- This video tutorial reviews the step-by-step method to do WiFi SetUp of HP Deskjet 2700 all-in-one printer with Windows 10 computer. How in the world was I on a chat with HP Support for nearly an hour with no help what so ever???! Finally they tell me to call an 800 number that was closed due to the holidays!? And with this less than 3 min video I was able to complete the setup. 🤦♀️ Thank you so much for making this video!!!! 😃 you saved my day!
I had a similar experience. I spent over two hours browsing through HP's worthless support applications for no use and this video ended up solving my problem.
Seriously???? I have been on HP site for about a week, the virtual agent does not really help at all, and I go round and round in circles. I finally got through to a chat (with a real person) and they advised that they only help USA and Canada!!! fabulous!!! I am in the UK. I did manage to send a message through messenger in FB, but i think he got exasperated and said, unplug the printer overnight and he would help me the next day - then he never responded when i tried to contact him - and at the end of the day, I got a message saying "you have contacted our service - out of hours, try back tomorrow"!!! I had contacted them hours before and was ignored !! SO I am worried about calling them - in case i am on the phone FOREVER!!!

This was so helpful! I had it set up but then moved and got a new wifi router and had to connect it again and had thrown away the instructions that came with it. I googled setup instructions on the HP site and they were so confusing! This was so helpful. Who knew all I needed to do was hold down 2 buttons 🤣

For anyone having issues connecting WiFi to their PC. After an hour or two of frustration; I have your solution!
Connect via USB so your PC can establish a connection to the printer. THEN, you will be able to successfully install via WiFI.
Hope this helps at least one person!!!

We eventually got this set up and it worked fine. We switched it off for the night and the next morning, it would not work. Both lights were on , but on the laptop it showed as 'off line' . We fiddled for an hour with it, can't remember quite what, but it worked again. Switched off again and next day, same thing, 'off line' ! This time though I went into settings-Printer- troubleshooting. As soon as I went into this, without doing anything, it printed the item in the queue! I have read that these should be switched off, not so much for the power consumption, but to prevent the cartridges from drying out?

How do I use wireless printing from my laptop it keep saying off line like I legit have to plug the corn in just to print
Thank you for doing this video, I set up my printer, no problem at all, then when the colour ink cartridge ran out, i replaced it and the printer refused to work, So i got some more colour cartridges from HP, and it still won't work. That is 4 I have tried. Do you know if the ink cartridge that came with the printer is a 'starter cartridge'?? I had to start it all up again and remove the printer - then add the printer again, and I suspect the printer is looking for the 'start up' cartridge. I am having a great deal of issues trying to contact HP in the UK, so that is not helping.
If ptinter had colour ink setup cartridge in and run out later then its not a start up ink issue. Try to see if print head is clean. Remove ink cartriges and then unplug printer wires for 15 minutes and then start it again and install ink cartridges and see if it works.
Good instructions and I set it up but the next time I turned the computer on it was off-line again. It shows my Printer but it says printer is off-line. Has anyone experienced this and how do you connect it back? Do I have to add the printer all over again?
I have an HP DeskJet 2600 series. HP Smart finds the printer but says it's offline and tells me to select a different printer. My printer is turned on and the power light is steady but I can't select it. Help
What do you do when it stops on the 3rd step during the setup???

my printer keeps losing connection. it does not proceed ahead to the "join the network" step. the wifi sign on the little screen on my printer shows an exclamation mark and hp smart app starts finding the printer again, for which i have to again put it in the set up mode. so stuck!! if you can help please

help ! I have tried everything.
You have take ink cartridges out and then unplug all wires and plug in after 15 minutes and install the ink. Now do wifi setup using a phone if possible or laptop or pc . Keep printer near the witeless router so that it can get full signal. Use HP Smart app in any phone to setup. Then add on your PC. Hope it will sort out the problem.

I got offline printer
Me too!!! I cannot get it fixed and it is only a few months old, as soon as the first ink cartridge ran out - it refused to accept a replacement and then refused to work again. I cannot get it back online.
