These two RPGs were like a counter against Square from 1996-2000. FF6, FF7, Xenogears, FF8, and Dragon Quest 7 was filled out the ass with dark depressing journeys and barely anything to lift people's spirits up.

I think it's for the best to stop hoping for a Lunar 3. I mean, even if it did happen, it'd likely be through Kickstarter, and... well... You know how those often turn out.
Beautiful. Simply beautiful. The song really brings tears to my eyes. The one singing has a voice with such a hypnotic effect. Love the song, love the game even more.
I will always love these games. I love them enough that if I could trade in everything I have right now, save for my PSone, I would just for the first and second one.
I played Lunar 1 Lunar 2 Lunar legends. omg, those are my favorites, those are the best rpg ever. I miss my psx, I still have the games. The songs and the story is so cool.
Lunar 2 is a great storyed RPG one of the best the music in that game is only matched by some of those from the final fantasy seriouse to bad their not makeing anymore other than the handheld one their done
*sigh* I miss Lunar , I even bought Lunar Dragon Song because it was the only Lunar game that was being made after Lunar SSSC and Lunar 2 : Eternal Blue that I already own... I don't regret having Lunar Dragon Song at all, and I wish they'd make another Lunar!
remember getting it for christmas one year and having to wait cuz we had a bad ice storm which knocked out our power, so I had to wait to play, and it was a worthy wait for a game such as this, loved it and the first one
I just finished Lunar 2 for the very first time a few days ago. I bawled as soon as this ending started. I was just so attached to these characters. I couldn't believe it was all over. And then the epilogue ending made it worse. This is my favorite ending though because it shows us the other characters we grew to love. I wish we could have seen what happened next! ;-; I want Lunar 3 to exist so badly...
Well it looks like now we have more of a chance at a Four Heroes Story prequel than ever having Lunar 3 ... At least anything would be great. I bought Lunar Dragon Song when the game came out to support Lunar, but they haven't made anything since!! I'll be buying Silver Star Harmony remake despite already owning Lunar Silver Star Story Complete on Playstation 1, but why oh why has it taken this long for us to get another Lunar game?
I prefer the Sega CD version over the Playstation version when it comes to the gameplay, but the graphics and movies on the Playstation were so much better.
i don't know what happened but anime styled things stopped being awesome like this.. nowadays you're lucky if you can see a tiny sliver of white in anyone's eyes, or any kind of expression crossing their faces..
I concur Its a shame the company stopped making more games from this lore. Would probably have been more popular than Final Fantasy (Well to me anyways if it continued)
@sweetdwhite I would love to see a sequel too, but let's be honest...what would the point be? They made Silver Star Story with a sequel in mind, they made this game to be the LAST game. In the end of the first game they left things a little open-ended...you can just kinda assume that after this game, Lucia and Hiro just *ahem* repopulated the Blue Star or migrated people to it or something. Any game they would create revolving around this or life on the blue star would just be cliche really.
It's a shame that the ending chooses not to show the masked warrior of justice, Mystere. I wonder where did he go after helping Hiro and his friends to escape?

Yes. Yes it does. I'd love if Game Arts did a Lunar 3 for PS3. Sadly I don't think I'd want another translation team other than WD and well, they're gone and unless Vic does something with that new Gaijinwerks or whatever it is, I don't see it happening. I really hated UBI Soft's translation of Lunar Legends. I guess Atlus could do it justice. *shrug*
The school series was just a lunar spin off it made some connections with the plot but not enough to be included with the other two beyond epic lunar games

Make's you wonder why Working Designs did, I remember seeing this game or the other was for like $60 6 years ago now that was a lot of money for a game. Tho you get a lot more for the money too, now all you get it the game for $60 and have to pay like $150 for anything extra.
there was Magic School Lunar/ Lunar Walking school. I forger for which system though. It looked good, but Lunar DS sucked nuts... ruined my 16th birthday...

There was a sequel for the DS, Lunar Dragon Song. But I heard it wasn't very good.
