When I first learned that Tom Cruise was going to be playing the 6'5 hero Jack Reacher I was disappointed. That being said, After I saw the movie I enjoyed it and have to admit that Tom Cruise did a great job.
Great movie.
Aged way better than Pitt.
I think he's embodies the character very well, with his directness, aggression side features such as coffee and fry ups in cafes, plus he muscle. The only downside, he has a busy schedule and a sequel is not soon coming. Btw this is to everyone, what book do you think should be the sequel, I think Personal would have been good.

Man I loved this first Jack Reacher film, so what if cruise is not over 6 feet or buff as hell, hes still always been believable to me in this role and did an awesome job!
This interview meant so much to me! When Tom said , " I don't get that day back!" Wow! I mean realize this and let it sink in, make eveeyday count, because you simply don't get the day back. When there are times , the day brings an illness, make it worth the time while it is still day! Thanks Tom for this amazing example.
Few things.
Didnt know about the books before the film so physicly when I now read it I imagine Tom wich I dont mind... thats how my brain works I dont imagine anyone else.
That being said I loved both movies, though I dont personally favourise Tom, kind of because he seems a bit full of himself and I might be wrong Im just saying my thoughts here.
That being said I'm now reading 6 books I got and OmG theyre so good.
I also head theyre making a non Tom Cruise tvshow. Wonder how that would turn out. They said that about another writer and charachtee I like and I havent seen it happen so....(okay I will tell you it is Daniel Silvas Gabriel Allon thats also full on action)

I agree with you, except that I don't think that Tom Cruise is full of himself. He's just that good - in my mind. I also could not care less of what Tom's height is. I know what the author of the Reacher books supposedly said (to Vanity Fair I think) but who cares. Tom is impressive; he does not need the body height, is my take.
If I ever meet Tom cruise I will ask him for a hug for all the childhood memories he has given me
Jack Reacher was a great movie, smart, sharp, mystery,thriller, action and surprised how funny it was! Makes you think, you can enjoy it! Tom Cruise is Jack Reacher, great starting point for franchise, you know Cruise will keep making this next Jack Reacher bigger and better, because he wants to make great, entertaining popcorn movie's! Must see!
Tom Cruise is a badass actor. He works so hard to make sure his acting is great and you know what? He rocks!!! Go Tom !!!

Wolverine is 5'3, and nobody complains that Hugh Jackman is playing him, because Hugh Jackman played the role perfectly. That's what matters.

Tom cruise just pulls off the reacher's role just with acting with his eyes, i hate some readers who are whining that they cant find reacher in tom's height and bulk, but instead they should look into tom's eyes .

TC. der Jack Reacher ist ja wie für dich auf den Leib geschneidert. Cool und lässig und bekämpft das Böse, viele Fans werden den Film lieben. TC. sieht wieder so gut aus, man hätte gedacht das Er ein wenig ko. ist nach dem Scheidungsjahr, es sieht gar nicht danach aus. Versuch familiär auch alles in den grünen Bereich zu bekommen
