  • Trying out the Grizzly 700 with 27" Zillas in some pretty deep snow. They did quite good too! Impressive what they can go through, although I think they may have been near their limit!
    Be sure to watch right until the end.

    I realize, watching videos from older to more recent, that this is the one that made me discover your channel ! Nice to see the evolution of the gear, all the ATVs and sleds :) an epic decade ! Damn beavers ! :D

    I always woundered why have a snow mobile, when an ATV can run summer and winter !!

    • @cubbeezx
      @cubbeezx  9 років тому +12

      The ATV definitely is versatile...but it does have a limit in really deep snow and a snowmobile has a lot more acceleration/speed..I guess depends on what you are doing and where you want to go. Both are fun to have for our long winters. Thanks for checking out the channel, we appreciate it!

      dabprod even with the tracks they are way slower less top speed and still can’t go it as deep of snow and you can’t really jump them or do wheelie Hill Klimt etc

      They are way less capable in snow.

    Hi,
    I'm watching your vids for a long time now and you're reminding me the good times I had with my father and our quads when I was a young kid; we used to have a Timberwolf 250 and a Kodiak 400 and spent thousands of hours riding. Unfortunately due to life I didn't manage to see my father that often and he just passed away a year ago.I'm now planning to buy a grizzly 550 to get these good moments back with my family. Thanks for sharing this fun and joy that make me feel good! Take care!

    wow that impressive. Thats Pretty powerdery snow though, get a nice layer of hardpack on top and you probably wouldnt be getting through half of that. It snows like crazy here and gets warm enough for everything to melt just a little then freezes so all of our snow is super packed and frozen. Damn Canadian winters.

    I won't use my fourwheeler in the snow ever again after this winter. I got buried too many times. When you're riding on snowmobile tracks, so it's packed enough to keep you afloat while your giving it. But the moment you stop and try to turn around or continue on and all you do is dig down and deep. Such a shitty feeling when you're rocking it, gassing it and there's nothing to winch to. It's not worth it to me.

  • @nickdawn3985
    @nickdawn3985 10 років тому

    Wow, even tho that looks like nice fluffy snow it's still impressive how much those tires are able to go through. As long as you got traction you're set. I think I like riding in snow more than dirt.

    Would you say there are the best winter tires out there? I do a lot of ice fishing, can’t seem to justify spending 5k for tracks. And I’ve heard a lot of downsides to having tracks especially in the slush.

    • @cubbeezx
      @cubbeezx  2 роки тому

      The zillas did really well in the deep snow but they have their limits for sure. Tracks turn the atv’s into little tanks in the snow. But when you are stuck…you are stuck and have been in slush…not a lot of fun thats for sure. We have lots of tracking videos in a playlist if you are interested in seeing what they can do(or not do!)

I have 30" and I wish I went with the 28". 30's are great for ground clearance and mud holes, but you lose a little bit of handling on high speeds. Zillas are a great all around tire, price wise, weight wise and traction wise.

      +cubbeezx haha. It's a great quad. I want one of Hondas old 3 wheelers because they're interesting. Two stroke also IIRC. Next quad will be a Yamaha. But I agree, it is good to try new brands. I really just buy what fits my checklist of what I'm looking for usually Yamaha fits that list this time it was Honda with the ES. And the reliability. Actually today I have to do first maintenance on her. Thanks for replying and have a great morning.

    Hello, following this video I just bought 4 Zilla for my sportsman 570. Should it change the tire pressure to ride on the snow? Thank you

      We keep our tire pressure the same all year round....and we don't usually have a lot of air in them to begin with. We love our Zilla's...great all around tire!

    Hey ***** when did you get your shims after your tires? did you get them before you started riding around on them or did you ride around a bit than get them put in? thank you!! Enjoying your videos, old and new!

    • @cubbeezx
      @cubbeezx  9 років тому

      After the bigger tires went on, I rode it around for a little bit, but pretty quickly put in the shim. Wanted the bottom end grunt back LOL

    Those are nice 4-wheelers, but ever since I learned about side by sides, ATV's just never looked the same to me.

      We always say any ATV that runs is a good ATV! We've only ever owned Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and now Can Am....all have been good but Honda and Yamaha are the oldest and reliable! If you find a good used one that has been well maintained they will last for years!
