When this album came out, I listened to it over and over and over again. It still gives me goose bumps. Bob Marley and Santana have gotten me through the dark times and helped me realize that there's always hope.
Me too
God came down to us as a guitarist .
Freaking awesome, will never ever ever stop listening to the well deserved praise to Carlos Santana And No?
so smooth yet so sad.
No wonder he is one of the best ever
Exceptional even by Carlos's standards.
Stellar ....beyond ...
God bless that talent.
Amazing 😳
All I can say, he is a great guitar player and a whole person.
Charlie
Play this exact version when I die so I can transcend to heaven.
that's no guitar playin' anymore,
it's makin' love with it
Brasil Rio de Janeiro
soulful sounds for a son from his father
lonely sun-baked weedless afternoon off-season in St Lawrence Gap-Hastings Barbados dec 87 and this plays so loudly from cottage on main road that walls shake - I recognize Carlos of course and then cop to keyboard voicing that's like an old friend's smile - CTs no less - only 3 yrs into gig, Grammy award waiting - my god the world seemd pleasantly small at that moment
holy god... his feeling is so deep... 10x carlitos

Una leyenda Santana.
This is My Bro ... He is My Cousin ... We're from the same Family !!! We are Human !!! He's trying to help show us the Way ... Please Listen !!
Chester Thompson is the shit on the keyboards.
Chester IS playing the bass notes. Watch his left hand and listen to the bass. He has split his keyboard for bass on the lower two octaves and the "strings" sound on the upper octaves.
Everytime I hear that man I get high who needs drugs
Chester Tompson que aca toca los teclados,es el mismo baterista que toco con Genesis desde principio de los,80?,
Anyone know what synth and patch he is using for the string layer sound? i've tried lots of synths and can't get a string pad to sound like that, i know he has it layered with a DX E-Piano sound, if anyone knows please share
I'm probably waaay off base here but has anyone noticed the similarities here to a Boz Skaags tune ...think it's called Somebody loan me a dime?
@miguelbaptista
Who said anything about "drums bass etc."? Some of us prefer Chester's keys highlights to Santana's guitar overload. It's all about tastes.
I wish Carlos would have stuck with his Mesa Boogie MK1 as he's using in this video.
@arXter
not all songs need to have drums bass etc. This is a rare exception in the santana catalogue were there is none of those so, if u dont like, why not check his other songs instead of complaining ? peace.
He was the Guitar
Gianni Turatta PRS Santana custom
Graham Smith ..prs santana 1..santana yellow..not a custom as far as i know..
@arXter my mistake. I thought this Chester Thompson was the "other" Chester Thompson, who is a drummer.
Ha, so was I! I had to laugh at myself for this one....
Where is the bass coming from? Both of Chester's hands are playing chords.
@robertv9 ....no...they are both great ..written for the guitar ...listen carefully before you make moronic comments..
Ha! Exactly my thoughts. Bloody spotlight hog.
Miss representation! Where was Chester Thompson!?
It's Chester Thompson, the keyboard player, not to be confused with the drummer of the same name.
ouch!!!!
Salvador el hijo, no El Salvador, el pais.
I know he has an incredible foot, he would take over the bass lines in Tower of Power when he soloed. But this is ungodly.
