I’m a 62 year old married man with adult children and I am crying my eyes out right now because like I said, I didn’t know I needed to hear this song. Why am i in tears for someone that i just saw online? I didn't know who she was because i do not watch the show. And i heard about her in the news. I then looked for this audition. I guess, because I saw that in her performance of the song and her answers to the questions before singing, she showed how she battled but was able to accept that things happen in our life and that no one should complain about negative things. Not a gift. Knowing how Simon is, she earned it. Simon has a heart but he’s not a charity. He knew there was something special in her and impressed even more of her overcoming emotions and cancer to earn it. Hope she lives as long of a life as possible! 🙏🏻

Nightbird most definitely stirred my soul with her grace, elegance, confidence, and infectious smile. Just living as a positive human being despite her serious ailments she unquestionably deserved the golden buzzer. Undoubtedly she was a cut above all of the rest. Most of us take our long days for granted. Her days were lessened to a lower number, but she selflessly offered her remaining days to total strangers smiling happily. We all could learn from her valuable example. All of us should be grateful and cherish our lives and each other. Because too many of us are just living to survive instead of surviving to live... She suffered from Cancer. I felt really sad for her even though she had a wonderful spirit. I had cancer the past year and by the grace of God I was healed a few months ago. It's a horrible feelingg not knowing if you're going to live or die. Thank God my prayers were answered! Rest in peace Nightbird...You're a lovely & courageous Angel!

I will miss night bird so much. Her song helped me through my depression. I listened to it every day it comforted me in ways no one else could. She will be greatly missed.

I love that first quote. It's so important. I feel like a huge burden on people who experience tragedies like cancer is the fact that it becomes such a huge part of their very identity, and it doesn't need to be that way.
One thing I’ve notice about people who are actively dying, whether they know it or not, they all share this magical angelic smile about them that makes their face glow in this golden hue, (I notice this with my own mother when she was fighting brain cancer, and with my sister last year, the Sunday before her sudden passing from brain haemorrhage.). Once you see it, it somehow registers in your memory, even though at the time you didn’t know what was coming. Nightbirde has the most remarkable vocal, very different and mellowing, no doubt she’s jamming with the angels. May God grant her eternal peace and happiness, and what a privilege it was to watch this video.

I’m a 62 year old married man with adult children and I am crying my eyes out right now because like I said, I didn’t know I needed to hear this song. Why am i in tears for someone that i just saw online? I didn't know who she was because i do not watch the show. And i heard about her in the news. I then looked for this audition. I guess, because I saw that in her performance of the song and her answers to the questions before singing, she showed how she battled but was able to accept that things happen in our life and that no one should complain about negative things. Her voice is so angelic, and what a pure soul. RIP she was extremely talented.
One thing I’ve notice about people who are actively dying, whether they know it or not, they all share this magical angelic smile about them that makes their face glow in this golden hue, (I notice this with my own mother when she was fighting brain cancer, and with my sister last year, the Sunday before her sudden passing from brain haemorrhage.). Once you see it, it somehow registers in your memory, even though at the time you didn’t know what was coming. Nightbirde has the most remarkable vocal, very different and mellowing, no doubt she’s jamming with the angels. May God grant her eternal peace and happiness, and what a privilege it was to watch this video.
I followed her since this audition...and when she pulled out to go and fight cancer! My heart is heavy learning that she passed. It's okay nightbirdie...sing with the angels now! "It's okay"
Watched Nightbirde for the umpteenth time ..And every time brought tears to my eyes..Why do we lose such Angels so early is a question that comes to my mind..What a lovely voice..smile and attitude..Rarely do we see such an amalgamation in one person..Nightbirde you are one of a kind...And to top it all with all the problems..You have such a lot of courage ..and your infectious smile hides it all..You have thankfully left us with this awe inspiring song..IT'OK..A song we will sing when life is tough..The Angels are richer with your presence..😢

RIP Nightbird…she had such an angelic voice. I loved it and her so much. She was so brave and was such a positive light that we’ve needed as of recently. I also loved how quiet and respectful the audience was while she sang.
I lost suddenly and unexpectedly my husband exactly 1 week ago today. Watching this gave me a glimmer of hope, that it will be OK, and I'll get through this! Thanks for posting this up here!

I watched her performance last year and it put tears in my eyes because of Her lyrics, coupled with her beautiful angelical voice. She is now one more of the many Angels with God, RIP Nightbirde and I'll say a prayer for you tonight at bedtime ❤
