Younger generations, through reactions, are learning who this man is and finally understanding why he's considered to be the GOAT. Happy to see him finally getting his flowers!
💙💙💙💙💙🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Stevie Ray was BA! YES, This was an original written by Stevie. He did so many fabulous covers also. Everything he touched was aaammmaaazzzing. White boys do have soul! Gone too soon. ❤️
Yes Stevie wrote this. It's funky, bluesy, and showcases his soulful vocals that are often described as "honey over gravel". His guitar greatness/legendary status always gets such attention that his vocal abilities are often neglected, and that's a shame. He lacked the same confidence in his singing that he had as a guitarist; but when he lets that growl and Texas drawl loose, his voice is killer! SRV is still considered the guitar GOAT for a reason, but as you just discovered, his talents as a singer & songwriter are impressive.
Fun fact about Stevie that it is all natural talent and it is hard to believe he failed music class in school.
He doesn't just sing, he can sang.
Stevie Ray Vaughn was the real deal, one of the greatest on guitar and such a expressive blues voice. Taken way too soon.
This is an original. This one is sooo goood! I love him and his low key fashion choices 😂 love your stank face BP!❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
Stevie did originals and performed blues classics, exposing a new audience to the blues OGs.
Stevie is the best blues guitarist of all time!!!!!!!
I'm not old enough to have gotten to see Hendrix, but I got to see Stevie 7 times.
that man was a gangster for real . Major OG
Yes, this is a Stevie Ray "original" written in the 80s, Just as much as Hendrix - Clapton - VanHalen - BB - Muddy - John Lee and so many others, Stevie just had a huge passion and just loved to play. I am truly enjoying your reviews on the older music - but even more so on what we considered the "Greats" We were lucky to live in the time and to go and see these guys on occasion, I even get a sense of...pride?... for the performer, when you are blown away and give respect to these guys, many younger folks just don't care about what happened or what came before them today. This stuff is what formed our youth and lives - seeing someone younger appreciate it is pretty awesome dude. thanks...
Back to the GOAT . You just feel his passion ,with Stevie he's one of the rare few that play from the soul . ✌ ❤
This is one of my FAVORITE SRV SONGS. Yes, this is written by him (1985) . Eric Clapton later covered it (1996)
Oh no!!! You need to see more of SRV! Especially the one with him performing with another blues legend Johnny Copeland!!! It is beyond amazing!
Imagine if in a different world if we could have had Hendrix, Vaughan, and Prince all on stage together.
Love how he makes that guitar just wail in this song. Yes,, this is one of his original songs.
Yes, SRV could SANG! You haven't heard nothing yet, give Tin Pan Alley live with Johnny Copeland a listen...your mind will be blown. And to think, he didn't want to sing.
Yes Tin Pan Alley💙🎸🎶‼️💯
Love Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland ❤️❤️❤️
SRV will always be the GOAT. RIP. Gone way too young.
There is a video out there of him doing a sound check before a show that I think you'd enjoy reacting to. You're a performer who has probably done countless sound checks so I'd love to see your reaction to it.
Greatest guitar player ever. Don’t believe me? Check out life without you from the capital theater.
That right there is what we call genuine baby making music 💯🔥❤️
🎸🎸🎸🎶 .... so glad that you are highlighting Mr. Stevie Ray Vaughan here Black Pegasus. To me , he is THE guitar God. I think he is the best there ever was. I saw him live once ... thank the Lord. 💚💚💚 me some SRV !! TY .. 🎶🎸🎸🎸
So lucky. One performer I wish I was able to see live I would of done anything to see him
@@conorpatrick8354 I saw him at N.Y. State Fair , and at the time I didn't really understand Blues music like I do now. I was blown away to say the least. He played in the rain , he kept playing until he had to stop due to getting shocked by his guitar. What a blessing that day was !
Loving Stevie’s vocal ending on this one. He is THE GOAT!
There are very few guitarist that can emote thru a guitar like him.... I truly believe no one else comes close to his style.... He is the GOAT
He is still the best! 🙏🙏🙏
You should check out his guitar sound check where he is wearing a leopard print coat and just remember it is a sound check he plays 3 different songs this is one the other two are Skuttle Buttin and say what
Yes please‼️🎶🎸💯💙‼️

Love SRV my favourite guitarist of all time....
But you have to give respect then is is due....
Double trouble, Chris and Tommy, are one of the best rhythm sections ever to play....
The trio make amazing music
❤️❤️❤️SRV!!! He’s my favorite!!! I think you would really like Life Without You live from The Capitol Theater. It’s just amazing.
Yes I agree Connie! He is ready for that performance now🎸🎶💙💯
@@harrietmiller3982 YESSS Harriet!!!
This man nakes me cry that he's gone. I am in love with his music. Like my soulmate........Love you Stevie ❤
Look at Tin Pan Alley with SRV and Johnny Copeland. Greatest blues duo together!
Back in the day (I started playing drums in 1964) when "Cream" was first getting together, Eric Clapton said he didn't want to be a main singer. The same goes for Stevie. We're all glad he changed his mind.
He was the entire package!! ❤✌️
Believe me seeing this men playing stays with you. He controlled the crowd ,when he played soft there was silence, when he revved us we roared . Saw him play in a small theatre and its cherished memory. Who needs a camera when your in the presence of greatness ☮️
pride and joy is my fav
Welcome to the world of Stevie Ray! The GOAT!!
This Man had so much soul it dripped out every pour of his body. I forget the name of the vid. But it's of him just doing a sound check, wearing fur coat. Man it's a must must watch.
It's called Soundcheck 😊 and it is 🔥💯. It has 23 million views and counting.
I sure ain't gonna give up on SRV either. What an artist....
Stevie was truly an artist that was taken way to soon. After kicking the drugs and alcohol, he became even greater. It's hard to fathom how far SRV would have gone.
He has lots of great tunes. Pick one, its great.
Playing the guitar for stevie was as easy as breathing, the man wasn't human
Great artist. Absolutely amazing. Great to see you have found him.
Another great song is “Riviera Paradise”. It has no lyrics and the music is beautiful in every way. I think “Cold Shot” is another by SRV.
Hands down the best blues performers that ever lived. He can play that guitar like his hands on fire 🔥.
I hear it's flooding down in Texas
Love his song Life Without You. The live version is amazing!
You picked a great song to showcase his Singing Chops. Which get highly overlooked and under appreciated due to the 15 fingers he plays the guitar with🔥🫠
Love Love Stevie Ray Vaughan . . One of the BEST and GREATEST!!!!!!
srv life without live at capitol theater is an epic performance..
Stevie also does a MTV Unplugged, I believe he is the first performer on this show. He plays an acoustic 12 string. He just kills it!
The 🐐
Trust me even if your an expert guitarist. This man will still have you on your heals. He’s one of the best of the best. Experts praise him and his ability.
Eric Clapton was quoted as saying (paraphrased) that hearing Stevie play guitar makes you want to learn how to play guitar. But when you play on stage with him it makes you wish you never picked up a guitar.
"Life Without You" PLEASE !!🐐🔥🎸😍😢😢
Live from The Capitol Theater!!!
SRV magic!!! Watch his live concert at the Austin City Limits, great performance. Gone too soon😪
"He can play" - No truer words have been spoken....
He slays every song live. This is one of my favorites as it does show off his voice. Do yourself a favor and watch "Life without you' at The Capital Theater. It shows off his voice as well but also has crazy guitar playing and a beautiful message in it with Stevie talking to the crowd. It will be one of your favorite SRV videos guaranteed.
SRV = The G.O.A.T.
I miss his music so very much. I knew before they made the announcement he was gone because they kept saying who all were okay and never said his name.. I cried all day that day. His loss, may he rest in peace, was a huge blow to music. I am so thankful I can say I got to be one that got to experience his pouring his soul out to his fans while playing and singing. I haven't ever experienced a performer give as much of themselves as he did when performing.
Was blessed to see Stevie live. What a memorable, amazing show. R.I.P. Stevie thanks for the gifts you left us.
SRV 💯💯
Stevie Ray Vaughn was such an iconic artist and I still remember that day he passed away in that tragic accident it changed my life. He was not supposed to be on that helicopter flight after that show and grabbed an empty seat that ultimately ended his life in Wisconsin.
Best ever! He took Jimis experimentations added the blues and shot to the stars. Love this man. Deserves RESPECT
BP, a reporter asked SRV once about his fashion, asking where he gets his clothes….Stevie shrugged and said “mainly truck stops”. Then, Stevie went wild when he discovered the glue gun…making his hats!
SRV had so much soul. When you left, you felt like you had just been blessed.
Stevie has a brother Jimmie he's not bad either. Stevie use to hangout with BB King 🎸🎶🎶
Earlier on this same American Caravan, you can watch Stevie play acoustic with his very good friend Lonnie Mack performing Oreo Cookie Blues! It’s off the chain man!
Life without you live at capital theatre by Stevie will blow your hair back, guitar playing in next level and there is a message in the song that applies even to today’s social climate.
There was never before or after Stevie any guitarist/ vocalist that had that amount of talent and intensity.
As a 63 year old dude who grew up with this great music, I really enjoy and appreciate seeing you get folks dig into this music. Probably my all-time fave SRV performance is Paradise Riviera, which he dedicates to everyone suffering, having had gone through and recovered from addiction himself at the time of this live performance. I highly recommend giving it a spin, whether you react or not. It truly is an instrument with a healing vibe to it.
He was a beast
Love Stevie Ray, love your reactions & love your T-shirt! ❤️👍 Check out the raw blues Dirty Pool 1982’s live at Montreux Jazz Festival, a young SRV before record contract. It’s totally badass.
I saw him in 88 open up for Robert Plant. This man seduced me with his guitar and then he sang OMG smooth as butter❤😂
I’ve watched your videos and this isn’t the first time you’ve heard his voice, so I’m kind of surprised it’s a surprise in yours. He’s got a fabulous, blues voice.
Well Stevie adapts his voice to what best suits the song so his voice takes on different tones, nuances, and intensity. I'm sure that is what surprised him here. He heard Texas Flood, Voodoo Chile, and Pride and Joy so far. Next should be Tin Pan Alley to hear still another flavor.🎸🎶💙
G.O.A.T I WORKED A FEW SHOWS WITH STEVIE RAY. CHECK OUT THE CAPITAL THEATER IN PASSAIC N.J WICH I WORKED AS A STAGE HAND. WHST A GREAT HUMAN BEING. I MISS HIM❤❤❤❤
His 'the sky is crying'😢😅❤❤
Stevie had so much drip.
You would enjoy the video of him going through a sound check...as a performer yourself, you surely know what the purpose of a sound check is, and how mono-nondramatic it is supposed to be. Stevie doesn't do mono-nondramatic. Live performances were everything back then, and I consider myself lucky to have taken so many of them in...he was incredibly special.
there are some other must views of SRV, like Tin Pan Alley w/Johnny Copeland, Lenny (original about his wife and guitar), Voodoo Child, Texas Flood, and Life by the Drop. You have reacted to some already, and this list most certainly isn't the complete list of SRV's greatest must-view tracks, but it is a good start.
Near the end of his life he got sober, his head in a good space. And got a lit more confidence with his voice. He's singin and jammin with Jimi in Rock Heaven
Love love this and your reaction❤..please do the version of this at The Capitol Theatre, and Life Without You..🙏✌️💕
That's my favorite too Starfire💯💙🎸. But there isn't a bad video out there...✌️👋
I'm a 38 Argentinian female who grew up with dad playing the STR CD's in loop all the time. This song always hit me hard.
I seen him live. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
You have too ,it's a must ! That you listen to SRV ( Life without you) capitol theater NJ 1985
One of the GOATS for sure died way to young like many others,, Glad to see younger people reacting to so many great musicians , cause it seems to be a dying art. People aren't trying to learn instruments and form bands to much anymore.
#SRVforever ❤
He wrote it!❤
Love me some Stevie Ray Vaughan. Thank you for reacting to his song. He was taken away from us way too soon.
7:30 “Got That Soul Glo!!!”
Check out another original SRV "Life Without You" live at the Capitol Theatre. One of my personal favorites. ❤
Little wing is watching his for 7 mins and if there would be anytime ever to say that man is not in his body and channelling a flow form another dimension that would be it, those moments your like nope stevie has left the building and his body playing but he gone. Its so amazing I subber your channel for your appreciation for stevie. Thank you so much for being so open minded and respecting the GOAT
Loved him so. Miss him so. Please, More! And, Always Live!
Being in the buiz….You must watch SRV - Soundtrack
You should do Life Without You live at Capitol Theater next. 😎🤟🏼🔥💯
I seen him in Austiin h just killed it on stage
PLEASE go down this rabbit hole! It will be worth every second of your time. Muddy Waters said he was an "old blues man trapped in a white man's body".
When Lou Ann Barton quit the band, they were left without a singer. Stevie had sung a couple while she was offstage, so he had some experience, but he didn’t have the same confidence in his singing and leading a show, sort of how Eric Clapton was before Derek and the Dominos. He overcame his fears and just did it, practicing his singing like he did his guitar work, until he got to this glorious point. His songwriting skills grew too, and he had just gotten to his full bloom and started to get really famous outside of Texas when he was in the helicopter crash. In Austin, everyone was devastated, and I don’t think the music scene ever completely recovered. The city put a statue up at Auditorium Shores, between Palmer Auditorium and the Colorado River, where he and Double Trouble used to play. I remember canoes and paddle boats in the river behind the stage, and thinking they had the right idea, the best seats.
RIP SRV the GOAT.
Thankful U found Stevie.
Stevie! Rave on!
It is a must to listen to Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland. It is another opportunity to hear the sheer chops of SRV.
Yes please💙🎸🎶💯
And I will always remember in my mind seeing SRV live.
