Wallke e-bikes are seriously underrated❕ Great price, specs, quality, customer Support, and the company is always making improvements. Very happy with my experience
Sidenote, I just realized my bike (H6 MAX) with a fully charged battery on flat road can easily top out at 35mph and going downhill can easily get 40mph with my weight, roughly 250lb I am now curious as to why this bike is slower?
I own a H7 and have no regrets on my purchase. So far, I am a few months in. I love riding this bike and I am 6ft tall and last weigh in was 320 pounds. This bike, in my opinion, is worth it👍
Great review. I have an H6 ST that i luv, but the upgrade to suspension, dual motors better brakes is an improvements that are all welcome. Mag wheels GR8. Range is my main concern. NOT worried about front motor noise now.
Really good review. So many reviews are just about how great the bike is. I guess it gets them a lot of bikes to review. I'll probably buy this bike because the faults aren't, to my mind I can't easily overcome. Thank you.
Thank you. I try to be very transparent and show everything in my reviews. If you do decide to purchase please consider going through my link in the description to help support these reviews.
Yeah, that front motor on a lot of Wallkee bikes has this issue. I can't imagine it being nothing to worry about or normal but hey, what do i know. i would think that there is no reason it shouldn't sound like the rear motor.
That’s a tough one. Probably the H9 because it’s foldable and has the option for a Bigger battery. Performance wise they are about the same but I do Ike the handlebars on the H7.
Nice review on this bike. I have the H6 Max. It is a pretty good bike. I definitely had to change the Freewheel. I had to customize a washer to get it to work right. A couple things I do not like about this brand, I like bar end mirrors, and that is very hard to put on this bike. All because the throttle and horn button configuration is an all one piece tube. So you are stuck with the hand grips as well unless you cut the tube. This is the only type of bike I see this design being used. That was one of the first things I wanted to do was to put on bar end mirrors, and change out the grips. Also on the H6 Max you are limited on the adjustments in the advance settings. I cannot change my pedal assist levels, and the amount of power in each level. Other than that it is a good bike, I like the mag wheels. And I did put street tires on the bike makes it much more quieter.
Thanks for the review on this one, Jeremy! Any other similar competitor to this style you think I should look at too. I would like 20" wheel, good power, actual bike seat that can go up or down like this one, and step thru. maybe little better suspension ......... Also, try to get your hands on one of the "Goat" bikes. (billy goat, power goat, etc)
Thanks for the suggestion. I would love to test out a Goat bike but nothing in the works as of now. Hmm i can’t think of any others that I’ve tested that compare to all the points you’ve listed but I’m supposed to be testing the Anioki dual motor step through in the future so hopefully we can see how it performs. My next favorite step through is the Magicycle ocelot pro for the power and speed but it’s not dual motor or Lectric for its lightweight and portability.
That noise is just the front motor free wheeling when it reaches top acceleration. It is due to the rear motor pushing the front just a little bit. So just the physics of the setup, IMHO not a defect and not something requiring a fix. I have a H9 and thoroughly enjoy it. Just got 3-H7 as I like them that much…. Cheers
Here is what I think: The tire rubber is also flexing a cycle of load/no load, torque/no torque and the rear motor is assisting perhaps, the road initiates a bounce and the cycle takes off. It is an oscillation that is not dampened by tire rubber, instead the rubber enables and sets the speed of the oscillation. Rear tire carries more load and the cycle doesn't have the same freedom to initiate. The power to the front tire is definitely enabling and feeding the oscillation. Lower the air pressure in the front tire and this probably dampens the oscillation because its springiness is lessened compared to its drag.
i dont think its a problem for one you usually look for a comfortable seat that fits you ,and most people charge the battery on the bike and it's a big battery to take out.
The front motor sounds like maybe it's skipping -- try standing up on the pedals, putting more weight on the front wheel when you're going full throttle and see if that helps?
Could be the tire too or how it's fitted on the rim, I've yet to come by a fat tire that's perfectly round, and doesn't have at least a little bit of a wobble.
Between the two H7 AWD and H9. Which one do you like more? I'm 5'7 and I'm afraid H9 is too high for me and H7 is easier because of step through frame. Thanks
Great review. I was considering the H7 or H9 based on your great reviews. But the company doesn't respond to questions (I have tried several times), they claim a UL certified battery, but they cannot produce any proof that it's true and when asked, they ignore the UL question in general. If they have "reached out" to you as you stated then you are ahead of anyone else. As far as I am concerned, this is a suspect company that lists lies on their website.
Hi Justin, Sorry I must missed your message. I have replied this several times with the cover of UL CERTIFICATE when someone asked me about this every time under our posts or in the group.
@@wallkeebike You have a serious breakdown in customer service and maybe the truth. I have sent countless emails (plural with an "s). You do NOT list the official certification on the bikes (as required by law) and you do not respond to questions about your bikes. You also do not respond to the phone. Here are questions sent March 13 : 1) It says it is UL certified. Do you verification of that? Is it stamped and stickered and in the UL database? 2) I am hearing that the motors are either stamped lower than reported or they are lower. The rear motor in one video was listed as 750W not 1000W? 3) Who is the manufacturer of the motor and battery? 4) Will you be getting any more black 60ah in stock? 5) Your additional battery kit is sold out for all models. Do you expect that to be restocked?
@wallkeebike I am still awaiting evidence of your UL listed batteries and responses to my questions. I am sure the rest of the bike world would like to have your clarify.
My guess that the noise has something to do with the motors being out of sync on how much power they are pulling, with the front pulling less power then the rear only when on max settings. Thats why youre not hearing it on any other mode other then max all wheel. The eco mode is probably giving them each the same power (a lower amount at that, not that I think it matters the amount, just that its in/out of sync) instead of the full pull of 18amps up front and 22amps in the back (not in sync). So the rear motor is almost helping push along the front at moments/front is playing catch up. Im no engineer by any means though and just taking a guess based on that being the only time it does it. Honestly not a deal breaker for me, knew about the noise from your H9 video, and other videos/people. As long as its not doing anything negative to the motor (I cant think of how it possibly could be but again Im not an engineer), Im fine with it enough that I just placed an order for the H9 the other day, and thats a lot of money for me. This bike's (and the H9's) combo of performance and range kind of put it in its own unique spot in the 2k and under class of ebikes. Especially the H9. Wired Freedom type accelration on max settings awd (slower top end speed though), basically unmatched hill climbing, while still having a 60ah battery, big stopping power on 203mm x 3mm 4 piston brakes - and it folds. If you keep riding one of them a lot keep us updated on the motors, or if you hear anything more back from them. I did talk to someone online a week ago who had one, had already put 4k+ miles on it, and hasnt run into any issues with the bike - that was the convo that convinced me to just give it a go.
Thanks for the review! nice to see the ebike nice looking H7 - the tires are too small, but would be ok on a clown bike ;) the suspension would be an ez upgrade [had a few motor cycles n shocks are ez to find and exchange] but the tiny tires are another matter. we wont mention the performance or the pedal strikes, having your feet dig into the dirt IF you try to pedal] But I like the of being a fine ebike [just ride straight or use the throttle] Noise? well its AWD & a hub motor, So yeah its expected to make noise. I have a couple rear hub motor ebikes. both are 750 watt - 1 a step over the other a step thru [like the ST best] (my opinion) both are kinda loud [oh well beats a gas motor] I can wait to see what other ebikes offer
17:35 I see other reviewers pronounce it as "D-Y-island" which I agree sounds correct, you're the only one I see pronounce it like Disneyland without the "ney" part. 😆
Looks good, depending on motor quality, could be great. Personal preference would be no chain. Right type of wheels and brakes at least. Personally think seat posts on EVs could be strengthened/different just due to how crap most seat post are now, if you ride thousands of miles, like you could/should on a EV posts will most likely break or crack at some point. Potential winner of bike here, all comes down to motor quality.
I jave the h6S and get the dame noise when using throttle on 5. Maybe its the berrings in the motor but its annoying especially when riding with houses on your sides cause the sound bounses of the buildings. .
I think the motor noise on that model is a much bigger issue than Wallke is admitting to. Either controller programming, hardware, or motor engineering problems. It was too much of a risk for me to take with my hard earned money. I will bet there is a small difference in the internal gearing between the two motors, or a slight difference in tire diameter. Just purchase a Aniioki AQ177 Pro Max instead.
That rat tat tat noise sounds like at high speed, the front tire is slightly bouncing off the ground and makes a noise when it hits the ground again. Try changing the front suspension settings or lock the front for to see.....
You can use a bar and mirror on the left side, but not the right side because the way the throttle is mounted. When I put bar and mirrors on my bikes, I only use one on the left side anyway because I’m always traveling the right side of the road and traffic is coming up on my left. Hope this helps
Thanks. That's weird that Wallkee would do that. All of my bikes I can use those kind of mirrors on both sides just by cutting the rubber off the hole. Deal breaker!!@@JeremiahMcintosh

Can you take them out of awd? To just the rear.?
Front motor sounds like it's going faster than it wants to. I wonder if this wouldn't be an issue with matching motors? Great review!

Pretty sure that noise is happening because it doesn't need to be in AWD on flat smooth ground. It's for off-road and climbing... Yano? Like a truck.
Yup my H9 starts making that same noise at 26mph and stops around 29mph in AWD only
Yep mine too but just the physics of the setup, I don’t think it’s really a problem. Luv my H9…. Cheers
