- Midtown Comics has been having a bunch of sales lately with books up to 75% off, and I've been shopping them!
You've already seen the previous videos, but if you haven't you can watch these:
• Gambling on Bronze Age...
• Bronze Age Ghost Rider...
• 75% off Batman, Detect...
But for this video, I shopped the sale that went to support Cancer research that unfortunately coincided with New York Comic Con so it too a little while for me to get them.
This was an all-DC Comics purchase, and for the first time, the results were a little mixed in terms of the stated grade vs reality of the books.
Overall, I'd say it was another successful purchase for my needs/wants!

I can't tell who signed it either LOL! Great purchases on those books. I love the New 52 time frame of books, a lot of great stories. I also just got the "hush" run recently, but haven't read them yet.
I like the way you examine each book; will admit though, I don't (maybe I should). I know I got a recent book from MyComicsShop though, and it was so perfect that I cannot find anything wrong with it (of course it's a modern comic as well). I always look for the best prices as well, but I mostly have had a great experience with MCS since I started using them around 2008.
I did find out that it was indeed Peter David's sig by searching for one online and comparing them, so that's pretty cool.
I think the examining is something I do in case other newer collectors find my videos. So many times I see people looking over the front cover and that's it...especially when they try to figure out why a graded book got a certain grade. Plus no one else really show the audience everything so I figure it might help make me stand out a bit :)
