    I want you to know that you are such an inspiration to me. I have been very very sick this year and discovering your channel was one of the best things that happened to me because it gave me inspiration and strength to start reading, writing and looking for antique things that I would like to have. I have also studied always science, and to get into the world of books and literature is something new, wonderful and refreshing to me. Thank you for your videos!! Good luck with your health, as someone who just had a really bad illness, I really mean it. Take care :)

    For me, its definitely doing a deep clean of my room (nothing better than fresh and airy room clear of the chaos of a stressful time, its like pressing reset button), baking and cooking (i dont do it often enough so to be intentional and craft something is really nice as you dont have that luxury often during assessment periods), mindlessly scrolling on the internet and social media without the looming threat of an examination that could make or break you just feels too good though it wears you down and gets dull very quickly if there's no adrenaline from procrastination to keep you going haha. Going to the public library, thrift stores etc, browsing the shelves, seeing whats new and what to add to my list is another thing I do after a stressful period. In the future, i would love to pick up more active hobbies though e.g. sports, gym, crafting, DIY etc.

    I was very much waiting for your new video!
    Thank you for such a wonderful and positive atmosphere that you create and share!
    I really liked the bookstore that you showed. This is what I miss here in Ukraine. We also have bookstores, but they are very small and do not have as large a selection as yours.
    Also, thank you for the love with which you talk about the things of past years, how you appreciate and help us appreciate their beauty and elegance.
    And thanks for the nice soundtrack to this video.

    Luise love your method of rewarding yourself. It is great to dress in cool clothes from earlier periods. Oh something I thought about regarding German books. I lived in Denmark and often they have lots of German books - sometimes rarer ones in the Dutch auctions. They also have lots of wonderful thrift shops. It is also really good to step out of your literary square regarding genres. I did a publishing course at UEA and while there had to write blurb for books that I would never ever read. Perhaps that would be good exercise. Keep up the vlogs they are hygge and informative - a good combo.

    Oh, I love thrifting, the treasures one can find. We have a thrift store for fabrics and crafting materials here, it's pretty awesome. Also typewriters are so cool. I found mine in it's slightly broken, original box underneath an overthrown stack of very dusty books in the darkest corner of a very messy antiquarian book shop. It's from the 1940ies a model from the Swiss military. I would love to know the stories of your typewriters. I hope you get well soon!

    sorry you're sick and missed the wedding. I'm surprised at how hot it gets in Vienna in the summer. I saw one day where it was 36. It's very hot in the US, having a heat wave. I read that the actor Tom Hanks likes and collects typewriters. Enjoying your channel, thanks.

    I m so much into historical clothing you know once i wanted to buy that victorian era men's outfit but it was way to expensive :( . I even dream about building a gothic structure, dressing like a 17 century researcher and studying under the candle light.

    • @luise_marianne
      @luise_marianne  6 місяців тому

      @@whitebritishboy7 It‘s always worth taking a walk through the first district and the ring road which leads around. „Wollzeile“ is a nice street close to the cathedral (some of my favourite places there are „Der Schweizer“ for incredible cheese and wine or „Paremi“ for french patisserie)
      For traditional Viennese cafés check out „Café Landtmann“ (one of my faves) or „Café Prückel“ (Café Central is also beautiful but unfortunately overcrowded with tourists all year round) For more french patisserie: „Café Creme de la Creme“ or „Tart‘a Tata“ :D
      Restaurants for Austrian food: „Rebhuhn“ or „Glacis Beisl“
      Something a bit different would be „Zentralfriedhof“ it‘s a cemetery with an art deco church, some graves from famous people like Falko but my personal favourite part is the old jewish cemetery, it is a very special place.
      „Naschmarkt“ is a lovely market with international food (I like the restaurant „Neni“ for example) and there is always a big flea market on Saturdays.
      When it comes to museums I always enjoy „Leopold Museum“ if you are into art around 1900 (like Klimt, Schiele). I also love the „State Hall“ in the National Library! Or if you like castles check out „Schönbrunn“ always a fantastic classic 😊
      That was a lot but I hope it helps if you should visit 🥰 xx
