Drug addiction is a disease, but the first time is ALWAYS a choice (unless someone’s holding you down & forcing you to yo take the drugs).

F this. Drug addiction is a choice. The first time, the second time and every time after that. It’s weakness, not a disease

Stupid argument, you can't sau this if you already drank alcohol wich is a hard drug. Addiction is an accident of liberty that turn into a disease that need medical care to be overcome. However, being a liar, a manipulator and a robber has nothing to do with addiction.
General population should view addiction just as a cancer or an other heavy disease, it is not the patient fault, however, the way the patient behave IS its responsability

There are huge chunks of this story untold, probably because OP never knew it. Why did Zoe go bad whilst she was still in Elementary school. That behaviour isn't natural and one wonders if she'd been a golden child, spoiled by her parents who never disciplined her or forced her to face consequences. That's difficult for a parent to do but if she got away with 'mischief' enough times, then the path to the bad end was set in stone.

Zoe has to rock bottom. Let her go and don't bail her out.
