The historical RPG taking place in Bohemia in turbulent times after the death of Charles IV. boasts not only a sophisticated story, historical precision, and great graphic concept but also an unusually sophisticated orchestral soundtrack by the Czech composer Jan Valta, interlaced with medieval songs by Adam Sporka. Both artists performed live on the stage, Jan Valta as conductor of the Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra.

@@Jigachader Wonderful game, great music, well paced story without nonsensical "hero defeats all enemies" themes, with great writing. Definitely best RPG I played since Witcher 3, hard to choose between the two. Though I may be biased towards Czech games (Hidden & Dangerous, Operation Flashpoint/ARMA have special place in my heart).
I really wish they did Czech voiceovers in KCD, it would make it even more authentic. Greetings from Poland.

I'm so happy I can finally see the concert from viewers perspective! I was in the choir but the experience was still amazing :) I hope there will be another performance some day.

I think the concert version of the fistfight music is even better than the one in the game!
I've always been interested in the views of the members of the orchestra themselves. Do you like doing soundtracks to movies and games or do you prefer doing established classical pieces from renowned composers and how do your fellow musicians feel about this? Also have you done any work alongside bands in other genres and if so do you actually enjoy that or is it more of a necessary evil for the orchestra to make money?

Everytime when I hear the tunes of "Skalitz 1403" set in... I get excited and want to play the game again... This, as the game, is a true piece of art made! :)
It's one of of those games that are far and few in between. It was made out of passion. Passion for history and cinematography. It has had it's flaws on launch and even after. But those flaws never deterred the view, for me, towards the goals they wanted to reach and ultimately have reached. This game is a true work of art like you said.

It feels like they created a story within the music, every single tune tells a part of Henry's story, from being gutted and losing everything, to finding hope again, to chilling out in a tavern or lost in the woods at night, every tune feels right and in place and it transports you to a time far away from ours without using fantastical elements to captivate you and instead using history as a tool to amaze you and immerse you in a world you never lived, I have only deep respect for the folks that clearly made this game with pure passion and love in a world in which the industry is dominated by greed and corporate bullshit, what a unique gem, I wonder if we will ever get to see anything like it again.
Ah man. Fist fight gave me goose bumps then made me tear up. That song is so underrated. and Jan Valta absolutely killed it on the lead violin! SO SO SO good! I had no idea that was actually him playing on the OST. He can literally conduct an entire orchestra and not miss a beat. Unbelievable. Pumping myself up to cover more KC:D songs!

Jan Valta and Adam Sporka deserve an award for this absolute masterpiece. The calm beautiful music while the camera flows through a beautiful recreation of Czech countryside. That truly is something else and fits like a glove. What a beauty
Absolutely the best game I’ve ever played!!! The music gives me goosebumps the second I hear it, and the game brings back so many childhood memories of playing in the woods in Switzerland, visiting castles, riding horses and more. It makes me feel closer to home when I’m homesick and lets me forget my worries.
The story is mesmerizing and the music supports it to where you never want it to end!
I have huge respects for anyone who worked so hard on this amazing piece of art and history!

Hudba ke KCD je neuvěřitelným mistrovským dílem. Bezpochyby jeden z nejlepších soundtracků, které jsem kdy slyšela a měla možnost "zažít" ve hře, a že jich bylo už požehnaně. Takže... Díky, pánové, opravdu! Je to hrozné, když na rozdíl od mnoha hráčů všude možně po světě mám Poděbrady v podstatě za kopcem, ale i tak jsem tam nemohla být... Takže ještě jednou velké díky alespoň za tuto příležitost, jak si tento úžasný soundtrack zprostředkovaně užít! :)

Absolutely in love with this music, specially 'Poverty and Famine' theme... I think that both the rhythm and the strength of this tavern song trascend borders, and it is a perfect example of the great cultural heritage of the european Middle Ages in terms of popular music. I am 4 years to late, when I discovered this game. Just recently when I was browsing through games while being bored. I came across this game, Really under-rated game no one I know talks about it or even knows about this game. - Story alone is great - Lord Hans and Father Goodwin are my Favorite Quests to do
I have played through KCD 5 times and i’m playing it my 6th now, i am really excited for the second game, KCD is my favorite first person RPG

My favorite medieval game. The best atmosphere for it too. And the soundtrack, oh my god. I think it might be my favorite videogame soundtrack. Can't decide between it and skyrim. But it's just so immersive.
No do psích náušnic, ty housle... i na takový jednoduchý melodii ve fist fight z nich pan Valta vytáhne tolik života, to je radost to poslouchat. Doufám že někdy tenhle koncert uvidím naživo.

I have been playing games since 1997 but loved only few games as much as I love Kingdom come Deliverance!
I have done 6 or 7 complete playthroughs with all DLCs and still cannot get enough of this world and story.
Sometimes I only spent time in the forest, by far the most beautiful forest in any game to this day.
I love the landscape, the nature, the atmosphere, the authenticity, the story, the side missions, the characters, the combat system and the fantastic music- just everything about the game!
Well done, extremely well done, Warhorse Studios!
A second part with the same characters plus some new ones would be absolutely terrific!
So jealous of people who got to hear this live! Do a US tour for the next one? :)

I missed the track of the prologue at the end. This track is so beautiful and very emotional.

I like how throughout the entire footage they've shown of Henry he has his initial outfit. He went for his sword, sieged Talmberg, battled the bandit camp, fought the hardest battles and rode with Hans into the sunset waving his red scarf and no piece of armor (Also, no stain of dirt on him)

When I first played this game, I got this crazy feeling of nostalgia, Thank you Warhorse for a great game and a fantastic soundtrack.
one of the most underrated games of all time imo. no idea how this doesn't have more mainstream coverage; like it gets some but this game shits on skyrim, witcher etc.
absolutely gorgeous performance from the orchestra, and sporka/valta's beautiful original compositions.
The KCD2 announcement has definitely gotten more people to know about the game. I think with its release, the game will get a lot more coverage and attention.
Came back to this game about a week ago. Honestly, for as small a dev team as it had, it's remarkable that they were able to put together a less scuffed open world medieval type game than Bethesda ha! There's plenty of jank in KCD, but it's mostly easily overlooked for the immersive world, eye for detail, and of course the combat system which makes every fight feel like a struggle for your life (as it should be). One of the highest highlights however, is this incredible score which just transports you to Bohemia 600 years ago.
Best game you can experience in life time.
It's lovely music-wise, but I adore how no one worried about the open curtain in the frame, right behind the conductor, with the (possibly tech-)guy in it , smoking and stuff. :-D

This concert was absolutely stunning! I have never had a game impact me as much as this one. It has been done so well, and with such precision, it should be the standard for all other games to follow. KCD with setting in Germany please, the most medieval place in middle age. And please the same way the first one was. What some people consisted as "slow" or "boring" was authentic and perfect. Never played a better game, so I need a second one of this. If it helps: I'll buy the first million copies
Bohemia was technically under HRE, was already pretty much "Germany", bugger off ;) Maybe in KCD 3. First I want to see Zizka and Hussites.

@@s.cartman292 Actually you raised one good point inadvertently. I know no German game development studio, that could do Germany-focused medieval RPG game. There is Piranha Bytes but they are small studio that does not want to be bigger (as Björn Pankratz admitted himself).
@@reav3rtm I love piranha bytes, and it's a damn pity that they don't want to expand. They made my absolute favourite RPG of all time (besides of KCD) called "Gothic". If you like KCD and you don't mind about the 2001 graphic, I'll swear to everything that's holy to me, you'll love it. The 1st and the 2nd part are just masterpieces and they're available on Steam for some bucks.
@@s.cartman292 Did you think I would mention Piranha not having played Gothic? I started playing them roughly when Gothic II was released (yes, I'm that old) and played all of them multiple times. Kai Rosenkranz is the best composer, whoever does the remake, has to get him onboard.
