We the fans keep paying the prices so they’re only going to increase from here really. Desirable figures and all that, leaves us worried on missing out.
The best thing to do is not buy it if you don't think the value isn't there. If you keep following the pricepoint, they will increase it until sales start to fall off.
The Star Destroyer is not $330. It's $160. Not sure why it said $330 on your page, maybe it was a glitch or a mistake they made, but they fixed the price.
Yeah if I knew back in March the extent these would go to with the figures and prices and actually turns out the stock is still around, I probably would have waited it out or skipped over.
A problem that I think more people than just me have is some of these sets come out for way too much money with only one or two things that normal Lego collectors want a minifigure there or a ship here but we don't want to justify spending that much money for something we don't truly fully want, I want the cal kestis, I don't want the $330 Star Destroyer, it just doesn't intrest me enough to justify that price. And scalpers are going to jack up that cal minifig price to the roof on bricklink im %100 sure of it. Lego has gone competitive it's no longer attainable for the casual enjoyer....
That’s my exact issue with the Star Destroyer. Granted I personally don’t actually own a ship of that design so this was actually really appealing to me, but the price is huge. Usually a ship to that scale (Ghost, Falcon, Gunship) sort of thing is around $280-300nzd max. $330 is a pretty big leap for me, but I adore the Respawn Jedi games and I’ve asked for a Cal figure for years. Each year LEGO feels more and more unreachable for the casual enjoyer. Something I don’t personally think creators talk about enough.
I know everyone's talking about the insane prices but there's a far smaller issue that's been bugging me for a while and I'm curious to see what people have to say about it. I really don't like the gray color for RotJ Luke's robes. This is not just an issue with LEGO mind you, lots of action figures, comics etc depict RotJ with gray robes and I can't see why. In the actual movie the robes are a bit lighter in tone than the black outfit underneath but they're still pretty much the same. I don't like how it looks and I don't think it's accurate to the movie either. Is it just me?
I think because of how other toylines portray the style, I've never noticed. Which is surprising to me because I'm usually a stickle for these sorts of details.
Australia and NZ prices are always absurd these days. I really want to know what about us makes LEGO add an extra $20-30 sometimes compared to the US price once converted
Not this set specifically at this point in time, but sets like the R2-D2 and I believe the upcoming Star Destroyer are more expensive in Australia and New Zealand currencies compared to the US price tag once converted. A handful of sets though are surprisingly cheaper in Australia and New Zealand, most recently the X-Men 97 Jet was cheaper by around $20-30 for us compared to the US prices for reasons I’m not sure on.
I'm not interested in any of the sets releasing exclusive minifigs or not. I didn't like Ahsoka so i just don't care about it and otherwise they are all WAY too expensive.
I wasn’t too hot on Ahsoka either personally so I’m not attached as much to this set, I do like the figures though so it’s a clearance purchase for me. Continuing to raise the prices though will probably lead me away back to other hobbies which is what happened when I was in high school.
These days you never ever buy Lego StarWars sets without at least 30% discount. And even then it’s a stupid price. I am 100% sure that Lego decides their price tags with that in mind. So the big losers here are the retailers. And the winner is…
It’s possible because I can’t count how many set’s I’ve seen people say they refuse to buy it at launch and instead wait for sale price, and that’s me entirely too. Last time I paid full price for a Star Wars set was years ago now.
@@RayLilySeries I admittedly bought the UCS Razor Crest from Lego directly only because you get all the extras with it and I had a bunch of VIP points (now Insiders) to spend along with it. But in the end, I actually regret it. Not for the Set, because it is absolutely phenomenal, but I could have saved a lot by waiting some more.
All these prices due figures are so damn expensive man wtf

Though… the buildable droids only has that forgettable Leia

NZ consumer, so the set isn’t $160 for me. It’s $330nzd.
Chopper looks really wonky because he's supposed to have three eyes. Not sure why they gave him just one.
I like the Ahsoka one. The 25th anniversary ones, I still think those are cash grab lol

Great video though!!!
I thought the star destroyer was $160
Yep it is 160 only the lego site

I'm not buying a single dang set of these day one! Way too much 💰!

My man is using shadows of evil music, thats so cool lmao
My PS4 theme for the longest time
Crazy prices also in Australia, will wait for a deep sale for the Sarlacc pit, $120 Australian dollars, no thank you,

@@RayLilySeries It makes me laugh when US based tubers ask when will Lego make the $1000 set, we are already there
@@RayLilySerieshuh? I mean the initial price of 80 usd is outrageous but 120 ad is exactly 80 usd. So what’s the issue here in terms of price changes?

That’s how they get you. I’ve bought directly from them recently using VIP points because I too want those sweet bonus items.
