Can you do a video on the appellations in WSET level 2.. that’s what I have been struggling with the most. This was so helpful thank you I got all these correct!
So happy I got them all right. I am thinking seriously of taking WSET courses soon. Next autumn it will take place near home. Can’t wait for registration dates in July. Thanks 🙏🏻
Nicely done.
Great video. A lot of info need to be know by heart but the more we learn the more logical it becomes. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦!
Cheers and thanks for the comment.
With no formal training I got most of these, definitely want to look into getting my 1 and 2, 3 is where I will definitely need more training
Nice.
I'm thinking if taking the WSET 2 course, I'm a complete amateur with zero experience in wine or f&b, just a passion for fermented grape juice. I found all these questions very easy. Still, I'm really excited for the course and hoping to learn new stuff as well as put some structure to the knowledge I have already. Thanks for the video!
Thanks so much for watching.
Many thanks mate!
Your guidelines are really helpful!
I pass the exam next week! Got all the answers right! 💪
WSET 2 EXAM DONE-I found it a bit hard....Thanks for your video, hopefully they will help.!
Hope you get a great result.
Taking the 2 exam today! I think I'm ready, thanks for the info and quizzes.
Hope it all went well.
How did you do?
@@whoknew6503 I learned it takes 2 months or more to get your score, so I'll know how well I passed right about the time I start the WSET 3 classes lol. I think I did very well, though, sure I passed. Thanks for asking!
Thank you so much for the video! Exam is today and I am so nervous! Definitely helped a lot!
Hope it goes well.
Well I got all those right, I feel confident about skipping level 1 then I think! Thank you for these videos!

Greetings, I'm really excited to be one part of the wine world and I'm about to take WSET level 2 next month. I have been wondered that the expiry date of the WSET level 2 and later on. Could Grape Explorer or anyone who already took the certification help me this information, please. I appreciate your concern.
I am not aware of any expiration date on my Level 2 qualification. Thanks for watching.
Four days until the final exam! Big thanks from Moscow for your videos! Keep it up bruh.💯

I just love your channel! Thanks for this great info! Taking my exam in 2 weeks :)
Thankyou. Best wishes for the exam.
It was very helpful for me could you please mak more videos of mock test on wset level 2 it would heartly appreciated!
Thanks. I can definitely do that. Cheers.
I think I a ready for level 2... let's do it
Go for it.
great review although none of the question examples were anywhere near what was asked. I have found that the WSET group tries to ask questions that do not look like any discusses here nor on their examples. Some of the questions were very obscure.
Amazing Content! Thanks for the * GOLDEN* informations! Going to have my level 2 exam soon. Subbed and cheers from Italy!
Cheers thankyou
Terrific video!
So helpful and love your simple explanations.
Thank you for the positivity. Love it!!!

Thank you, super helpful video! My exam is Sunday. Cheers!
Good luck for Sunday.
@@TheGrapeExplorer thank you! Your advice of reading through the entire test first paid off. Passed with distinction.
Since I have seen your most video ,, which you have uploaded in UA-cam channel ,, now I have a question,,,
Could you please tell me about type of wine & more about wine in basic ??
Your question on the wines from the Douro in Portugal...I can't find anywhere in my WSET Level 2 materials where that is addressed? I'm sure I'm missing it, but the book is organized by grape and not region. When I go through the workbook, there is no identification of the Douro region? For example, on Part 4 of the workbook (page 53 in my workbook), Chardonnay, etc...there are maps that show where the grape is typically grown - France. I went and flipped through he whole workbook and did not see any Portugal highlights with the Douro region/valley? Did I totally miss it somewhere in the materials? Only have two classes, but I can't find that information?
Hi. As per the note on the question cards, these were correct as at 01/01/2019. The course and the topics covered may have changed in the last five years. Good luck with the studies. Cheers
@@TheGrapeExplorer Thank you!
It is so helpful. Thanks!
Hey there. Glad you found it helpful
Question: is there any value in getting the textbook for my own education with a plan to test. I'm currently doing a doctoral degree so cant plan to take test - but I'm thinking of getting the book just to learn more. Is there value in working through the book myself?
Always worth reading up on the topic and the book does an excellent job of making the subject approachable.
Thank you 🙏🏻
You’re welcome 😊
This was awesome! I got 7 of 8 and haven't started the coursework yet just the Wine Follow book. Feeling a lot better about it now!
Thanks for watching. Good luck with the course

@@kingrock2443 thanks. Best wishes for Level 2
Had 7 out of 8. What threw me was the sweetest German style question, the word "TROCKEN" which means "Dry".
That's not bad. Thanks for watching.
Very useful! Thanks for sharing!
No problem. Hope it helps
Hello there, Thank you for your videos, they helped me passed the WSET Level 2 with distinction at 86% of correct answers. I emailed the person who provided me with the results, requesting to know what questions I missed, and he said that the UK office don't allow to provide that information. I told them that they should be able to provide that information, in order for us to learn more and improve our knowledge by knowing what we missed. Any body here feel that this academies are already going through untrusted feeling of their reputations and when they denied easy information like that, they become not reliable like what happened to the MS of Sommeliers? I think they should provide the information to be trust, your thoughts, anyone????
If you have this book copy how can get
You get the book when you sign up to the course. You may find someone selling a copy on eBay??
Which book you were showing sir
Thank you.
You're welcome.
thank you !!! Your videos have helped me a lot !!!
Thanks for the lovely comment. Glad I was able to help.
Thanks
You're welcome

I just would like to ask you about the exam of 2019 because it's coming here once in the year and last year I get the corse in 5 days
so I miss to puss it,
this year I am going only for re-exam so i hear that you saying that the spirits going to be out
i just want to know if it's going to be out or no,
and if it's going to be out, is there any additional regarding the wine or it will be the same.
thank you again for such knowledge.
2019 sees the launch of Level 2 in wines only. You may want to check which course the reexam.applies to .
Very helpful, thanks!
Thanks.
Will this apply to WSET 2 2020? Thanks
This style of question will always be relevant for WSET Level 2 exams.
How do I learn to make wine 🍷
Study and try to find a practical way to learn.
my course will be in September, there's any possibility to get the book before? how?
Hi. I was able to get my materials prior to the course starting but it may change from school to school. No harm in emailing and asking. Best of luck with the studies
thank you I asked to the supplier that bring the WSET to Aruba and they said that will be given the same day of the course very short time to studu
Agree. If you really want to get them earlier (and don't mind spending a bit extra) they are available on Amazon and eBay
thank you 😊
Great video! Thank you!
Thanks for watching.
No formal education, just a lot of wine drinking. Got all of these questions right.
The drinking helps 😎
@@TheGrapeExplorer Yup...started drinking and collecting wines in the 1980s. Have been able to visit vineyards and talk to winemakers from many countries so I guess that counts for something.
@@ZippyDChimp-mr1tf That's exactly what I did.
@@TheGrapeExplorer kindred spirits!
WSET or Court of Master Sommelier?
For me it came down to what could I study outside of my day to day job. WSET was the right fit for me.
Also depends on your career goals. Both are great certifications, but WSET tends to be more technical, CMS more service oriented. People do both though - my prof for WSET Level 2 W&S has both her Level 3 in Wines, as well as tier 2 of CMS.
Absolutely agree your career and aspirations have an influence on what you wish to pursue
great! help watching your video.... many thanks
Thanks. Very kind of you.
EASY AF!!!!
Ok
10/10 🎊
Great score.
I was doing well until the German sweet wine. Failed all after that :)
Great. You should seriously consider starting at Level 2 if you are answering some of these already.
10/10
Great video! Thank you. Any recommendation on where to get some material to study a couple of months ahead the test? Best,
Hi there. I've linked a few useful books in the description. At Level 2 you need to know the basics of the key varieties and something like Wine Folly would help you with that. Best wishes.
