Hey nick there's also a possibility that the dirt looking snow could actually be bacteria if its in gaps in the snow if i remember correctly, I've been binge watching your flights over the past week and i see you like geology geography and all that good stuff and like to learn, i can recommend a brilliant channel that educates in kind of a slight story form that's where i found about about the dirty snow. The channel is called history of the earth and the video that i heard it on is the snowball earth video, theres quite a lot of geology and biology in that one. Im must be one of the rare few who actually get smarter while sitting on xbox for endless hours lol
Yeah, it is a bit of shame that glaciers are so neglected, but I guess good datasets for them is a bit of an issue as they keep moving and for photogrametry white is not helping.
