- Hi lovely people. We're Malin and Alex, a Swedish English couple who's currently living full-time in our self converter VW Crafter van in Spain. In this vlog we are feeling drained by a early summer heatwave, we talk about why we struggle with full-time vanlife, we think we're going to get robbed and of course we some pretty epic places in and around Spain's famous Nature Park Cabo De Gata.

Sometimes it is difficult to adjust; to get into the groove. The heat of summer in Spain and staying comfortable in this weather is certainly a challenge. In addition, the teaching takes a significant portion of the day. Thankfully with summer comes longer days with more light for shooting video. Loved the Beach of the Dead, gorgeous sand and water.
Hang in there; you will find your rhythm. 💚
Yea that beach was spectacular. Regret we didn’t go down there again. Yeah now when the honey moon phase is over and teaching in the summer heat without aircon is hard work, but yeah, the days are longer. We’re probably going to shoot a little less and make the videos 17 min instead of 23 min. It’s a lot of work to edit two long videos a week and it involves too much filming. I really know what it is like when that "honeymoon stage" is over and the day to day grind takes over. The coast of Spain is so amazing and beautiful and I am sure its like that all the way to Gibraltar. I am sure it takes a lot to acclimate yourselves to a new way of life but I have faith that you will succeed! All the best!
Thanks for understanding! We need to find a better balance. There were some things we didn’t mention in the Vlog, like the fact that we struggle economically as only Alex works and those are only part time hours and we left out my depression and struggle with having gained a lot of weight and having some other health problems. We’ll figure it all out eventually.
The coast of Malaga is way more than to Gibraltar. After Gibraltar starts the beautiful Atlantic coast which goes all the way to Portugal. And we skipped the Mediterranean part going from Valencia where we lived, all the way up to Barcelona and then obviously the Atlantic coast in the very north. So much coast and inland is pretty amazing too. 😊
Hey guys! Heatwaves are awful! We have one starting next week. The little village you went to for ice cream looked so beautiful! The views from the tower were amazing. What a view in your van. Cave homes would be so neat to see! The beach was perfect, too. Hopefully can life will settle down a bit soon!

You should take a look at Nerja and the white washed village of Frigiliana where you will find some amazing views of both the mountains and coast xx
Thanks for the tip. We’ve been to Nerja several times in the past but not to Frigiliana. We drove past this time as there weren’t any good recommended free park ups around there and we wanted to get to Malaga capital😊

It’s not so easy to interact with locals when you do vanlife. Much easier when you hitchhike. Totally understand that you miss that. We miss it too!

Hi. I’m currently in Tenerife on holiday, flying home to U.K. tomorrow afternoon 🤞 I love your channel as you both are showing me parts of Spain I am hoping to move to in the near future. Costa Blanca (Alicante) and Costa Calida right up to Almeria but in land is my search area to find a nice finca or Farm to reform. So selfishly I jumped at you saying you were heading inland.
