- Our first few days in Greece are spent in the fantastic gin-clear waters cleaning our #coppercoat hull.
We have to purchase a new pair of goggles for Steve who decides they come from #pandorasbox lol.
Corfu is a beautiful city, but we feel there are too many people there at the moment so start to head south and visit some of the delightful anchorages that Greece has to offer.
A lot of the anchorages have pontoons that are free to use if you use the local restaurant, which are just as cheap as buying food at the supermarket.
Life if so simple here in Greece and boatlife is a dream. The weather is extremely hot with Greece going through a heatwave and temperatures reaching over 40degrees.

We are Steve and Annette. We have been together since we were 15years old and believe me that was many years ago. We have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. We are now a young middle-age couple who want sail the world as far as we can for as long as we can.
Steve used to be a Marina Hoist Operator in charge of yacht lifting operations. He dealt with super yachts, the likes of the J Class yacht's and Oyster Super Yachts, a multitude of other large sailing vessels up to 200tonne as well as the smaller yachts like Cordelia.
Annette was an Operations Manager & Bookkeeper at a marketing company LCM www.lcm.co.uk and continues to work part-time.
We had been planning our cruising life for over 10years and finally at the age of 55 decided that the time was right for us to let the lines go and start living our dream. We love to see new places and enjoy the different cultures of each country. Our long-term plan is to just enjoy it whilst we can, see as many places as we can and share this dream with those of you who are interested in watching and joining us.

It's stunning here, similar to the Balearics but so msny more anchorages. Annoyingly we are only here for another 4wks.

@@SailingSVCordelia have been watching them sporadically, unfortunately brain cell has been elsewhere but starting to get back to "normal" , will try to help with feedback, I think if there's any input I could help with it might be in as far as you tube shorts seem to be a huge thing, 1 minute break down and possibly the longer vid as the main, do a short of the dolphins see how that goes 🤷. Maybe make your 10-20 minute fortnightly into a 10-20 minute compilation of 1minute shorts. 🤷.

Just out of interest how did you manage to get Italian residency, Brexit has really screwed our traveling plans...we’re due to leave the UK in April 2022, but due to the Schengen were having to head straight to Turkey..
We were in Ragusa Marina in Sicily for winter. As we were there before 31st Dec the mayor of Marina di Ragusa said that all berth holders could use the marina as their residential address. All we had to do was show we had £6k in an account, marriage certificate and passport. The whole process took us 8wks at a cost of €96. BUT.... this only entitles us to longer stays in Italy, schengen/90days still applies everywhere else in the Med.
We know of a few people that have made the passage from UK to the Med this year. They have stopped in France, Spain & Portugal but not checked in. They haven't stayed long in each place but have gone ashore.
Turkey this year is a nightmare. Almost all marinas are booked for winter 2021/22 already. Tunisia has been red listed at the moment due to Covid and riots.
We are heading west after Greece because of Schengen. It's totally messed up so many peoples plans.
Don't let it put you off though. Croatia & Albania are beautiful from what I see and Malta are not stamping passports from what we hear, so its a good stopping place.
