Yeah I love Craven but that's probably his biggest drawback in not providing better switch ups for his sample loops. His actual crate digging skills are insane tho. It's like he got a time machine. 😆

Convinced this album is a classic. Boldy got some very sobering and specific lyrics/Craven production gives a sense of haunt and paranoia throughout. Very very concise album. 9.8/10 for me. Designer Drugs instrumental makes my soul move
Really enjoyed this album but I think it’s a good ways off from classic territory. Respect the take but for me this is much closer to a 7.75/10 or 8/10. Boldy is a good rapper and I really like how vivid he gets with his drug tales but the rapping wasn’t really crazy here - esp not from start to finish. The rapping on killing nothing was marginally better and honestly most of his projects since TPOTIC had better rapping. Then I absolutely loved the production here but craven is essentially just taking a sample and looping it with little to no modifications. And while the result is amazing - it’s hard for that to bump the whole album up to a near 10/10 when the rapping wasn’t at a near 10/10. But that’s just my opinion brodie I respect your take on it Fasho! 💪🏾

These double back bars he’s morphed into is crazy. “Chain smoking, back to back blunts got me a nervous wreck, strung out on the lean got me addicted to the Percocet.” Phewwwwee great review tho bro.

Wouldn’t surprise me if we maybe saw another Real Bad Man collab before the year is over, too. I love the simple little Sade “the sweetest taboo” line. Also, Bobby Caldwell has competition from that Canadian fella. We’ll see what he won’t do to keep that top spot.
For sure he was flawless! Yeah agreed that Futurewave Boldy collab sounds perfect on paper! I didn’t really rock with the real bad Boldy joint but I loved the killing nothing project. Great project. I really dig Boldy over minimalist production, The Versace Tape for example is a project I often return to. Interested to hear what he has in store with Futurewave though.
I feel like his voice and deliver is perfect for minimalist production, but I honestly think a Boldy delivers better on higher energy beats. I didn’t rock with Versace tape too much outside of a couple songs like nu wave. Manger on McNichols is his best project imo and that project is the polar opposite - the beats are pure maximalism. His projects with Al are pretty minimalistic but they have some higher energy tracks that are also some of my fav like Slow Roll and Double Hockey Sticks.
I primarily just do new projects as they come out but ima check him out and keep him on my radar (is ain’t familiar with fresco). If I love it I might go back and do a review but most likely just keep a eye out for something upcoming
