HOW TO TRAIN CHICKENS TO GO BACK TO COOP AT NIGHT | BUFF ORPINGTONS 9 WEEK UPDATE

- Whats up guys. Today I want to share with you guys how I trained my 9 week old buff orpington chickens to come back to the chicken coop at night. I really give the breed the credit, they are incredibly smart! On the first day, I just grabbed each chicken before night fall and placed them in front of the run chicken door. I let them walk into the coop by them self. Once all of them are in, I manually closed the run chicken door. The next day, I left them alone and came home super late. I was curious to see if they would go back into the coop to roost for the night. To my surprise they were all in and the door was closed. These chickens are quick learners and very smart. I am amazed. They have been doing this for 3 days now and I am happy with the run chicken door. I self opens and closes and automates my chicken keeping.

beautiful birds
Mine got used to a large door that I closed after they roosted, they are reluctant to use the Run Chicken door in the evenings I’ve just installed.
have you manually put them through the chicken run door one night ?
Dang dude you got those chicks trained 😳
now the wait for the eggs
@@prolificbreedaquatics dude I can’t wait, too excited!!
How do you like your buffs? I had 3 adult hens and added 3 buffs (1 roo) and I love them! Got them at 2 days old. I sit with them and one hen sits in my lap everytime. They are 4 months and just a joy.
Btw I got my chicks from cackle too! Great birds! Got an Easter Egger and a black astralorpe too!
they have been great so far. Very friendly and they come up to me when I am out there
CHICKENS ???? I KNOW IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I BEEN HERE BUT DAAAAANG NOW YOU GOT CHICKENS ?🤨
Funk!!! Yea dude, just got bored 9 weeks ago 🤣
Nice!
I believe it's "Cackle Hatchery", not "Crackle Hatchery", for anyone looking to buy from them. I have 7 Black Australorps coming from them in two weeks.
yea I ordered and never looked back lol
@@prolificbreedaquatics I've been doing so much research!
Where did you get your coop? I love it
it’s a kids play house 😉 bought it used and i repainted
like like a few of my girls
Try fermenting the bag lasts longer
i tried before and couldn't keep up with it
@@prolificbreedaquatics I keep a bucket and I have a couple of containers with the feed in it. I’ll add water to the feed in the container and then the following day put it in the bucket. Every couple of days I do this
They dont need to be trained. I never trained mine.
