Bill Hanna & Joe Barbera will always be missed. The professional and personal chemistry between them as both business partners and great friends cannot ever be duplicated. The cartoons and their legacy will live on forever, they may rest in peace
In the early 1980s, Hanna-Barbera was the first television animation studio to used digital ink & paint before Disney used it for animated films in early 1990s.
They have made billions of people very happy over the years and I am one of their greatest fans . I am 62 years old and I still love to watch cartoons every single day .
I m wondering how it feels to be a person who bring the smile on many generations. Respect for this two humans who filled my childhood with joy. Rest In Peace guys
Daws Butler voiced Bingo in the 1968 series The Banana Splits Adventure Hour. Don Messick voiced Scooter and Scatman Crothers voiced Scat Cat in The Skatebirds. Casey Kasem voiced Robin the Boy Wonder in Super Friends.
Bill and Joe were so inspirational when it came to their cartoons. Hanna-Barbera were so special and my favourites has to be Hong Kong Phooey, the Banana Splits and the Harlem Globetrotters. Hong Kong Phooey 74-76, the Banana Splits 68-70 and the Harlem Globetrotters 70-72 RIP, Bill and Joe
I just realized that all of Cartoon Network’s original programming are technically Hanna-Barbera productions since Cartoon Network Studios was originally a division of Hanna-Barbera. Cartoon Network Studios Europe is now even called Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe. STEVEN UNIVERSE is a Hanna-Barbera cartoon. 😐 ADVENTURE TIME is a Hanna-Barbera co-production.
William "Bill" Hanna and Joseph "Joe B." Barbera paved the way for Frederick "Texas" Avery, Joseph "Joe R." Ruby and Kenneth "Ken" Spears, and of course Sidney "Sid" and Martin "Marty" Krofft, together these 7 legendary kings of kids and teens' entertainment created a funtastic world unlike nothing we never seen ever since!
It's funny when you read up on cartoon shows.Like the guy who did animation for Charlie brown also worked for disney. And rubby spears worked at HB.They started making cartoons for the ABC WEEKEND SPECIAL.I am a guy born in the late 1960.So I saw a lot of he cartoon space ghost, winsome witch ,shazzen. And many more thanks to local TV station.
Well actually Tex really influenced Bill and Joe in terms of humor, comedy and timing. Tex was inspirations to them and also everybody at Warner Bros. Tex was the first guy in animation to bring the spotlight of cartoons on humor, comedy and gags
@@ericoxner8333Not only did the guy who did Charlie Brown on TV, Bill Melendez, work on Disney, he also work on Looney Tunes under Bob Clampett! Funny, since the Clampett Looney Tunes shorts and the Peanuts TV Specials’ animation are like night and day, although the differences are understandable.
As with the Scooby-Doo clips, Scooby-Doo was basically more or less The Archie Show (or Hanna-Barbera's answer to "The Archies") sans the musical segments.
Hanna Barbera now deserves more respect. Shows such as The Banana Splits, Captain Caveman & the Teen Angels, Speed Buggy, and Loopy de Loop should all get revivals and even Scrappy-Doo deserves a chance to be brought back and be rewritten more likable! And I do not count that garbage HBO show Jellystone!
I'd be careful what you wish for regarding revivals of some of these shows. Jonny Quest is my favorite animated show of all time, but it would be bad news if they revived it without any of the original talent.

I wish the people at Cartoon Network now would be like these wonderful individuals.
I wish every animation studio could have wonderful people like Bill and Joe heading it. And also people like Walt Disney too

Gordon Hunt was the father of Oscar and Emmy-winning actress Helen Hunt. Andrea Romano, James T. Walker, Mark Young and Kelly Ward are Emmy Winners.
Bill Hanna wasn't only an artist but a singer too
And voice actor... he provided the screaming for Tom when he got hurt. He also used that scream for some incidental characters.
