- Our worst fears were confirmed when Hytale finally broke the silence on July 1st, 2021, releasing the Summer 2021 Development Update. In the blogpost we finally got what we were asking for, news of a release date. Let me warn you, it isn’t good news.

“What has become increasingly apparent is that we have several more years of work ahead of us before Hytale is ready to launch. We don’t want to provide another estimated launch window that turns out to be incorrect. However, we no longer expect to be ready to launch Hytale before 2023 at the earliest, and it could very well take longer.
There are two key considerations driving this assessment. The first is that our capabilities as a studio have significantly improved and the scope of what we can do has expanded. Put simply: we’re better at making games than we used to be, but taking full advantage of this takes time.
The second consideration is the need to develop Hytale in a way that allows us to bring it to multiple platforms as rapidly as possible. It’s always been our goal to eventually release Hytale on mobile and consoles as well as PC, but it has become apparent that we were heading for a scenario where our community would ultimately find itself split across versions and devices. We think it is enormously important to avoid this-to create an ecosystem where as many players as possible can play together and share their creations. However, this means making major changes to Hytale’s engine and our approach to launch, and this extends development time.”

Hytale is no longer in my plans for my future, not on UA-cam nor business / my personal life. The game will release whenever it releases, but I will NEVER AGAIN count on it coming out. I want to be hedged such that if this game never releases, I will be ok. It hurts to know that this game that I had so much love for is out of our grasp, possibly forever, but the healthiest way for me to deal with this situation is to take a step back from the Hytale community until further notice.

While I enjoyed that part of the video, as a UA-camr I would have cut it out. That way the AVD would have been higher contributing to more views. That belongs in a finance video.
This video was 99% more interesting then watching a Skyblock video thats for sure.

Honestly, minecraft has done amazing
Games just can’t do that as well as they can now, it will be competing with games that have been refined for a long time, and the expectations are much higher than they were when mincraft was released. They have to have a complete game or almost complete to release and then rapidly update to get rid of any bugs they have

Hey Thirty, here i an idea to "save" your chanel if you like to read. You can use the UberItems to make a multiplayer server with others youtubers and implement new mechanics along the way (as skyblock). You can hire someone to make new items, make it your self or leave to the public. Modpacks exists because of lots of peaple making single mods. So you can have an unique and fun tipe of video! Hope you like the idea!

New features should be in updates
Instead of going for everything at once
It seems like the programmer going for the Waterfall approach (Include all features at once and then release the whole game) instead of Agile (Incrementally adding features based on feedback from the customer). Especially if they set a certain price tag for the game instead of changing price tag in conjunction to the amount of content the game had like Minecraft which costs 10 Euros in beta and now costs 27 USD.
They should have just done like Minecraft. Release a beta and then improve the game over time. Instead of putting so much pressure on themselves do it all at once, putting the game in development hell and allowing feature creep to set in; the devs are and have been going about this wrong way the entire time, that it doesn’t even make any logical sense the way they are going about this.

@@NormanOtterman agreed, a similar approche to baldurs gate 3. its in like mid development adding new features classes races scenes and lore every patch. the game is already very loved by people and everyone is aware of the long waiting time but at least the super replayable early access. ( game hopefully coming out in 2022 )

From your recent video's i've seen that your in a hard period of you life with everything going on with skyblock, hytale etc. I just want to say that I (and hopefully the whole BotNet) supports you and will forever. Just remember that if things get too much, stop with making video's or streaming for a while. Remember that the number one priority is your mental health. Whatever you are gonna do, we will support you.

I have remained rather skeptical from the start since its reveal on Dec 13, 2018. The numbers in itself should really be telling something is up, especially if no Alpha/Beta was officially announced by the Hytale Developers. And they are at the stage (from what we've seen thus far) that they are probably letting it slip by.
At least in Minecraft's case, it has been announced in 2009 to roughly be in Alpha and then in Beta closely within a year later. Hytale has never stated anything or made mention of it and it is years overdue to introduce it to a currently awaiting fanbase. This isn't a good thing. Granted, rushed content is a bad omen in the tastes of the consumer, yet even as I looked through most of the comments that merely mention the change in the game's release date, it is already testing their time and patience when it should have been made available a time ago when it should - really, they've shown us this content so far in blogs, images/videos & songs yet seem to appear to be stingy on posting a testing session to like, many that have signed up. The hype and fondness that was shown since 2018 is now slowly beginning to seed doubt to the fans it had gained, and I only pray that this strange trope is not going where AAA games held by other gaming companies.
They shouldn't be afraid to do the approach Minecraft had done, it would probably be better. With the gradual updates that pretty much make sense for a game like this.
Take it how you like, but its apparent: whatever approach they're doing is just not working, and there is only so much we can take before people really will think negatively on this.
At this point, they're almost close to getting the bullet to the foot the more this goes on...
It's easy to tell that their desire to have it on consoles and mobile is a huge root of the problem. Anyone with half a brain can tell that was a decision forced by RIOT. This whole game is just gonna end up like Cubeworld.
@@FlareFritz I had simple expectations, if the game did even just what the 1st trailer showcased then I would have been fine. But it seems like they're biting more than what they can chew. I'm hoping that I won't have to look back at Hytale as a failed game years later.
@@Martin-yh7vi Unfortunately for now that looks to be the case. People want to act like "how can it be dead when its not even released yet" works as an argument. A game can absolutely be dead before release. The lack of true transparency other than the miniscule updates we get now and then is a good way to kill a game. People can still be hyped for Hytale all they want but not getting a hint of even a beta release until 2023 at the very least is not something to be hyped about. The push for cross platform will be a major hemorrhage in Hytale for how much potential nerfing the controls and play styles will have undergo to conform to the very limited mobile and console controllers. Hytale had so much potential but being purchased by RIOT and suddenly all the worst news about the game starts to happen and its very obvious thats not a coincidence

@@neociber24 Yeah but Hytale is different.. People got a bit bored of Minecraft and wanted a replacement ASAP.. And it's kind of a ''childish'' game, it's much better to experience it as a kid rather than a grown up.. The game will lose the charm for us who were waiting for it..
I'm 25 years old now and i already have trouble finding teammates in Minecraft that are my age, most of them are kids. And by the time Hytale gets released i will be almost 30 and i will be that creepy old weirdo haha.. And it probably won't be as fun as it would be now

@@Deleted_userad it rose to popularity again but it has never reached what it once had. And now, it’s currently on it’s way back into obscurity as search results and view numbers show. And that makes it very likely that in 3 years it probably won’t be around to see hytale release, especially if hytale is delayed further.
So current number do estimate that it will at least be a little faded by then.

I really like this video, just how it's made the music, background footage, and the topic itself. How it's made to the rhythm of the music, especially the final part at the end, those flashing lights to the music. Fezzy and thirtyVirus did such a great job with this video, keep it up I hope for the best for you two!

Rule of thumb in this industry, when a dev says they shall take their time they need to complete a game, this means they are already in the middle of a nuclear disaster in their office.
This is one of those games that keep getting pushed back until they lose money or people lose interest, then they are never released :(

Basically Hytale studio has too much on their plate. How come a small new studio such as Hytale is trying to create a multi-console game when there isn't an initial release/beta? Larger studios with DECADES of experience and large budget are unable to deliver games without bugs( granted they are crushed with tight release dates) I highly doubt Hytale are going to pull it off. They should have had a beta or released a PC version by this point rather than expand their work load to other consoles when the game is very deep into development and trying to change the engine and other stuff, I guarantee that they will downgrade a lot of features to reach minimum expectations for a "stable game"

I think thirty’s sweet spot is progression games, he’s got the commitment and work ethic to grind through games that we all might want to play, but don’t have the time to do. It’s games that give you that sense of improvement and growth without us having to play the game. That is why i watch the skyblock vidoes, because i love looking at how far “we’ve” come. I think games like world of warcraft, skyblock, and other things in the category is where thirty should go, it’s his strong suit.
I hope that the new content does great and I for one will be watching it. Gl on yt.

I started high school in 2018 and was really hyped about the game and I’ll be going on to University in 2023 when the game comes out that’s how long they are taking

Literally can’t be dead lmao, the hytale team expected less than a million views on their trailer. That’s partially why its taking so long because they feel pressured to make it a great game.

You should try to do a let's play on Vintage Story
Considering that most of your content is MMORPGs, maybe you should try having some short series on other MMORPGs like Wynncraft and other servers. Also, I'm sure that you could have some sort of sponsorship with other servers to do a series on them.

Yeah SF4 was so funny, people are so stubborn and don’t want to watch any thirty content besides Skyblock even his SF4 videos were definitely funnier and objectively better.
Ooo idea for new content, don’t know if you’ll see this but maybe more modded series like the sky factory series with fezzy. I really enjoyed that series and I’ve even gone back and watched it again so I think another mod to play with fezzy or someone else would be a great idea for branching content

*I’m on Hytales side here.*
Games take time and this is just unrespectful to the devs. They are a small studio building a standalone game from the bottom up and it takes countless revisions and hard decisions. Of course the release date is not going to be set because creativity is wild. We are not dealing with a triple A studio with hundreds of developers, designers, marketers and programmers that need to deliver to a set date to bring in the optimal amount of profit. Hytale was born from a minecraft server, relying on the bigger game to survive. They did not expect whole youtube channels to be based around Hytale and they are *not* liable for taking their time and doing it their own way and not adapting to the overwhelming audience who just kinda showed up to the party. We don’t want another No Man Sky situation (I’m talking about early release days here), where an indie studio gets pushed into releasing something undone and bland just because the soon to be players felt betrayed by the way the game was being developed.
I just want to say as a fan that I respect the hustle and I wish you good luck!!

@@DeBuppy Not rly, Minecraft is a infinate game and only the player can do so much. If you think 1.18 only add 1 week of content you should relook your way of playing.
@@FluePeak Is it not a week? Each update has only been the same thing. You would just explore the caves, which takes less than 2 days to discover all of them. There is really nothing new. New update, create a new world, and play like normal but with a small twist. Mod creators with a smaller team are pushing updates faster with much more content. If Minecraft can just add in the Aether mod, the game would blow up. Or start adding in mods as part of the game. Anything mods people make are owned part by Mojang.
