For those of you commenting on the crowds - to be honest, this isn't uncommon. Toska were the opening support act so most people weren't there to see them, so the fact there is a crowd at all is an immense achievement!
Coupled with the facts that most progmetal gigs are attended by musicians who prefer to watch intensely and absorb technique than mosh about, and that typically you see more dancing happening when there's more of a balance of male/female attendees, and it's not surprising most people are still. Unfortunately this is the case for most small/medium sized gigs. I try to get people going if I run into the crowd with a camera, but that in itself can be quite difficult!
We need to change this though. We need to get people moving again.
+Dan Davies To add to this..... quite a few people approached me afterwards to explain that they were quite lost in it, and focusing on exactly what we were doing, not really just rocking. They said they found the music really intense and so they were taking it all in.
But i also get the point, sometimes it's nice to provoke moshpits haha

Bea, would you be able to do a video on how you write instrumental music whilst still keeping it engaging? I understand you have experience writing for both vocals and without and I'm interested into how the absence of rob effects how you write songs. mainly how you can make a long instrumental song interesting without sounding disjointed and still having an audible flow
I don't get why everyone is mad at the crowds, when strangers watch my band as opposed to having a smoke or a drink at the bar, I'm immensely grateful.
Maybe if less people shit talk on the Internet and went out to see live bands they'd have nothing to shit talk about.

Before I saw Andrew towards the end, I was wondering if you guys ever hung out with Arcane Roots, or if you kinda kept to yourself the entire tour. Did you guys hang out and have some drinks after the shows or was it all business?
We hung out a fair bit man, I guess when we were we didn't really have the Camera on. Here such nice guys!
Plenty of hangs - but some guys don't like having cameras shoved in their faces all the time. I like to try to respect that :) They're all awesome though!

yup. vw wagon.Ben mentioned Volv at the beginning. Just picking I know they come with defrost-heater. The switch is right in front of them center console. Would suck if the heater core blew in that. But most likely coolant bottle is empty. Car is running so it wouldn't be the water pump. Those who work on cars would know what I mean.

Toska is prog music. A lot of prog fans don't mosh or go crazy because they observe the band and absorb everything they are doing from time signatures to riffs.

I m just so fed up with today's musical industry... you hav justin bieber playing stadiums and making millions when these extremely talented and skilled musicians who spend hours and hours of piecing toghether real music are struggling with fucking cardboards and ancient vans. noone listens to music anymore and noone appreciates skill it's all about the fucking trends. (and this comes from someone who is not a progressive or metal fan) .

Toska is the kind of music the three of us have aspired to play since we met 10 years ago, and we finally had the opportunity to do it from about 18 months ago. Drove is a spirit thing altogether. So although it may seem backwards or the other way round, the three of us (Toska) have been gigging and writing music together for about 10 years as opposed to the 3/4 years with Dorje

You guys seem alright but does your drummer liks, DYE his goatee? It looks awful. Those womens glasses don't help either... Good drummer though.
