Brett was already perfect pizz
I've always suspected Brett could legitimately sing.
Yeah, I got a hint after the amateur vs pro opera singer video :v
Let's ask him to sing😂
@@deymimor 😂😂😂
Me too, it seems he has a naturally pleasant voice at least from what I've heard when he's imitating classical pieces.
he has a pleasant tone even while speaking. i wonder how he would sound if hes actually trained
Side note: this singer was actually a really good teacher he had a great way of explaining things without using too many or too little words. He has a "gift" u could say for teaching .
and he had a really nice and kind vibe about him
And his room is pretty cool. O wonder about the story behind each object.
He was my senior in school!! He also plays the piano well and composes! Here is one of his performances with Sync 5.

Hippocrates is in my department at college, and last year he offered us a clinic on overtone singing on his own time for free. I'm sure he streamlined how to teach overtone singing there. Wish I had participated!
I came on to say this too. Such excellent teaching skills. Clear easy instructions and encouragement.

This feels like Brett’s revenge on Eddy because he doesn’t have perfect pitch.
Perfect pitch gang vs. overtone gang
Maybe Eddy's perfect pitch won't allow his vocal apparatus to produce more than one pitch at a time. Poor Eddy.
What's weird for me is the fact I kind of used to do this as a kid - as we all do, but I think looking back I may have got some overtones...HAHA revenge perfect pitch gang! 😂
Ravenclaw gang!
This conjured up an image of Brett and Eddy each wearing their respective gang’s t-shirt with an epic stare down.
Hahaha I thought the same exact thing.
it's a perfect combination: brett does the overtone singing and eddy uses his perfect pitch to tell him what notes the overtones are
this some haikyuu!! level duo
@@LoreCatan fr
I wonder how Eddy's perfect pitch feels about how different the tuning of the overtones are from equal temperament. Particularly the 7th, 11th, and 13th harmonics
Now we just need to layer this on top of Brett's lofi track and we have a ritual.
LOL
When the guy demonstrated overtone singing, he sounded like a didgeridoo.
that's because didgeridoos employ overtones an also drone a single note. So he's basically emulating the sound of a didgeridoo.

Alright, off to annoy neighbors and destroy my vocal cords.
same i just got it
Same, replying from a police office
I learned how to do the bass register (kuragaya) from a friend many years ago, it took me a couple weeks to learn. Because I was a smoker at the time, every time I'd catch on the first tone I'd cough for like two minutes. Eventually I got the overtones though, and then coughed for two minutes every time lol. My throat was conditioned after a few days though, it feels really cool to do. I could never figure out upper register though. Alas I lost the conditioning over time and now I can't do it without coughing 😂, I know the muscle movements mostly but would have to recondition my larynx. It was so cool to learn though, I never thought I'd be able to. I could only do vowel sounds, but was still cool. If I lived alone or somewhere without paper thin apartment walls I might start practicing again...

Maybe Brett doesn't know it or he's hiding it but you can hear his beautiful singing voice when he hums sometimes. (Maybe we could get some serious singing one day 👀)

Anyone else get transported into some mystical dimension when he went erwuoooweuouweoruuuu
His perfect pitch cant handle more than one noise at the same time
To give some context, when you sing overtone, you should be able to hear the second note above the sung note, for example, if you sing C4, the overtone is G4 or C5, so, it's the technique to sing two notes at the same time. It's caused by.. Physics.
Notice how when he sang amazing grace, there's this airy note above the actual sound.

Right now I'm literally coding for a program that analyzes a wave, and Eddy's voice looks like the wave.
It helps to do the exercises for opening the throat even while not singing. Practice making different shapes and tones with your mouth/throat just by humming first, you can actually start to feel your soft palate opening (at first, it feels like an unusual vibrating of the throat, it almost tickles lol). If you can do that while humming it will greatly help to improve technique/tone/range with way less strain on your vocal chords💜 (not necessarily YOU, as in creators of the video.
