As far as I know, you probably deserve a noble peace prize for your amazing work in permaculture.

Interesting idea. If there was high nutrient, inexpensive food everywhere, it would probably reduce tensions everywhere!

The smalls ponds are really interesting. I've been thinking of adding a small pond in my small permaculture/food forest. I also have sandy soil, but I am planning on using a liner. I'm a huge fan. I decided on turning my 1/3 acre yard, years ago after watching an online course Geoff posted online. There quite a few videos. I watched them all in a row and did not sleep for the 3 days it took me. I'm strange don't need much sleep, only took breaks to eat. Still continue with the improvements although I am now 75, a little old lady that can still do it! LOL

After digging numerous swales and planting out my own food forest (by hand), only to have it burn to the ground along with my house in Nov 19, I am now digging and planting all over again, using all that I have learned from both Bill Mollison and yourself. I find so much inspiration seeing how you have developed your piece of paradise ~ often you remind me of things I have forgotten to remember: ideas I have had, plans I've made. I am so grateful for the information that you share, and for your presence on the planet ~ Sending a huge Thank You!

Absolutely love youre acheivments, is the idea of share holders,to make sure farm lasts in perpituity,or to get like minded community,to carry on work.
In the light of this Global Warming sudden realization, although you and Bill Mollison, etc have been trying to educated Goverments all over the world, has any Country asked you to make massive plan, for them to become regenerative, build water structures food forests etc.
No matter they pulled funding, the Greening the desert project is a phenominal scucess, that the fund providers can not deny.
I wish every Country appointed a Geoff Lawton full time to rectify as much as possible in a lifetime, with unlimited budget, then we would actually see change.
It seems Goverments are more intrested in promoting conflicte all over the world instead.

Absolutely stunning! Love the shareholder idea so there is a clear path of legacy and care for Zaytuna. You and the team are making such an important impact on people's lives all over the globe showing a glimpse of what is possible. Telling us how to seal a dam in original sandy soil was great. Love the Morton Bay Fig tree. I view them as communication power nodes. If one is feeling disconnected just sitting on their roots trends to sort life out in a powerful gentle way.

I use them to create tiers on the slope of the property. Zaytuna farm is so beautiful... love to you and yours and many thanks !!!

G'Day Geoff... wonderful journey. I have followed the work you started in Palestine and look back at what Bill Molison had taught. Wonderful examples of what can (and must) be done. Seems you are on the Northern Rivers... I came from Bellingen and uncles farmed the Kalang River flats up Thora way and another up in Dorrigo. Fond memories! I guess you are neighbors with David Troon (Weedy); Daley's Nursery (Pauline. Erin, Caleb and Team) and also Cedar Anderson and his Dad... I hope to be back in November and visit friends in Lennox Head... hope to do the circuit and visit all... have some bush tea with you all. Looking forward to seeing the growth... Cheers, John (misplaced Aussie in SoCal)
