6.23.21 This is a great video, thank you. I just booked at La Concha for July for 3 nights... it was $500 per night for the "cheap" room... I have stayed at the Stellaris Marriott in October 2019, it was $190.00 per night then... I am coming for my bday and everything is so expensive but, the curfew is over and I am hoping to have a good time with some friends. Stay blessed!

This was such a great video. I wish I would have seen this before I booked my trip. I’m staying at the Condado Vanderbilt. I wonder how far that is from the rainforest.
El Yunque is probably about 45 minutes away from there.

Great informative video! I'm planning a graduation trip for my best friend for sometime in June and we think the hyatt house hotel is the best choice! Do you know exactly where it is located at?
Haha yea i stayed there when i first arrived. One of the workers became my best friend. Its nice, a little off to the side but well located and close enough to everything. Its Miramar basically. Quick uber across the bridge to the beach

IN Llorens Torres? You know thats the largest project right? its aint that bad, i lived like 2 blocks away (ocean park) for a year and had no problems but yea.
We got this curfew of 10PM until Novemeber 13/15 or something like that

You cant go wrong with this list but no timit yourself to just these things. use it as a rough outline but stay flexible in case you make friends while you here and they have other suggestions/local/exclusive events that might be happening during your stay. Lie coronafest or random parties/events.

I took an Uber from the airport in San Juan last week….but this video is 3years old so I guess things have changed.
Thanks, I wish I saw this a week ago, lol. I just returned from Isla Verde stay Oct 27-Nov 1. I think Condado would have appealed to me more, but all the more to know for next time.
BTW Uber DOES pick up from the airport, there are specific ride sharing locations on the 2nd floor and was a 5min ride to my hotel. Price ranges on time of day/need. I paid $12 coming from in evening and $4 going back in early afternoon.

Right now Airbnb is cheaper than hotels. You just have to know what area to be in. Also what you are coming for, some don't care about the water just the island itself

N terms of inside I don’t know much about it I believe it’s in a nice location though. I always recommend la concha but I know it’s getting crazy expensive

@@jedabing6681 El Hotel San Juan - Fairmont is nice. Condado plaza hilton isnt bad.
As of right now we do not have restritctions in terms of beaches, nightlife, etc. That may change soon but we arent sure.
Your prices for March 2022, when I'm thinking of travelling are completely off. The El San Juan for example is $500/night. Condado beachfront hotels are double or triple the rates you're quoting.
This video was made in October 2020. Unfortunately prices have changed but the places are still just as good of recommendations.
El San Juan is nice, almost equal to La Concha in my opinion, 2 years later

In July 22 I plan on having a bday trip in PR. I know this video was posted a couple years ago, but does any have a suggestion on staying at hotel vs an airbnb for 5 ppl?
I think the Airbnb prices will be more affordable especially with that size group. Since this video prices have nearly doubled 250-300. and thats a standard room not a suite for 5.
Great video, but PR has many others beautiful places to go, also, and cheaper than Condado, Isla Verde and Old San Juan. Go to the tourism office and get a map to find out where all the locations are. All of them sorrounded by beaches, hotels and beautiful áreas, too. Outside from Metropolitan area. All Puerto Rico is beautiful. 👍

owwwww thats a tough one. I think La concha takes it, because the casino. But the location/Beach with El San Juan is better. Rooms/Hotel vibe seems the same. I think El san Juan might be a little high class, the restuarant there sells Tomahawk steak haha and the nightclub is my favorite. but you cant club right now...

Prices for a lot those hotels you mentioned are at least $300-$400 now

Which neighborhood would you say the young (21-30 year old) crowd stays?
Just FYI im 28. I would say that the young crowd is good to stay at la concha, other than that id say Ocean Park. Isla Verde is a good one too. Maybe a nice airbnb in Ocean Park if you wanna give up hotel style amenities.

If you are a single 27 ❤year old like me. Would getting a beautiful place in dorado be a waste because I wouldn’t be surrounded by young people?? Also is dorado far from all the clubs etc. I’m asking because the Hilton has amazing places to stay there vs La concha
You just gotta drive the 20 minutes to SJ, not the end of the world or uber.
@@wantsoverneeds6578 so I literally just bought the commodore king suite with a king 🤴 bed 🛌 and 2 queen 👸🏾 beds 🛌 2 bathrooms etc etc with ocean 🌊 front views for a cool $5,170 for 4 nights 🤣🤣 in the condado Vanderbilt hotel 🏨. The Hilton reserve in dorado looked so dope and to get a Pablo Escobar looking villa with like 5 bedrooms and a private beach 🏝️ was $6,262. So they basically the same price. Do you think I made a good decision with the Vanderbilt hotel?? I’m taking 2 girls with me bro I’m about to go crazy this 4th of July In 4 weeks 🤣🤣

I would recommend a ocean park or isla verde airbnb since that will likely provide enough space for the teens, adults, and littles

Why not catch the bus to San Juan from the airport for 75 cent?
I've never done that but in theory you could. I think the bus stop is at the front/outside the airport
You could defintiely do it, but youll needa know where ur hotel is. there are plenty of stops in condado, ocean park, isla verde tho so as long as you get on the bus youll be good.
In theory? I do it all the time. Can't remember the bus number, but you can ask and any driver will tell you. Also, keep in mind you can't have a ton of luggage. However, you can have a super loaded back pack. 😉
@@Scray1 haha the real ones know. Do everything in your power to only have a carry on. At worst 1 checked bag and u better be staying a month! Haha

Also, the bus system goes by all those hotels in your video and will stop at any of them. They run to ALL the municipalities. Also if you buy a $15 7 day bus pass, it doubles as a train pass to anywhere in the city you want to go.
