Great video! I've been using the Aqara G4 for years now, and it has been fantastic with zero issues. The video quality is impressive, and the features are super reliable. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a solid digital video doorbell!

Helpful video. I’ve used Google, Ring, and Aqara. Of everything out there the Eufy you reviewed looks the best and apparently works quite well. I feel like something that matches both from and function is important to place in the front of your house.

nah don't want to hard sell, but briefly what we like about this is its water absorbent like a diatomite mat but it's the soft version and much thinner, sleek and easy to wash

1) do these video doorbells require a lot of internet bandwidth? Is 1gbps sufficient?
2) do these video doorbells integrate well with home assistant? Any interesting automations you have with your video doorbell?

@@ngyinlin1993 good and strong signal is more important than speed. Nah I didn't have any automations for doorbells or security cams
Great Video Comparison! Currently using Ring Doorbell as its able to connect to my samsung hub.
Seems like google nest doorbell is my way to go for now since i have google nest hub at home. Thanks for this video, really helps for my decision making!

Agree with you on getting the same group of brands if they are looking to get a security camera. Been using tapo doorbell and camera. So far so good and their features are user friendly, easy to use and understand. Interested in winning the floor mat 😊

Just a minor heads up, 4:14 has a mislabel on the voice call feature. The header is dual camera.
Also I believe the Tapo does come with a quick call notification too

Hm ur review made me have my eyes on the eufy. Just wondering,
1) Does it have b&w night vision too?
2) Can the automatic lights be manually switched on/off?
The color night vision might cause some disturbances with the said automatic lights
3) How many users can be connected to the doorbell?

1. yup there are infrared lights
2. nah you can't, the app will warn you to switch it off due to power
3. no limit of adding family members to a house, but if you do share device then i think its capped at 5
For 2, I am able to switch off the white LEDs in the Eufy app. So far no issue at night cos the corridor is quite well lit
Eufy features are nice but when it comes to IoT devices, the company's trustworthiness is the single most important factor above all else. Eufy and their deceptive data privacy practices from last year (as well as their multiple denials in PR statements until they got caught red-handed and publicized) automatically rules it out for me 100%, because their senior leadership is untrustworthy and doesn't deserve a place in my home.

Nice video, I have a Logitech CircleView Doorbell, but it constantly overheats in our 40C plus weather with lots of sun here. Going to replace it with a Ubiquiti doorbell since it comes in white and with PoE should be better than transformer powered with overheating.
Hello, may I know where you are located please? Because I don’t think Singapore has ever breached the 40°C mark
u could add in the Eques doorbell, which can integrate nicely with the door's peephole actually.
Peephole doorbell is exactly what i dont recommend 😂

Hi Alex, thanks for another fabulous video! Which would you recommend for an outdoor weather exposed gate video door bell? Any of these door bell is IP65 or 67 rated?

Thank you for doing this video. Really good stuff!! Especially your upfront disclaimer that you paid for all 10 models. Im currently using the eufy s220. But my biggest concern is the time lag it takes for me to be notificated when motion is detected or doorbell rang ~ 5 seconds is too long for my experiences with delivery people or anyone who presses the doorbell. Is there any brand or model which takes near instant or less than 3 secs for ring or notification? Or is the time lag dependant on broadband speed/ bandwidth?

network definitely play a part, but even if I am physically home, I don't think i will be able to respond so quickly, so i guess its fine for the person to go off if they are unable to wait 5-10s

0:24 I'm actually thinking of getting a digital door lock that has video feature as well. If you don't mind, could you explain more on why you think it's not a good idea?
from what i seen so far, they come with no features at all, it's simply just a door viewer embedded onto the door lock to consume battery power
if you have a gate then the view is gonna be blocked anyway

not really, you can only make it a little harder and longer so that it capture and record the person's face
I have the Eufy with Homebase so even if the doorbell is stolen everything is recorded on the Homebase at home so hopefully you know who stole it
Thanks for the vids! Bought the Google Nest battery doorbell, unfortunately they only keep the vids for 3hrs unless paid for subscription :/

Interested in how someone would wire up a doorbell or Poe. Are we allowed to make a hole and put trunking in the public corridor?

Depends on the house. Older HDB flats have the Netlink Trust fibre optic cable with trunking running from the riser outside into the house.
I use the same trunking to run power to my doorbell outside the door.
hello, thanks for the quick summary! can i ask how fast is the response time for the doorbell to detect motion and start the recording? (i.e. will the recoding start only when the person has walked past?)
@@applicator678 all battery powered doorbell will have a few seconds lag, can check out the pre-roll feature on some ring doorbells if thats what you like

Which one is heavy rain-proof?
the highest rating i saw before is IP65, that includes eufy, ezviz, arlo
had a very basic botslab smart doorbell, and it really helped when delivery comes during office hours.. just tap on the mic to tell the delivery person to put the items into the riser :)

Alex what about image quality at night or when theres not enough lighting?
my list includes whether the doorbell has night vision capability, initially i thought that this would be very important but then I realize all apartment housing in singapore have pretty well-lit corridor

Hey Alex, may I know why you excluded the Logitech Circle View Doorbell please? Hoping to get the indoor Circle View cameras for my home and thought having the doorbell too would be a good idea in standardisation. Also, I’m connecting to HomeKit Secure Video
logitech is not a company that is focused on producing home security cameras or active in the smart home field, so I didn't shortlist them in this video
@@AlexTeo thanks for the comment Alex. 2 days ago, I was so close to buying the whole Logitech suite of cameras but the ultra bad reviews put me off. Now I won’t be considering them. Still looking at a very good and reliable camera setup (indoor CCTV and doorbell) that play nice with Apple HomeKit Secure Video. Got any recommendations?

I wanted to but i believe they don't have a battery powered version, only poe which mean most of the household in singapore will have challenge installing it
@@AlexTeo yup no battery wifi one with included power adapter. Have been using over a Yr. Prompt notification n integration in home assistant
@@islubio and you had an easy way to connect to a power adapter?
@@AlexTeo mine is bto so there was pre laid wire already. Else it should not be difficult too, use the existing hole / cable that come with your unit for the switch outside. And give it power at where the planned doorbell inside the house is (normally in the kitchen, just put a plug there). Just need 12v similar to aqara g4, some of my enough put a dc power breaker in the dB box
@@islubio ya these are not easy ways, it's a switch box near the chime spot and exposed cables, for that amount of work I would rather go with poe and also give you excellent connection
I have the aqara m3 hub I am conflicted if I want to buy the Google nest doorbell or just stick with aqara.

if you are running on smart home on apple homekit then get aqara, overall google nest > aqara

I am using the XM one and it is not good, I think XM stuffs are just not very compatible with IOS. Their Robot vacuum is equally bad. 🤦🏻♀
i don't use iphone so can't comment on that, I think xiaomi stuff is still way better than many other low value china oem products

Hi Alex, I'm interested in winning your gift 😊 Great review for all the camera door bell. Great effort from you considering this is not a common shop list for most household despite it's getting affordable. 1) what will happen to all your purchased doorbell after review 😂 2) how secure is the doorbell since I believe its merely adhesive onto the door. I mean a stranger with a mask can simply remove it? Btw my family is using the Tp link Tapo, so far so good and definitely value for money.
If its a small item i usually just keep it for future videos or just give to friends or family. They are usually secured using screws but there is also no anti theft if someone decides to steal doorbells for a living 😂
