae bloom happens, weve got browns there up to 8lbs.
I don’t think that the decal delivers the message with a whisper, more like a shout.
Beautiful fish!!!
Great videos in general your install on the Terrova help me a lot. What speed do you pulls the Northeast Troller Spoons at?
1.8-2.5

Good haul!! You weren’t joking about the phone!!
I’ve spent so many hours out there this season, it’s hard to pay attention the entire time lol

The good one is an Amundson. Very expensive. Don’t recommend buying it if you want to save money. I bought it for myself when I turned 30
Thanks for the reply. Looks fancy. I fish similar tackle as you, but that one through me. Had to ask. Enjoy summer season.
Sweet!!!
Have you got any of your lures in any shops around auburn or embden?
Not yet
@@mainetroutwhisperer I recommend going to check out Dags Bait & Tackle.

I honestly haven’t used live bait too much but didn’t seem to matter much
