Rush Hour Trains at: Milton Keynes Central, WCML, 21/06/19

- A very enjoyable rush hour period spent at Milton Keynes Central Train station on the West Coast Mainline where we see countless services from Virgin Trains, London Northwestern Railway, Southern and freight from Freightliner, DB Cargo UK, GBRF and Royal Mail.
The station was built in May 1982 so it really is one of the youngest stations on the West Coast Mainline, the station has seen a couple of redevelopments. Mostly this was throughout 2006 when platform 6 was introduced, this was to allow stopping express trains to use platform 5 in either direction. The other addition was to bring in a new bay platform with platform 2A. This was built for what extension of the Marston Vale Line, but subsequently this never happened and is now used mostly by Southern.
The station hasn't changed all that much since I was last here but hopefully once Great North Western Railway commence opewrations later this year this station will become even more better in terms of the variety of traffic that you're going to be seeing. That's assuming of course that they stick with their plan to use former LNER 225 sets on their Blackpool to London Euston routes.
Like the year previous the station saw an average passenger usage of 6.8 million.

when they first came into service I couldn't stand them because of that noise, now it's just the norm for me haha
Ive visited this station for 3 or 2 times
1st time i gone here i had my grandma going to newtonmore.
2nd i was going to carlisle.

Great video. Normally if you see a ONE container it's from Southampton or gateway and if you see evergreen it's usually from Felixstowe. That's due to different shipping alliances which determines which port they dock at :)

The stations on Marston Vale from Bletchley before Aspley Guise are also in Milton Keynes. Woburn Sands technically isn't but it's in the borough.

Another great video, thank-you sir! Milton Keynes has to be one of the best spots on the WCML for watching all the activity. Leighton Buzzard is more 'intimate' (no ticket barriers either), but not much stops there and the fast platforms are fenced off.
thank you kindly, MK is a brilliant station to come to because it is so open and you get decent views all round, Leighton Buzzard has more of a character to it but you can get to the fast platforms as they have gates that you can manually open
Why would they go on yellow line when virgin train is coming passed like 125 mph.

I don't about anyone else but I think all through stations should have police on the platforms to make sure no idiots don't stay too close to the edge

Wonderful film as always Jarred, what is that structure that spands the station?, i didn't see any stairs so I presume it isn't a footbridge, thumbs up as always, hope your keeping well.
Thanks very much, the structure in question is a footbridge that goes from the upper level where the main station entrance is and goes over the A5 which runs next to the station

If possible for us overseas viewers when goods trains pass could you give us perhaps the nearest city from which they. Example where is Trafford, near Man Utd ground?
I can certainly start doing something to help out identify certain areas of the country, and yes Trafford Park Euro Terminal is a few miles away from the football ground

There was a steam service (sadly with a diesel on the back) heading towards Moor St Sunday morning at about 9-9.15ish

I'm thinking of getting a All Line Rover ticket and its valid for unlimited travel for 7 days with my railcard 16_25 its £347.15 for the week do any of you think it's worth the money even tho I've looked at the journeys I plan to do seperretly and it seems to be worth it let me know guys...

I don't know if I would get there in time to be able to do a rush hour film, it would be amazing to do but I would end up going mad from all of the trains coming and going haha

Class 390s Are Avanti West Coasts Common Train
I'll start by sayin' it's a beaut' of a day for it! God above Virgins covered in blood and 66619 running like the Devil... Whatta' day Bruv, that's how I drive in TSW! 390117 was like an ninja pulling in just beautiful and she gave great camera too. 66589 is Beast and with 390117 pulling off with her was awesome. The Wings of Death might have been a good Sub-title for the Film, just sayin'.. Anyways, great sounds and pure habit all day just crazy, way too much I could say. That woman tho... Thanks Bruva! B.P.
