If you know your scales, arpeggios, and some expensive chords but it still sounds like you are playing exercises, this course is a MUST. This course links those things together beautifully. Its not just usable vocabulary, it’s concepts that help you find your own vocabulary. Its how guitar is actually played.
Look. I know I’m late to this. The lesson was posted a year ago. But. Cmon. You’re fantastic, Corey. Your teaching is clear, practical and immediately implementable. I’m all over this. I want to support you for giving me these lessons. Is your course still available??? I could use your teaching to pick up my chops.
I'm a fan in my late 50ies, playing guitar in like 40 years :) and your teaching is so to the point and clear, that I've improved my playing considerably over only a few weeks since I found your channel - thanks, and keep up the good work :) I too am a massive Gary Moore fan and although his blues rock period is impressive, I much prefer the old stuff: Thin Lizzy, Colosseum II and onwards. His Victims of The Future album is in my top 10 of all time favorites - please consider breaking down the title track, rhythm guitar and solo. For some reason, that song always gives me goosebumps :D Looking forward to more great stuff
I do appreciate you actually calling out note names. I’m a classically trained Guitarist who is trying to learn a solo blues style. It makes my head spin when when instructors talk in string, fret and finger positions only. And that damn cage system, which I’m sure helps the younger players, makes me insane. I just learned old school. Lol..
Awesome tone from PRS as per usual. One fun sort of call and response thing you fall into eventually is; play your hot lick at 12 frets higher than the next hot riff you quickly play in the next bar then up 12 frets again back and forth. Sometimes to nail the riff you just did or make a variant of that. its like talking to yourself in lead lines.
My man I absolutely love your approach and how you explain and go about doing what you do. I am a very established player but I just so enjoy watching you play and how you approach it I would love absolutely love to play with you if you’re ever in New Jersey, please look me up. You are just fantastic, you’re making me rethink everything I do absolutely outstanding
One of the best blues lessons I've seen on youtube. Really such a great job Corey! Thank you. If at all possible, can you please do something similar to Rock (how to rhythm/lead by yourself).
Corey, you make playing so much more fun! Gonna check out the course! I consider myself and intermediate player and the lil nuances really spice things up! I love it! Again, great video!
picked up the course and your cheeky multi sku attempt worked on me... I'm still waiting on a DGT SE gold top that I ordered 3 days after it went live.
Love this video concept!! I am that guy you are talking about. Don't play with anyone, (practice at home, old guy with guitars and a cool wife). I am not yet knowledgeable on how to do the melody part?? Is there a video to watch for those of us who are just before this? I have the scales part, BUT I need to prior class where I learn the 12 bar blues progression? Thanks so much, I've been trying for a while to find help on this
Most of us do play alone the majority of the time, so this os fun stuff to know. Interestingly Corey uses 2& 3 note chords and inversions often used in jazz.
This course ("Blues Guitar By Yourself") continues to teach me ways to improve my rhythm and phrasing chops, as well as showing me unique blues "Congilio-ized" chord voices. A bargain at twice the price!
Love the lesson Corey and yet another course that I will absolutely have to get! All your courses are must buys! Any chance of opening up your giveaways to the UK / Europe in the future?
Great lesson. Thank-you. I've just joined a jump blues band and really looking to expand my rhythm playing in this style. Which of your courses would you recommend? Thanks in advance.

@@coreycongilio From '61? Wow! I have stock pickups on my 2022 Casino. P-90T and P-90R, whatever that is! 😃 Hard to compare because of pedals, strings, setup etc. But yours sounds great and looks good too. I love my Casino! Great lesson, btw. Totally what I needed.
It’s the same course. However, we’re now finally able to offer it on WCG. If you’d like to have it added to your account, just shoot us an email and we’ll make it happen!
Free I didn’t see free tab and track ? It looks like a trap to bring us on your paid platform fair enough but after why that particular lessons os not free with tab and track like you mention in the video ?
Totally free Eric! Just drop your email in and sign up. The entire collection is free. The collection allows us to host all the lessons and free tracks/tabs so once you’re in you can go nuts and download anything from that group of videos.

Corey's right up there with the likes of Guthrie Trapp. Two of the best who have the grace to gift us with free guitar wisdom 🤘

Another Amazing lesson from a master blues teacher!
Well taught. Thank you very much, and I like the comment from the guy who extolled the virtues of the course: Thank you, too.

I’m loving this course, Corey. There are so many possibilities if we use our knowledge and vocabulary to create in new musical ways. Cheers!
Love it, Stosh!

Thx Aziz!

Grazie!
