It was the realization of hope, the unfolding of egalitarian democracy, the fulfillment of the legacy of our revolutionary forebears. Only 5 months later, he was gone...Ireland at that time was still in the middle ages thanks to Dev' ...what it must have been like to have this Hollywood movie star like president visit us ..my father always remembers as a newly wed at the time in Dublin when JFK's motorcade drove down O'Connell street...his blue suit and his tan ..Jack we miss you and your plans for the future
JFK was proud of his Irish Heritage a man of the people, well loved and may his tragic passing not let what he wanted to achieve be forgotten, everybody and I mean everybody remembers where they were when they heard the bad news.
