    Small wheels big heart indeed. Kongratz for overcoming all those challenges. You've inspired me to take my first Audax this December with the TSP gang. Thanks for sharing your tips ♥

    At this point in my life 100km feels like a daily jog but no worries for a first timer you did well

      Sounds like we got a pro here. 😉🎉 I did learn a lot from this. Mostly on how preparations and trainings are just as important as the race. But I’m definitely proud that I managed to finish in time. Stay strong 💪 🦵

    Congrats and all! My only comment is why you're group have to leave you alone riding? They are supposed to support you and the group so you can all have encouragements to this ride. There should be no drop policy even though this is still a timed event. Again, this is not a race but to test your endurance and finishing this altogether makes it more memorable.

      Thanks @Frostbyt181! A lot of us were first timers in the 100k audax here and I think we were excited to see what we’ve got. I also had to slow down a lot when my light malfunctioned. We were briefed properly by the SRs in our group but I just wasn’t as prepared as I should have been for this ride. I couldn’t show in the video because I was already experiencing recurring cramping but I finished this ride with two of my teammates helping and motivating me along the way. This was even when I was almost walking my bike and had to stop a lot. They also helped me recover right after I crossed the finish line and took my bike. They supported me a lot but I just wasn’t able to capture that in the video.

      Hi. I noted that towards the end of the video as part of my learnings. After this ride, I did buy eyeglasses for riding. You can see it in my La Union video :)

      Just go to audax.ph create your profile, choose the ride you want to participate in from the ride calendar, and register. I would recommend to read the guidelines first so that you know what’s allowed and what isn’t during the race.

      I’ve been on a break and have just recently responded to some comments when I can. I’m not really big youtuber but I enjoy creating content and having some memories to look back to. The likes and subscribers may just be a bonus. But thanks for the feedback. :) I hope you’ll find some videos I create that you’ll like.

    Isn't it a little like asking a one legged man to walk the Distance? It may be done, but with difficulty! 🤔

    • @meetmalaya

      Do you mean using a brompton for audax 100? It wasn’t easy for me but I’ve done other 100km rides before with it and it’s definitely doable. In our biking group, there are also several Super Randonneurs who ride brompton. Of course, their skills and experience are far off than me 😅

      @@meetmalaya I am a former, Danish "Long Distance Walker" (When I was younger, more than 20 years ago (I'm presently 76!)), also a few 200km Audax walked in 40 hours in Belgium, but I am also an owner of a, "heavy rolling", small wheeled, 2019 SuperlightM6LXBrompton - by now down to (+ mudguards, I'm still a Dane!) 8,5 kilo (I expect to reach 8 kilo with a little more work and replacements, mostly on my mudguards (So who needs a T-line with only 4 gears and a lot of initial problems?)!).
      But honestly I would never even - try to ride a 100km on my Brompton - so, Lots of Respect!!!😄😁 Finn. Denmark

      Any Good quality bycles is more than capable of long rides.. it's up to a riders or group of riders .. and in this particular event with two wheels 20 inch or less was granted as finishers.. so no guidelines regarding time to expect in every feedi g stations.. riders who decide to ride on This smaller wheels basically is just out there for curiosities though Physics and Math had the answers .. SLOWER with High heart rate and more efforts needed.. less expensive bikes can even do the job way better.. hyphing is another factor..

    • @finncarlbomholtsrensen1188
      @finncarlbomholtsrensen1188 5 місяців тому

      @@mharck45 A Brompton with the small wheels is much harder to ride from that, but of course it may be done, especially in a large group.
