sure do wish country was still like this.
Anthony I agree with you 100%, today’s country music isn’t what it used to be like back in fiftys. But then again I’m 74 years young., born in 1946 April 12.
i try to write my songs, like the old days, 50, 60's . thank you for showing. good to see the old days again
I remember when I was little my folks would watch at noon everyday
My favorite singer. RIP Ray
at this point these are Historical Documentation. the Culture, the Clothing, the appearances, the grooming and performance quality. all very different from what we see today 2022. Thanks for this.
old country music is what I live by it mends the heart
Brilliant
absolutely bloody fabulous
love watching Ray Price on here
a part of my childhood. This was so different for us having moved from Toronto Canada...Now my family in Canada are big country music fans.
+elleboucher Toronto, Ontario, Canada, eh.
oot and aboot ;)
That's cool
FOR RAY PRICE, THANK YOU...........
Thanks for the info, didn`t realise they were quite that old.
I have 4 more Vol`s to add as soon as i can.
Linda definitely has a point.... country music is no longer country music... to many non country people have come into the field... a person from New York or Hollywood does not have the character or soul to sing real music. Bless these people.
Thank God for UA-cam!!
thanks for youtube, you can find almost any one you want to hear sing.
This was unusual for the time. A TV show shot in 35mm color before Color TV was ready to go. They used the movie cameras with a control switch as directing TV cameras. Evidently at the time they thought Color TV would be on the scene within in a year. I'm glad they had it in the budget to use expensive color film at the time.
awesome music!people singuing from the heart!the greats!whoever posts these i thank you and my 24 cases of beer and my bottle of rye thanks you!
Thanks for posting these. I grew up with those stars and knew a lot of them. Now to find real country music yo have to go to Canada or Germany. Really brings back memories and I love them.
Ron
this is really great. I listened to all these guys growing up. Saw Ray a few times in San Diego.
Thanks for uploading it.
Awesome show! Thanks for posting these.
Love 💓
This is awesome. thank you.
THIS IS COUNTRY MUSIC NOT WHAT YOU HEAR TODAY
Yeah, it's pretty sad. Fake accents, cowboy hats...and they've never touched cow!
I wish they had better recording equipment back then. I'd like to hear it live quality.
Thanks for posting. A lot of us missed out on this good stuff!
Most of these old shows sound good. This copy is just a bad copy. Check out some others on UA-cam and hear the difference. Most of that old equipment is still the most sought after and most expensive gear you can have to record with even to this day.
I would love to turn the clock back to these simple sweet days, I'd also give a years salary to sit in the audience of the show!
Paul O -Sorry, there was no audience. These were shot in Owen Bradley's Barn in Nashville by Al Gannaway Productions with a 35mm movie camera from 1954 to 1957. They came under many titles but were later sold in sets. My set is "Grand Ole Opry Stars of The '50's".Still available. June Webb was on these shows, if you will go to Google, ask for Al Gannaway and June Webb shows , She tells in detail how these shows were made.
About 25 years ago I watched this program (The Country Show). Every week in 1957 or 58 the show (A Gaylord Entertanment show) was made on color film. About 1985 it was rebroadcast on channel 69 San Diego. Every day at 5:00 am this station broadcast a show. This was made before color TV!!
This would be great if the audio was on both sides... How does that not bother anyone else??
Anyone know where to find the old country music from the 30s and 40s where they rhym like todays rap?

Van Howard
Anyone know who the blonde on Ray Price's left is. She has the red checkered shirt on.
Bob Ford -That is a man, not a girl.
You need your eyes checked hoss!! That's a man.
Carl Smith was June Carters first husband.. was a cruel dude.
