I had a problem with PAI version 3.01. Sometimes it would take a long time to send the image back to LRC, or it might just get stuck and I’d have to force quit PAI. I went back to version 3.0 and everything worked perfectly. I’m using a MacBook Pro M1 Pro. Have any others had that issue?
I would love to buy your course but I have a question for you first I don't use Lightroom and I don't use photo shop right right now I have De noise AI. So I will be getting Topaz AI so my question to you is, I'll be using it as a standalone I do use canon's dpp4 and I also use Photo Works and so far I've not had a problem with the noise program so you tell me what you think would your videos still help me ??
If starting in Lightroom rather than camera raw and then edit in Photoshop as a tiff and then following this demonstrated workflow does it make a difference?
Hi Anthony, Other than in the Photo AI versions I can not manage to export DNG files back into LrC … it only works directly out of Photo AI but not via the Photo AI plugin ? is there any option to export in DNG rather than as a tiff … I use an Apple Studio … thanks for your timely feedback
Hi Anthony, in the meantime I have found the answer in your other video … thanks anyway with best greetings from Austria … I really enjoy your videos, thus thanks again for what you do
That seems like a lot better workflow than using PhotoAI with Lightroom. Especially being able to re-process with PhotoAI. I am wondering if that white pane is a mask I could paint on, making it easy to blend parts of the original image with the Topaz image, or if I would need to create a separate mask. I could see this being handy to fix or reduce artifacts created with PhotoAI (assuming there was no scaling involved and the geometry of the RAW converter was consistent). However, I use Lightroom for my organization, which would probably make the overall workflow a bit more cumbersome.
Great information! I have a question - why does Photo AI increase the size of the image so much when I use it in Lightroom from "File" then "Plug-in Extras"? Sometimes the image is three times bigger, without me resizing, just denoising and sharpening.
Another benefit of using a duplicated or stamped layer to PAI is that you can then use opacity and/or a layer mask to target the denoise/sharpening effect.
I create a copy of my original image and send to Photo AI (not smart layer). Photo AI then returns a new layer with the change. I'm using a Mac. Anyone else have this same experience?
Question: When you have that new layer generated after using PAI, have you used the Filter menu to access PAI or File > Automate? The behaviors can be different. At least on a PC.
@@FotomakerAcademy Thanks. I use the File Automate so that I can upscale in PAI which isn't available through the filter. Do you know why the program behaves differently via filter or automate?

I had the same problem thought going back to 3.0 was that difficult
Sadly, I can't get PAI to work as a Ps plugin on my Win 11 Pro PC... It doesn't send back a processed image. It sends patterned gibberish.

I will be very interested in your Topaz course. I hope in that course you'll cover the correct way to transfer from Lightroom to Topaz.

Can Topaz Photo AI be used as a plugin for Photoshop Elements 2024 Mac?

@@ktjankabar No, I don't. But neither works for me as a Ps plugin in rel. 3.0.1 on my Win 11 PC...but how they attempt to work is different, oddly.
