I still have my 1999 C230 Kompressor. I’ve been driving it since 1999, mileage is at 107,000 now. Never had any problems with this car. So sturdy. I Love this car!
This is a 1999 gray Mr C230 kompressor and for those who don't know compressor is actually German for supercharged the second generation C-Class called the w202 was from 1995 to 2000 at 0:52 it sounded like a four-cylinder let's see what she's got under the hood there is the latch under the grill to open the hood now under the hood is the m111 2.3 l supercharged inline 4 it has a 16-inch wheels this car is actually for sale and this car costs 8900 it costs $8,900 for this car at 3:57 hear the sound of that 4 cylinder The supercharged 4-cylinder the radio is pretty basic this one does have a part of sunroof it does have a power moonroof taking a look at the back seat in this car does your latches to fold the rear seats if you need more cargo there is your CD changer and there is your trunk pass through there is your sun visor the mirror the vanity mirror lights actually works on the driver's side it doesn't work it's kind of burnt of this 1999 gray Mr C230 kompressor
this is one of the best mercedes benz ever made by the germans, it was practical, even the sound of the engine on the C180 1995 version was awesome and sounded powerful, enough to shake the car at a limited 4.5K revs... ALL TIME LEGENDARY CAR.... mercedes should remake this model in tribute o sumn
My grandmother owns the only one in the UK (as you couldn't get them here- it was imported and converted to RHD) and I can tell you now, it is one of the most comfortable cars I've even been in, and I get all excited every time I ride in it :) Edit: From reading the comments, quite a lot of people's grandparents own them!

I almost got one of these for my first car.. but I decided on a 2009 Chevy Malibu instead. These are cheap, quality-made, and reliable, but the look and gas mileage of the Malibu did it for me better. Got it for a steal, that's likely the only reason I have one.
I am usually not a huge fan of Mercedes but this ones great and in perfect condition! Looks like a great first car, nice job Kyle. Is it really just an inline four though?
Never knew kompressor ment superchaged, i thought it was just a turbo. Thats a nice little car and that interior looks like its been maintained soo well.
the engine on the 1993-2000 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Engine 1.8-2.3 L M111 I4 2.8 L M104 I6 2.4-2.8 L M112 V6 3.6 L M104 I6 AMG 4.3-5.4 L M113 V8 AMG 2.0-2.2 L OM604 Diesel I4 2.2 L OM611 Diesel I4 2.5 L OM605 Diesel I5
@Forgoten214 People would definitely pay the windshield price. These are hard cars to find, and if you do come across any they're usually driven like hell and it shows. This car is in mint shape in and out. Seeing an S Class for that price is tempting to get.
Are the rear headrest supposed to slam down like that? I thought mine were broken. I thought it would be more of a softer fall. But I guess that's how they were designed?
Mercedes didn't really change their key designs much. The chrome key is from 2005+ onwards (my current 2013 C350 looks slightly different). However, any Benz dealer can program any key to your car, but the keys can get rather expensive.
Years ago, a best friend was a certified tech for MB having had his training in the military. I would buy these MB different models, he would do necessary fixes, and we jumped to Jaguar, Porsche, and BMW along with Cadillac. All were reasonably what you would expect from a luxury class designation. One interesting piece of info. proved curious; if you bought a Euro car that was manufactured for European operation, the American parts and/or service on these cars brought to US was trouble, but
lovely but very pricey, even vs a similar yr in Australia and that says something. Mileage not relevant if it's been serviced and they haven't even done that , note the service spanner on start up. That can be zeroed BTW but this is just far too expensive.
man i would love to build this car up, swap a turbo and a big fmic and damn that would be a wonderful car. kinda of a sleeper even though its a benz, business class haulin ass ;)
Kyle What is your obsession with gas filler doors? Looking for a tiny little genie? Answer key for your next big Pharm test? Whats the deal neil? That car is the bomb!!
i would take this.if you look you can buy some of the cleanest ones for real cheap.i found a 1997 AT version in garnet red and beige interior with 17" amg alloy wheels and 150k kilometer mileage for just 990€.it's in germany so it might be a little pricey, but trust me,this is one of the most comfortable and durable cars under 5k(after the w210 and w220 ofc)
Did you press a button when you opened the trunk? I don't like that. It seems that someone can just go up to your car and take whatever you have. Other than that I think I wouldn't mind having this car, thanks for the tour!
@sjvirchow well from what i have seen for this car the key was like that but it had no chrome on it and it was all blck the one he had was probally a newer replacement
to much car noise to much camera noise wind is howling whole video how about you put it in a garage and do your reviews watching this video is painful to do i mean serious can you shake your camera making that annoying camera sound ratling anymore ?
replacement parts from oreily are juss a bit more expensive than japanese cars.... the problems is if you have to change the engine or transmission then your only choice is the original which will be expensive
I still have my 1999 C230 Kompressor. I’ve been driving it since 1999, mileage is at 107,000 now. Never had any problems with this car. So sturdy. I Love this car!
Do you still have it?
I don't have a C230 kompressor

w202 is never out of time.. it's classic but still up to date model
Mercedes. One of the best cars one can buy.
My grandmother owns the only one in the UK (as you couldn't get them here- it was imported and converted to RHD) and I can tell you now, it is one of the most comfortable cars I've even been in, and I get all excited every time I ride in it :)
This is incorrect. The c class was sold in the UK? Unless you mean this particular model?
This is better than the new C-class
I almost got one of these for my first car.. but I decided on a 2009 Chevy Malibu instead. These are cheap, quality-made, and reliable, but the look and gas mileage of the Malibu did it for me better. Got it for a steal, that's likely the only reason I have one.

I’m glad I found your review of this particular car.
I don't know why but This is simply my favorite Mercedes
Never knew kompressor ment superchaged, i thought it was just a turbo. Thats a nice little car and that interior looks like its been maintained soo well.
Great car and what's amazing is that it's very very clean. The owner must have taken great care of it.

Joseph Linz
Beautiful little car. I just love the C-class, they are so cheap for the technology and refinement they carry.
Wow,it's really clean and nice ;].Like for 1999 of course. The engine is good looking too.
Ahhh, that engine sounds amazing!!
That's one nice looking mercedes C230 Kompressor and thanks for the video ^_^
is a mercedes benz that from 1999 supposed to have a 2012 looking key
@NintenUHD thats cool
Why dose the key look really modern?
Ye after 20yrs still modern tho
@Forgoten214 People would definitely pay the windshield price. These are hard cars to find, and if you do come across any they're usually driven like hell and it shows. This car is in mint shape in and out. Seeing an S Class for that price is tempting to get.
Dashcam Dumbasses but this is a c class
Ever think that a 2012 could have a 1999 looking key? Just a thought.
why change something that is good
Car is in very nice shape
i like the black version
this car can move!
It can really move bro
So any Mercedes that is Kompresser that means it’s Supercharged ?
Yeah
Mercedes invented the supercharger and the engineer within the company called it Kompressor. That’s pre Benz merger.
Mercedes doesn’t market current models Kompressor because none are supercharged.
My grandpa have this car, i like it, he said gift to me in a thousand years jajaja. 5:41 GTA V intro song (:
ElGamerChapin11 stg 😂😂 🔥🤘🏾song is phil collins i dont care anymore
Are the rear headrest supposed to slam down like that? I thought mine were broken. I thought it would be more of a softer fall. But I guess that's how they were designed?
CeeStyleDj yes they do that at least on the e class
They are designed like that. For better visibility
@@MybeautifulandamazingPrincess I know that part, but my comment was about how hard they fall down lol. Oh well.
These are so rare now a days
@markogamesTV 758 yeah I have one in Lebanon 😜
I have the same one, but AMG Looks Great!
Mercedes didn't really change their key designs much. The chrome key is from 2005+ onwards (my current 2013 C350 looks slightly different).

It's common to hear the German word KOMPRESSOR for SUPERCHARGED. How awesome!
Former '94 C280 driver. Family sold the car because it just got too expensive to maintain.
my request for you is to take this W202 for a test drive. very original condition.
the 1993-2000 Mercedes-Benz C320 was assembled in
Bremen, Germany
Sindelfingen, Germany
East London, South Africa
6th of October, Egypt
I love this car. If anything happened to my car, (which I hope nothing does) Id love to hav a 2000 in green.
Wonderful car!!!
this is a more particularly rarer benz
This was my first car.
I might be getting a 1994 Mercedes W202 as my first car in 3 years because i'm 13 years old.
@@jefferyclark2340did you get the car ?
i really like these Mercedes
hey theres a w and s to the left of the shifter, what do they do?
I think it just switches between the sport and comfort modes for the transmission
Ohh that's cool, well thanks alot
no problem
+Trikster1of4 incorrect W- winter or wet (starts in 2nd) S-standard (starts in first)
+Sean Rebelo oh ok
Thanks for the clarification bud!
how mutch horspower in this supercharger car?
193 HP @ 5300rpm
280 NM @2500rpm
So why not just get the 280 lol? Why did they even make this car
I think this engine is the perfect on this car
Ian Mcdowell fuel economy? Complete against Honda Civic
Hans Brammer
Are you still having this car?

Hey kyle, Can you try and find a 1998 mercedes e300 Turbo Diesel? They were the best diesels ever made. it would be great to see a video of one.
I have one, very good car.
Santiago Pfingst how’s the condition of it now? And is it worth restoring if it hasn’t been used in years?
lovely but very pricey, even vs a similar yr in Australia and that says something. Mileage not relevant if it's been serviced and they haven't even done that , note the service spanner on start up. That can be zeroed BTW but this is just far too expensive.
yeah, i've seen this for about 4-5k
I think you should show what all the buttons do and all the storage areas.
man i would love to build this car up, swap a turbo and a big fmic and damn that would be a wonderful car. kinda of a sleeper even though its a benz, business class haulin ass ;)

You forgot to show the casset player located behind the Radio screen
Anyone know where the supercharger is located
hey kyle how come you dont say the price of the car whenever you do a video?
I'm deciding between this and the 2002 bmw 325xi I would save some money with this but the bmw is newer

and i didnt realise this was posted 2 years ago
I love my w202 c230k but the rust is killing me
no it's a custom made key for select people who bought the car with the class it can be custom made for as back as a 1980's Mercedes I think.
Did you press a button when you opened the trunk? I don't like that. It seems that someone can just go up to your car and take whatever you have. Other than that I think I wouldn't mind having this car, thanks for the tour!
How to turn off esp or traction control in it
Thats weird...mine has a sort of "tip-tronic" shifter???? Is that the standard?
What is the cost of this car now? I need one, 2000 model.
My 1998 c280 is worth 12k~ it has only 67k miles in mint condition 😅
I have one and I refuse to ever sell it.
@sjvirchow well from what i have seen for this car the key was like that but it had no chrome on it and it was all blck the one he had was probally a newer replacement
that is one fine car ..i know these
i'm surprised the mercedes have had those kinds of keys for so long cause they look really new
No fog lights?
I love Mercedes w 202

i love the shine of the tires from the tirespray.. cheap used car selling trick ^^
@TheDanster4 it locks when you lock the car so its like a dummy button

@rootbeerfan6 It's not necessarily a bad thing, I dislike cars that do not have a remote gas filler door.

Anyone know if parts are really expensive for this year?
I have this car 135k miles has been very reliable.
replacement parts from oreily are juss a bit more expensive than japanese cars.... the problems is if you have to change the engine or transmission then your only choice is the original which will be expensive
