Thanks for sharing more of your daily life! I particularly enjoy seeing what kinds of snacks you like and how the fridge and pantry are organized. Also I love that you showed and explained your reasons for donating particular movies to the library sale, it’s such a great way to pay it forward!
Thanks so much, I really appreciate the comment and kind words. Will definitely be doing more of these vlog style videos. Hope you have a great weekend.
I enjoyed this more personal vlog style video that’s not just about movies. You live in a beautiful area that looks really relaxing, perfect for getting over a trip to the optometrist. That and I’m sure the pie and ice cream helped 😀. We also upgraded to the Blu-ray ’Three Days of the Condor’, what an incredible film and a nice package by Eureka Entertainment. I’ll try and catch your next live stream this week. Best wishes to you both.
Hello and thank you so much for the comment and kind words. My wife and I have lived in big cities but we love our more peaceful life here now. Best wishes to you too!
I actually spent 6 nights on my holiday last week watching 10 of Aki's films and this month in general I've been watching all of his films on the Artifical Eye blu-ray set. I have 1 left to watch and 3 left that aren't in the box set, including Fallen Leaves. I will have videos going up about them but in short I've absolutely loved watching all of them. Some favourites: La Vie de Bohème, Drifting Clouds, Shadows in Paradise.. but really I love almost all of them. A great filmmaker and I get a lot of comfort out of his films, some of it being the familiarity of the Finnish setting which reminds me a lot of the architecture and feel of Norway, which is like a second home to me. Loved the video!
Wow, thanks so much for commenting. I'm definitely obsessed with Aki's films these days and love everything I've seen so far. Just watched Shadows in Paradise and loved it. Fallen Leaves is a new favorite. I love the Finnish setting as you mentioned as well as the poetic dialogue, subtle humor, deadpan expressions, overall life view, the music, so many aspects. The films bring me a tremendous amount of comfort also. I love when I find a new set of films that reinvigorates my eternal love of film and all the it has to offer. Aki is a genius in my humble opinion. Love your channel (you were one of the first movie channels I watched on UA-cam years ago). Hope you have a great weekend.
Kaurismäki has also been compared to Jim Jarmusch, he’s even been called ”the American Kaurismäki”. Fun fact: Fallen Leaves is Kaurismäki’s most commercially successful film in his home country. Not all have been, but this one was really beloved by audiences. I guess The Man Without Past is second. Greetings from Finland! 🇫🇮
Are you in Pennsylvania by any chance? I am in the Lehigh Valley. I can see we are both Wegmans fans. Excellent choices of snacks!! Also enjoy following you on Letterboxd. This vlog style is a good idea. Brings some human interest to the movie stuff.

Thanks so much for your comment and encouragement. I appreciate it.
@@CinemaDaveMedia No thank you. I’m in a diner enjoying my coffee with Dave . I’m always happy when you put out a new video

Pure Leaf Tea is good stuff! I also love me some key lime pie! Aki Kaurismaki is great too :)
Sweet, I'm looking forward to more vlogs if you decide to do more.
Thanks.

Hello and thanks so much for your comment. I’m really enjoying watching and studying his films. I’m a big fan of Jim Jarmusch also.
Good on you for being able to donate films. I don’t have the heart to do it.😅
Thanks, I try to donate a few for every library book sale.
