I mean, Crossover by Donny Cates is pretty good. But, in all seriousness, my favorite comic book crossover has to be a tie between JLA/Avengers and The Invincible War.
I want to share this comment from Caravan of Garbage's video about the crossover "Honestly, the Predator seems like he could function perfectly well as an actual staple of Batman's rogue's gallery. There's a pattern to his killings that Batman can follow, a hunter's psychology Batman can analyze, a stealth aspect that mirror's Batman's own, and he's just a cunning and physically formidable foe equipped with his own set of unique weapons and gizmos for Batman to have kickass fights with. If one didn't know better, you could almost believe Predator was deliberately created to be an alien enemy FOR Batman."
Wouldn’t they only be able to one story though? One of them has to die he couldn’t be a reoccurring character unless Batman just wins every single time and spares their life

This is one of the best comic book crossovers. The sequels they came up with were pretty awful though. Especially the second one with the really bad artwork.
The 2nd one had interesting artwork, colourful, contrasting a lot from the 1st. It was OK. I bought the 2nd one before the 1st one. The 3rd one had great artwork but a weak story in my opinion.
@@capitalP98 I had to wait for each volume on the first one so yeah I'm showing my age but I was hooked on the second one for a few reasons. They used the original idea from predator 2 having a Predator coming for revenge and the hitmen as worthy prey was excellent 👌. However the artwork from the first batman vs predator is truly amazing and second to none. Imagine if those artists had drawn and inked the first Aliens vs Predator comic!
@@nicholasbennett7367 yeh actually now you've made me remember all the inbetween action like the hitmen. Number 2 had some great gore and very dynamic action sequences. Number 1 had a lot of mood and atmosphere, very much like a movie experience.

Oh, hell yeah. My dad bought me Batman vs Predator 3: Blood Ties as a kid and I still have it. The first series is coming in the mail soon. This is a great coincidental upload, Matt!
I would love to see Daredevil against the Predator. A predator arrives in Hell’s Kitchen to hunt Bullseye or Elektra, forcing Matt to intervene. However, he struggles to track the Predator, due to plot reasons like it’s too fast and leaps further and higher than he can scale. The Predator tracks Matt, but cannot hunt him because of his blindness, it only hunts him while he’s in his suit, as it thinks it gives him sight or compensates his blindness. Thus, creating a cat-and-mouse game, where Matt has to remain out of the suit, until he can effectively fight the Predator, and the guilt of neglecting his superhero duties to save his own life weighs heavily on him. While the Predator relentlessly stalks him out of costume, giving him extreme paranoia. The story should also showcase the edge they have on one another. Matt can exploit the Predator’s hunting rules, no disabled and unarmed prey, he can smell its alien scent or detect it by the sound of the electrical current in its cloaking tech and his agility and reflexes can defend him from its plasmacaster blasts. While the Predator’s armor, bladed and non projectile weapons, size and strength outpower Matt. This should force Matt to seek help from someone like Bullseye, who can take on the Predator from a distance, but only with Matt’s direction. It would be such a fun idea
It would also be eerie to see the Predator taunt Matt by using its mimicking ability to recite Bible verses, legal phrases, or even confuse him by mimicking sounds from the city and mess up the impression of his surroundings.
For anyone wanting to read this comic, I highly recommend Alien Theory's voice over of the entire story on his channel. He makes great Predator and Alien videos in general and does a lot of summarizations and voice overs of their comics
I feel bad for predator tho lol as he’s dealing with a metahuman…. Lol. Batman isn’t necessarily a normal human he’s far stronger then anything predators fought
Still got my original copies of these from back in the day. Even then I thought this was the perfect crossover and who better to take on the Predator but the Dark Knight himself. Wonderful.

My personal, all time favourite comic book crossover is the original, 1976 Superman vs The Amazing Spider-Man but this, the first and BEST BATMAN VERSUS PREDATOR is a close second! It's a perfect comic in every way - the writing, art and presentation all so beautifully done. On a side note, Mr. Draper, still waiting for your Video on the greatest film of all time - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!!!!!!

I once owned Spawn/Batman and later Batman vs Predator. I lost my Spawn/Batman and have not ever missed it; I know this would not be the same if I lost Batman vs Predator ;p
In the film *"Predator"* take the creature out of the spectrum and you basically have *"Commando 2,"* both of which were produced by supremo Joel Silver, who cornered the action market in the 80s and 90s. I remember these crossovers at the time and man, wished I picked them up now.

I remembered reading part of the series as a kid, and loving it, so I went on a hunt to find these a few years ago. I'm glad I found them before they went out of print.
In fourth grade I got issue 2 of BvP3 from a prize box, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. It was almost more interesting trying to use context clues to figure out what I’d missed in the previous issue, and since all I knew about the Predator was what I’d been able to glean from the VHS cover of my dad’s copy of Predator 2, this comic was kind of my first real introduction to the franchise. I don’t know if I still have it packed away somewhere, and I never read the rest of the series, but this video was a surprisingly nice nostalgia hit. Thanks for making it.
Predator vs street level heroes like Wolverine, Dare Devil or Punisher would be the way to go. Predator vs Superpowered heroes wouldn't even be a fair fight. Marvel heroes fight and defeat aliens way more advanced than the Yautja.
Loved that first Batman vs Predator. It just worked so well together, agree with everything you said. The predator works in Gotham city so well. Batman/aliens not so much. However, I remember the judge dredd/aliens crossover being really good. I’d love to see you cover the history of the dark horse predator comics and the avp comics.
I was born in 1988. I'm from Italy. In 1994, 6 years old, I bought all the 4 chapters of Batman VS Predator 2...through the years gettin' older and always in need of new great horror stories.......I read those 4 comics every year!!!!

Looking back I can’t believe how blessed I was to be able to read all of these at school because of a friend who used to bring in these comics and we would just read them for the cool moments
I remember reading this when I was 8years old, my cousin got the comic book from the high school library, because they were getting rid of comic books for space and no one was into comics at the time, this is on the Navajo reservation back in the 1999. But I loved that comic book so much, once I got order, my own internet, and employment, I finally bought my own comic book issue
The Batman/Spawn book was pretty awesome too….there’s also a cool Elseworld Batman book called “The Blue, the Grey, and the Bat”…it’s Batman in the Wild West with a sick ass horse doing Batman shit…as cool as cool gets
I wish they would make an animated movie of this. Also the sequel bloodmatch was awesome, predator hunting batman, the mafia hunting batman, it was crazy. The 3rd one I wasn't to crazy about

I have no idea why I haven't read this, I like Batman and Predator is the most important film ever for me. The original Predator suit is still the greatest movie monster suit ever, I really hope they used a practical suit in Prey, I really don't want CGI Predators but I'm really excited to watch Prey with Comanche dub and english subtitles, that's such a great idea for the film.
Makes me sad with all the animated DC movies that came out, they never got to adapt the Batman Vs Predator story. Would've given the comic some MUCH needed attention.
I think Wolverine vs. Predator would be awesome. Think about it wouldn't it be cool to read a book from the Predator's point of view. Where none of it's usual weapons and tactics work because Logan's powers are practically made to counteract them.

Spidey vs Predator can’t really work without Kraven somewhere in the mix. A three way war to prove who is truly the deadliest creature in the world, which we kinda just had in the latest Kraven story. Give it a couple more years
The action figures from this are awesome…they were a comic von exclusive from Neca a few yrs ago…they also made the Superman vs Alien set. Highly recommended if you gave the $….I got them when they were new for like $50 per set. Now they’re like $500
The Yautja hunting in Gotham was a Bad Blood. When he used his plasma caster to kill the old boxer, who wasn't a threat to him, and took the man's hands, he crossed the line. That's one reason why he was forced to commit suicide at the end of the 3rd book.
@@thedragonlee76 I love how it starts as you'd expect, with OP Superman trying to protect all life, but by the end, he's fighting for his life, as well as Kara's, even ripping off a xenomorph's tail with his bare hands.
This is one of my dream cross over movies. However it has to be made right. Batman has to win with his brain - not with his gadgets and his brawn. Probably Predator has first to surprisingly encounter him (or Batman by chance is surprising Predator) and after a short fight (in which Batman sees how much disadvantaged he is) - any event is interrupting the fight - and Batman basically fights another day. Then Batman pushes his gadgets - puts everything on what he can find and quickly can mobilize. Finds the Predator again - and this time, he almost looses his life, because the Yauja is still extremely overpowered. So he survives - and then he just uses his “detective mind” - and almost bare bone wins against the Predator. At the end, we would have still another bit of tension, because Batman has to save Gotham City from the Nuclear explosion of the dying Predator... So the story is a redemption of Predator 2 - I love Danny Glover - but they simply didn’t used the “character strength” of Glover in the movie. He played a Arnie or Mel Gibson type... which just wasn’t right. Hence there would be at this point the greatest arch of any opponent of Predator to date. The problem with good and bad (at the same time) of Predator and of this projected Predator vs Batman is, that the hero is definitely the projected winner. Hence you really have to make this hero bleed (which wasn’t enough in the first movie - just my personal opinion...). The challenge is, that despite, that everybody knows, that Batman (or Arnie) wins, to make the situation so hopeless, that the audience believes, that Predator at the end would win. _maybe you could even make a “younglings” Predator party (of 2 or 3) to fight... hence it is something new???
Badass video. Cannot wait to read the comic. Just thinking about how fucking awesome it would be to have a Daredevil vs Predator comic. His heightened sense and echolocation could be a great equalizer against the Predator's invisibility. You could also tell a great story connecting Kingpin to the Predator and maybe even have him try to control it to hunt down Daredevil. You could probably explore a lot of interesting religious symbolism with the Predator embodying a truly demonic force for Matt to fight.
Batman v Predator easily in my top 10 Batman comic book stories of all time... Dave Gibbons, aye, aye, aye. 2000AD the most zarjaz comic ever was where many of the greats cut their teeth. Leading in to Batman/Judge Dredd, Judgement on Gotham. Pretty fantastic, also Simon Bisley, aye, aye, say no more.

Batman versus Predator is an Amazing Crossover. When The Dark Knight of Gotham City face the Greatest Alien Hunter, it's the Clash of the Titans.

It was such a great crossover. It felt believable for something to happen in Gotham.
Makes me sad with all the animated DC movies that came out, they never got to adapt the Batman Vs Predator story. Would've given the comic some MUCH needed attention.

I think Wolverine vs. Predator would be awesome. Think about it wouldn't it be cool to read a book from the Predator's point of view. Where none of it's usual weapons and tactics work because Logan's powers are practically made to counteract them.

Spidey vs Predator can’t really work without Kraven somewhere in the mix. A three way war to prove who is truly the deadliest creature in the world, which we kinda just had in the latest Kraven story. Give it a couple more years

I remember reading this one straight from the comic stands, at the book stores & grocery store as a kid.
The action figures from this are awesome…they were a comic von exclusive from Neca a few yrs ago…they also made the Superman vs Alien set. Highly recommended if you gave the $….I got them when they were new for like $50 per set. Now they’re like $500

The Yautja hunting in Gotham was a Bad Blood. When he used his plasma caster to kill the old boxer, who wasn't a threat to him, and took the man's hands, he crossed the line. That's one reason why he was forced to commit suicide at the end of the 3rd book.
this and Superman vs Aliens are my favorite crossovers.

@@thedragonlee76 I love how it starts as you'd expect, with OP Superman trying to protect all life, but by the end, he's fighting for his life, as well as Kara's, even ripping off a xenomorph's tail with his bare hands.
This is one of my dream cross over movies.
However it has to be made right. Batman has to win with his brain - not with his gadgets and his brawn.
Probably Predator has first to surprisingly encounter him (or Batman by chance is surprising Predator) and after a short fight (in which Batman sees how much disadvantaged he is) - any event is interrupting the fight - and Batman basically fights another day. Then Batman pushes his gadgets - puts everything on what he can find and quickly can mobilize. Finds the Predator again - and this time, he almost looses his life, because the Yauja is still extremely overpowered. So he survives - and then he just uses his “detective mind” - and almost bare bone wins against the Predator. At the end, we would have still another bit of tension, because Batman has to save Gotham City from the Nuclear explosion of the dying Predator...
So the story is a redemption of Predator 2 - I love Danny Glover - but they simply didn’t used the “character strength” of Glover in the movie. He played a Arnie or Mel Gibson type... which just wasn’t right.
Hence there would be at this point the greatest arch of any opponent of Predator to date.
The problem with good and bad (at the same time) of Predator and of this projected Predator vs Batman is, that the hero is definitely the projected winner. Hence you really have to make this hero bleed (which wasn’t enough in the first movie - just my personal opinion...). The challenge is, that despite, that everybody knows, that Batman (or Arnie) wins, to make the situation so hopeless, that the audience believes, that Predator at the end would win.
_maybe you could even make a “younglings” Predator party (of 2 or 3) to fight... hence it is something new???
Badass video. Cannot wait to read the comic. Just thinking about how fucking awesome it would be to have a Daredevil vs Predator comic. His heightened sense and echolocation could be a great equalizer against the Predator's invisibility. You could also tell a great story connecting Kingpin to the Predator and maybe even have him try to control it to hunt down Daredevil. You could probably explore a lot of interesting religious symbolism with the Predator embodying a truly demonic force for Matt to fight.
Batman v Predator easily in my top 10 Batman comic book stories of all time... Dave Gibbons, aye, aye, aye. 2000AD the most zarjaz comic ever was where many of the greats cut their teeth. Leading in to Batman/Judge Dredd, Judgement on Gotham. Pretty fantastic, also Simon Bisley, aye, aye, say no more.
