EA: Add round walls
Also EA: Forget to make things work with round walls.
Classic EA
EA is King of Half Baked Ideas
EA just culled my Sims relationship with her BF. So honestly, not surprised everything has been being released buggy lately 😡 I highly doubt the curved walls thing will ever get fixed 😤
I mean she couldve made the house a little bit bigger. of course things are going to glitch when they are overlapping, they do that in normal size builds too
On brand honestly.
Spiral staircases could have been very useful here.
Beat me to it lol
Totally agree 👍
And of course, still no spiral staircase 😂
Says every sim builder in 80% of their projects
Could be EA team’s next project? Well, at least I hope so!!!
It’s so annoying that we can’t put ladders in small circle rooms. Like.. towers are one of the biggest reason you’d use the round rooms but we can’t use them 😭😭😭
so i actually discovered that you can use ladders in small circles if you do not start/end the ladder in the circle. i was able to do a mushroom house by using a square basement and then i took off the circle room floor so the ladder would start underground and go all the way through four levels and end up in the upper floor only (which was bigger and could have the ladder). kinda confusing lol sorry
@@joaovanin_ dude I’m gonna try this out tysm
EA really said sike there
@@joaovanin_ thank you I would like to build a Rapunzel in New York when I get more stuff packs
your name is how I feel about that
Simsie: "I'm trying to think of what to pit in this corner"
Me: A BIN, SIMSIE.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH
lol
Lol me too!
Same!😂
Sameeeeeeee
I feel so bad for the people doing her next shell challenge, cause we all know she’s going to use them 😭
It isss lolll
Confirmed 😅
@MrВeast mrbeast??
I honestly wait for that
Poor us 😭😂
An idea for a challenge: House thats the shape of a cake, so you have 3 circles that are stacked on top of each other (small at the top, then medium, then large)
Cool idea but the stair/ladder problem may be difficult
omg this is such a cute idea!!! I'm gonna try it hehe
@@hattiedarcyandnoahosborn1243 I think as long as the circle is big enough, you could put the ladders/stairs more in the middle & it'd work; just doesn't work along the curved sides. it adds to the challenge of making it look good lol
great minds think alike, i tried this the other day :)
I’m definitely down to try this lol
As soon as she put the roof on I thought “it’s a mushroom house!” and I think that would be an adorable way to spin it
that's what i was thinking too!!
I want a whole neighborhood of tiny mushrooms now. 🍄
I’m doing that omg, maybe multiple on one lot to act as different rooms 😱😱
I'd like to see several small circle rooms connected by hallways. Put it in the desert region and call it a space colony house. There's gotta be at least some Sim players who would love to play in a space colony house.
That’s a very cool idea 👍👍
You can’t connect the small rooms though. There will be a gap between the round wall and the regular wall. And I don’t think you want gaps in your walls in a space colony.
Omg I'm totally going to build this...it'll be like a training colony with a botany/gardening room, and a lab and idk whatu else ATM but I'll figure it out
It would be cool to put that in Strangerville. With the whole space theme there
That + the greenhouse roofs would be super cool!
I literally tried building a Tangled inspired tower and a lighthouse over the last week and I got utterly frustrated. I'm still working on both of them but all the glitches and restrictions take away the fun. I knew that the rounded walls would not work perfectly but they are unbelievably painful to work with!!
omg same i tried building a lighthouse and i attempted to put fencing on the top and i just gave up 🫠
I built the tangled tower and, my gosh! It was irritating
@@megami8996did you try using the rounded fences?
These circle walls are so problematic but i can’t help but love them
If nothing else, they are making for great content - hehehe
Same lmao 😂
they're so hard to use but man they can look so good😭
It sounds like you're on about a celebrity 💀
I’m not surprised, a curve on a grid system is basically asking someone to make a perfect circle in Minecraft without command blocks or mods
If you turn off autocounters, there are several round island pieces that might work. There are also counter end pieces that can fit in a smaller space. I can't remember if the end counters are big enough for a sim to use. Anyone know?
I think end counters are usable? I’m pretty sure I’ve watched Sims use them, but I’m not positive.
i might be wrong, but i believe sims can eat at end counters but they can't cook on them
@@xandermin they can cook, I use it in my game a lot
They can cook. Even if she rotated them the way she needs for a round house they can’t eat on them anymore, just cook. I was disappointed that she did not use these ones
I love how Simsie decided to not only challenge herself by making a circular house, but also by making the smallest possible circular house, as opposed to just a circular house. Like I feel this would have been way easier if she went up even two squares in size haha
it's causing me pain every time she's like "hmmmm this doesn't fit" and up top is "oh you are using 14 out of 32 tiles"
This though. The whole build I'm screaming pleeeeease just make the circle a little bigger.
I'm surprised, I didn't think she could make it
I was just internally screaming when there was that tiny little nook in the kitchen and she didn't put the trash can there
Or use the mini fridge!!!
@@sarahbornhorst7072 yeah that as well ;-;
@@sarahbornhorst7072 or the mini oven 😭
Petition for a mushroom house hidden between giant flowers. Make a house for the gnomes!
Me being upset that kayla didnt use a mini fridge and tiny oven from dream home decorator
Yeah that’s what I would have done
me screaming for a loft bed
I know, right?
The oven in dream home decorator isn’t any smaller though? It actually takes up more space because you have to place the oven and stove separately.
@@rachelcookie321 I think they were saying the toaster oven. Cause I thought this too.
You know what curved walls mean? It's time to make a hot dog shaped house for stanley
You're so right
Simsieeee please do the “every room is a different room” challenge!!!
The rules are:
-Build the shell of a house and the floor plan
-Choose which rooms you want to be the kitchen, living room, bathroom, etc.
-pick a room, then randomize which room you have to make it
(Example: you might end up with a bathroom the size of a kitchen😅😅)
ITS SO MUCH FUN AND SO CHAOTIC
If she does this she’s going to lose her mind 😂
Omg pls do this
At first I was like "is this a joke" but this idea is actually legit
And a living room the size of a small bathroom. Yes !
YES!
As much as we all want true spiral stairs, that might be a big ask. BUT what I would really love to see and hope would be a little less of an ask would be fixed curve stairs. Like the fixed C-shaped curve would fit exactly into the different size curved rooms (maybe into half-circle if you put two together) and the height would adjust to the wall height. It would be enough that we could use stairs in curved spaces and give us the look of a curved stair.
What’s wrong with the stairs? They are annoying to use but you can still get them into the right shape
@@rachelcookie321 in a circle as small as this one, no you can’t - both the top & bottom have to fit into the “central” square of the circle - the curved part that she filed in with tile in this build (and explained that you can’t change individual tiles of) is ineligible for stair placement. If you have other parts of your build that are not curved or if you have a big enough circle, yes you can use existing stairs, but for something like a round tower it doesn’t work. I actually really like the configurable stairs we have in Sims 4 - but they aren’t a full stair solution for curved rooms.
@@skyechimes658 well stairs wouldn’t work for this anyway. It’s too small. They wouldn’t be able to make it work unless they added just that spiral stairs item they had in the old games.
@@rachelcookie321 What is the problem with adding the spiral stairs item?
Also having ladders snap to curved walls
am i the only one who thinks it's funny that lilsimsie used rapunzel as an example for the tower? like that's one of the few cases where you actually don't need stairs in it 😂
Rapunzel still climbs up the stairs to get to her room though
@@xiaozhansbi Depends on the version, sometimes it's just a room and nothing else
@@yawninglion1677 No, yeah. I was referring to the Disney version.
@@xiaozhansbi In that case yeah you're right lol
I suppose if it existed spiral stairs could have helped so much than any stairs existing XD
me screaming the entire time that if kayla used the separated stovetop from dream home decorator she wouldn't have had to use an oven 😭
And a microwave on top of a mini fridge lol
Me screaming that she coulda scooted the bed as close as she could against the curve so it would open up more space 😭
@@amandanicoleugc she did that though?
@@sora-ze8jm I meant like horizontally lmao u know what I mean? I couldn’t figure out how to word it 😂
Yeah 😭 I'm really excited to my vacation so I can play with the round walls
It is a mystery to me how Simsie has build like 100 trillion houses and still forgets about trash cans outside. All. The. Time. 😅🤷🏻♀️
Loving the absolute refusal to use a minifridge 😆
Also, this has made me want to build a round mini home and make it look like a toadstool. New fairy house!
Kayla's struggle with furniture reminds me of my mom's aunt who lived in a circular tower of a beer brewery. They had to have all of their furniture custom-made to match the curve of the wall and everything was rounded. I wonder if CC creators could do the same thing here and create rounded furniture
We should be able to have curved cabinets. I wanna build the lovegood’s house!
Lol I just imagine a sim having a welcome wagon come in and they invite them into the tiny lil circle house and everybody is just in each other's faces 🤣
OOOHOHOHO I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO
Curved Walls are just Diagonal Walls with extra steps
I was screaming “make the roof look like a mushroom 🍄 “ 😂😂
Am I the only one who thinks that round walls are a blessing and a curse? Like, it's almost impossible to decorate them well, most of the prettiest windows and doors can't be placed on them/look weird, but even with all of those issues I still love them bc they look sooo pretty + I've been wanting to have rounded walls in the game ever since the beginning
I think they intend to use the curve wall as "decoration" in big houses. So your kitches or bathrom arent suppsed to be round.
10:05 - I remember moving into a local council house, Where they removed an old pantry cupboard that had a hole in the wall and replaced the hole with a window, I say this, because it was a council house, and as one would expect the window was "fitted" Diagonally. where one could literally reach through a gap in the "fitted" window to the outside of the house.
This curved window has a similar issue

16 minutes in, "i still haven't painted the outside." yeah, i think some siding or paint might help it not look so silly! but it's cute! I'd have used a bunkbed with couch or desk underneath.
I'm down for a circle shell. Maybe like a cloud shell? Make it weird
I wish they add the university shower to the basegame 😔
me the whole time with the kitchen: USE A MINI FRIDGE!
2 mins of "circles are useless!!"
Me *nodding in agreement*
Also me : So, like, if you want a realistic silo on your farm, one w a ladder on the outside leading up, you can't.
Yeah.
Still had to build a new farm w a ROUND silo anyway.
I mean, I probably wouldn’t notice if it was missing a ladder. Like it makes sense for it to have a ladder but I never even thought about a silo needing a ladder before.
You could have it as pod housing. Where you have multiple little circle houses around a central area on the lot, each being a different room. One a bedroom, one a kitchen, one a bathroom etc. Idk, just an idea
Like the luxury treehouses in Center Parks!
James built multiple round shapes to make a house and he was able to connect them with archways! You need to put two arches, one on each side, and it worked. Sims walked through it no problem.
Question. Has anyone tried using the curved island counters? I'm gonna try after work but I haven't really seen anyone giving it a go.
You should have merch where it says "When in doubt, cover your misstakes in trees"
I feel like they should release spiral stairs, like that would look so nice for the circle houses and even in the standard houses!
The best bit of my day is sitting down and watching Lilsimsie’s newest video
Anyone else agree?
Yes me
@MrВeast ?????????
You can use the Dream Home Decorator stovetop and oven that slot into the counter and it still functions as a counter and you don't have to use two tiles for them.
Title of house: Circle.
Description of house: This house is a circle.
Kayla, you have a way with words.
I've been having the most issues with the curved walls, maybe this'll help
It’s probably just another glitch that wasn’t discovered.
I personally haven’t been having any problems with them. I made a yurt and it turned out great. My only complaint is you can only use doors that they have converted to work with round walls. Some doors look fine on the round walls but because they’re technically not for round walls, they don’t work! Oh also, if you place columns you can’t place them on just one side of the wall like usual, they are visible on every side of the wall.
@MrВeast why is mr beast here
I found a way to make a doughnut and a s shaped rooms however I wish that there were bigger curved rooms or stairs that can snap to the curve
I actually dig it. I like to build quirky small or tiny homes for my Sims...
“this is absolutely disgusting, i hate it” my favorite line from this whole video 😂🤣
I wanted to build an Art Deco house for the Art Deco buy items, and that style of architecture always has lots of like rounded shapes. The rounded rooms would’ve been PERFECT for those types of builds, if only they actually functioned 😭
Honestly, I kind of want to put one of those fake houses next to it and say that my sim is renting someone's tool shed
That’s a weird tool shed.
Reminds me of a Yurt, which could be fun to build for a vacation or tropical lot. I think this turned out super cute and I love it !
I actually love looking forward to your videos. Your reactions are just priceless when sims do their own thing
I just know they’ll release curved furniture as a kit…
The curved walls are gonna be wild for shell challenges
the rounded counter end pieces would ve been perfect for the kitchen, im pretty sure you can use the back of it as well, so the rounded part is on the round wall? hard to describe
i love all her challenges that she did, i started watching lilsimsie with my mom and its so fun to see all new videos and it helps me understand the sims better (bc i play it) :)
bruh the hanging plant literally falling onto the stove would make me so nervous.
Me, a millennial: *watches lilsimsie build houses and gains architecture skill*
You did such a great job with this!!! I haven’t even used the update yet!Amazing inspiration🤩
Do it Simsie! I love the combo of the circle flowers with the circle house. You made it look actually cute!
im gonna say it, tiny starter home for 8 sims using only circle walls...
It's not like this game have 8 years and could be million times better with the money they have 🙄
Definitely do a circle shell challenge. Also I love this because I was looking for a way to have my sims that love the outdoors live mostly outside. Love the build!
This house makes me think of my next door neighbor apartment. The apartment left her with no oven for 2 years, when they got her one it was too small for the kitchen. So they put window blinds between the oven and the counter to make it look 'normal'
Spiral staircases.....curved counters....curved furniture......so much needs to be added and done!! 🙄
Those are big demands and requests from a design, coding, etc standpoint 😅 I’m no… expert or anything nor do I know anything of this topic. Just. Seeing how it’s been discussed in the past that’s. A huge… huge…. Goal…
@@Winter0721 The only reason that seems like such a big goal is because EA has conditioned you to expect the least amount possible so they can continue to put little effort into their products and sell them like hotcakes
I don’t expect them to ever do that. That would be tons of work for items that basically only work with round walls. And in a couple months and hype dies down, people are barely going to be using the round walls.
Build a Town of Entirely Randomly Generated Asthetics
"Wanted to cry but didn't" is excellent adulting! Great job! In related news, I did your shell challenge. It was... an experience.
this is sooo cute!! you could put a bunch of cute plants on top of the flat roof too;I feel like that'd add even more substance!
James did an amazing job building a circle house. This one is an utter disaster 🤣🤣
His was also much larger😂
Actually, this house isn´t that bad. It gave me an idea for a lot : a lot with several round houses so difficult to live in but created for poor sims
So here for this type of content!!!Keep going Lilsimsie!!!
Simsie: Im dreading having to put this on the gallery
Also simsie: Posts it on utube for everyone to see
imagine if we could paint floors and walls as we can paint terrain ...
I wish we could place the wallpaper on like the different heights of the half walls. Like so you could have the bottom half with one wallpaper and the top half with another. It would be useful for like doing a backsplash for your kitchen so the tile only covers behind your stove and not the whole wall above the wall cabinets too or it could just be cool to make different fun wall designs.
man these circle walls were the least exciting thing about the update for me
In a month once the hype has died down people will be barely using them. We’ll probably only see a very few builds with curved walls after this.
I've been binging your videos and watch them as soon as you post them. Im a simsie addict ❤️😅
When the update come out, lighthouse was the first i build and ladder works. I really enjoy building it. It was fun-its in Gallery btw😊-thanks for video always enjoy your content❤️
Anyone else hate curved walls…? I think they are a waste of time considering how useless and glitchy they are.
this is awesome! it was so fun to watch you pull this off
A birthday cake build would be cool! Like a tiered one, and since you could have the ladder leading to the roof for each level, you could totally have them out of the way if you want. Or you could deliberately put them through the middle of the “cake” and build the whole thing around it, or if there’s a spiral staircase, you could do that in the center and build around it. Also, can you make a donut shaped house? Like, where you have two curved walls?
My Grandfather made a round log cabin in BC, Canada. The logs were upright. The roof was a cone, made by layering thin plywood upon rafters then adding regular shingles on top of them. It had a huge offset central fire place. 3 narrow bedrooms in the back and the front open area was kitchen, dining room, and lounge. It was built in a very remote area without electricity. It's still in the family.
a small and cute shelf, drawers, bedside table and even a dresser (in terms of looks) is this one nightstand in dream home decorator. it's a square with draws on one side. it works in bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, etc. basically any room.
omgg when you were doing the landscaping I said in my head that the build would look so cute in pink and you actually did it))) I downloaded this from the gallery and now my sim lively happily in her circle!!
Love this Video, thanks for posting every day!
Thanks so much for the captions! It makes such a difference.
i could say you are always creative. your content always got me interested
I absolutely love this build, is that weird? 😂 it’s really charming imo
Also when the roof was placed, all I could think about is animal crossing and now I want to see recreated villager homes in the sims
I am ridiculously excited to boot up my sims now just so I can play with this circle house! thank you for adding it to the gallery!
Omg this is so super cute!! 💖💖💖So inspiring!✨✨✨
Tip: If you want to put shelves somewhere, but you can't because there is no wall, then you can place a wall in the area you want, place the shelf and delete the wall. The shelf will stay but the wall will be gone.
Sometimes this won't work because the grid won't allow you to place the wall where you want it. If that happens you just have to move the wall.
What a great, challenging build! Amazing job!
It makes total sense to me that Stanley lives in a round house. It’s just so him 😆
Ngl I actually love this house. I think it’s really cute and homey and I think I would play with a sim here
legit might download this for a playthrough because its hilarious
brown round house ! when i was growing up , at the park across the street from our house there was a park with a huge round building , it was an after school program , they did activities , snacks, naps etc , essentially they were a free babysitter for the neighborhood . had the best time in that big round building . thanks for this video , brought back memories for me
Love this!! I made a super cute cob roundhouse with the mid-size walls - it never would have occurred to me to try to put a whole house in the smallest size!
The open concept bathroom was really giving me ~throwback vibes~ to inpatient psych units
Lived in a Yurt while I was moving states with family and it was a complete circle like that with two bunk beds, a small kitchen and a dining/living room space and we had to use an outhouse for going to the bathroom. My mom was so miserable and got to the point where she just broke down and cried because she was so cold and miserable so even though I was excited to basically be camping, we moved into a legit apartment with lousy neighbors and I was the miserable one.
this is honestly the most impressive build you've done thus far!
I'm glad you make yourself suffer with the circles so I don't have to ^^ But the house turned out quite cute actually! Good job :D
Legit this is the house I have been wanting from the bottom of my heart since curved walls were introduced. Thank you so much for building this!
