- Trying out the Grizzly 700 with 27" Zillas in some pretty deep snow. They did quite good too! Impressive what they can go through, although I think they may have been near their limit!
Be sure to watch right until the end.

I realize, watching videos from older to more recent, that this is the one that made me discover your channel ! Nice to see the evolution of the gear, all the ATVs and sleds :) an epic decade ! Damn beavers ! :D
I always woundered why have a snow mobile, when an ATV can run summer and winter !!
The ATV definitely is versatile...but it does have a limit in really deep snow and a snowmobile has a lot more acceleration/speed..I guess depends on what you are doing and where you want to go. Both are fun to have for our long winters. Thanks for checking out the channel, we appreciate it!
I agree
@Wise Sudent Especially now with the new ATV track systems available.
dabprod even with the tracks they are way slower less top speed and still can’t go it as deep of snow and you can’t really jump them or do wheelie Hill Klimt etc
They are way less capable in snow.
Hi,
I'm watching your vids for a long time now and you're reminding me the good times I had with my father and our quads when I was a young kid; we used to have a Timberwolf 250 and a Kodiak 400 and spent thousands of hours riding. Unfortunately due to life I didn't manage to see my father that often and he just passed away a year ago.I'm now planning to buy a grizzly 550 to get these good moments back with my family. Thanks for sharing this fun and joy that make me feel good! Take care!
I have a 1998 Timberwolf 250
That's pretty cool I can't wait to see my Honda rancher 420 in snow
I was 7 years old watching this video and I loved it you inspired me to get a grizzly and I don’t regret it hope you are doing ok
Thanks for the kind words and hope you are still enjoying your Grizzly. We still have ours and love it!
this video is awesome. love the fact that you're 4 wheeling instead of snowmobiling like everyone else.
wow that impressive. Thats Pretty powerdery snow though, get a nice layer of hardpack on top and you probably wouldnt be getting through half of that. It snows like crazy here and gets warm enough for everything to melt just a little then freezes so all of our snow is super packed and frozen. Damn Canadian winters.
😂😂 can relate
Nice vid! Glad to see the Zilla's are working out great for ya. I'm truely impressed on how it handles the deep snow.
your welcome I'm a quad fan so I just had to watch it I think this is the first video i ever seen where a quad doesn't get stuck 200 times in the snow so excellent job keeping it going through that tough snow.
Yes, we have tracks now and they work great.
Great video man, i just picked up a 2012 grizz 700 two days ago, same color as yours and everything, i also just ordered the zilla's! i got 28x10x12 for the front and 28x12x12 for the back.
I am also impressed that you did all that without ever lockin your diff!
Great video, I bought the same tires for my Grizzly after watching your video.
Zillas are awesome in the snow
cubbeezx needs to go back to making these types of videos. Absolutely top notch.
we just got hammered with a huge snow storm ,and this video makes me want to go try out my new 28" mega mayhams out !!!!
nice video!!!
Wow that thing is a beast!! I might consider one of these for my next quad
+Chuck Norris The zilla's on the Grizzly were amazing in this deep snow!
ITP XTR tires in snow are amazing. Terrible on ice and hard pack. Really hard on belts.
I had to drive through about 5-6 kilometers of snow like this on a trail
I have a 350 Honda Rancher i really enjoy ripping it around with a manual.
The handguards are PowerMadd, but for the Grizzly 700 you need to also get the optional mounting kit. The mirrors on them are also extra...hope that helps!
then i wanna get the tires you have because that grizzy went through that very nicely
Nice vid,nice winter,nice grizzly
In july i will buy grizzly 700 :)
Cant wait 2 month left , respect from Lithuania
Dang! I didn’t even know that was possible. My Sportsman 570 didn’t make it through 2’ with Bighorn 3.0s.
i love going out on my wheeler but so nice to have my sled in nice powder once in a while
nice video! i cant wait for some more videos! keep going! ;)
We used a GoPro Hero 2 and a Panasonic hand held camera. Thanks for watching!
Great video! im thinking of getting these exact tires for my kodiak 700
Thanks! Really happy with our Zilla's...here's a video we made when we did an update on them earlier this year ua-cam.com/video/Ex1MBJ-wnc4/v-deo.html
Wow, even tho that looks like nice fluffy snow it's still impressive how much those tires are able to go through. As long as you got traction you're set. I think I like riding in snow more than dirt.
Yes, we were impressed with the Grizzly on Zilla's in the deep snow. Snow is really easy to steer on compared to mud and much easier to clean! LOL Thanks for watching.
i have a question. i am really confused and thought you could help... if your in diff lock, all four wheels are spinning at the same time no matter what right?
i got the same tires but on my polaris sportsmen 400 cant wait to test in the snow
Should be fun!
Good video. It makes me want it to snow here in Minnesota!!
+TheIslandboy345 This year we have no snow!
i love your videos keep it up GO GRIZZLY GO
Good way to get water in the quad but that does look like fun my Raptor 250 could not do anything at all in what you were doing.
Cool vid bro
I like your Grizzly. I have a 2009 Grizzly 550 with 27 inch Reptiles on sti hd rims! But very nice mudzillas
I was impressed.......hard on the machine though.
I have an 06 Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI, big heavy but powerful machine but I'm a BIG guy and not so sure mine would do that well in that much snow.
The snow was so deep ...amazed the Grizzly would go through it! 8000km's on the Grizz now and still going strong. Thanks for stopping by.
2 quick questions: How did you get all that packed snow out, and how deep was the snow, because we just got 3 feet plus here in Connecticut
dam that bike can git the job done looks like fun.
have you ever thought about putting a plow on the grizz in the winter? I'm thinking real hard about doing it for mine. It's just another reason to get out on the grizz lol.
God that looks fun!
I love your videos
+Ryan Jacobs Glad to hear Ryan, Thanks!
Did you have any overheating issues with the deep snow? People have blown engines like that
i was riding a artic cat 650 in snow over the brush gaurd.
I have a question, I have a very similar wheeler. What does the "override" button do?
Yes, I wasn't putting them down, and I like your videos. I was just saying that now that I have seen some of these side by sides, I think that I may like them a little more than ATV's. I don't have one though, I own a Big Bear 400.
Am I the only or what ,your voice sound like Homer Simpson
Ps I love your grozz
Oscar Ortega Not sure I've heard that before....Bert from Sesame Street though..I've hard that before! LOL
Lol...I love the grizz tho
@cubbeezx Yes indeed. Hopefully when I get back home from working i'll be taking some vids of me going through some spring melt. We're expecting 10C + weather for a few days before I do get home. Mud soon to come!
Hoping to put the tracks on the Grizz if the snow get's too deep...don't want snow yet though...
Good videofriend that you did. We are new to ATVing and just looking at other people video and thought just stop and say hi!
I own a Grizzly 660 and my friend has a Arictic 500 we just like have taping video when we can! We not best video people we just like sharing stuff!
Cheers!!!
Maybe some chains or tracks
I LOVE THE SOUND THE ATV MAKE
This video gives me anxiety attacks because I got stuck in deep snow with my quad multiple times!
Looks fun!
Good video!!
Thanks for checking out the video!
Lol that damn things tough pushing through the snow ❄️ like that
i live in canada just across from the boader... made be 800 miles from the boader only a five or three hour plain flight away from where i live
i love ur vids im 13 and i have saved my money and im proud to say i will be getting a grizzly this year lol and a go pro and u expired me to do so thanks
My 26" ITP Mayhem do the same, great tires!!
What, no deep snow wheelie LOL! Why am I not looking forward to this again this winter! :-) Give me spring, summer and fall...
LOL Wheelie!!!!! Let's hope this winter isn't as nasty as last winter! Thanks for checking out the video.
sweet!, whats the overdrive buttom for?
what kind of bark busters you have on it, I cant find any that will fit with all the stuff mounted on my bars
my yamaha wolverine 350 can do that and i have the same size tires to and quad has a clutch kit to don`t know what kinda though ...may be you guys can tell me or message me what kind it is? if it can spin those tires pretty good
what kind of camera did you use? cool video.
im not trying to sound dumb but i dont get much snow in the southern united states.but would it help if i drove in reverse(since i only have a 2wd)
WOW, the zillas actually did well for deep snow. Im torn between these and mega mayhems for my 2007 Grizzly 700. Love my quad
Yes, they sure did...we were amazed! We haven't really taken the Mega Mayhems in the deep snow like we did the Zilla's...both are great tires!
***** I wish I lived somewhere with snow like this Im in Georgia. I love your videos and those tires were a great choice
Thanks very much!
holy hell , never mind then hahah but thanks for anwsering. I've been through there on my way to Alberta, probably the best scenery to look at until you leave the province lol.
I won't use my fourwheeler in the snow ever again after this winter. I got buried too many times. When you're riding on snowmobile tracks, so it's packed enough to keep you afloat while your giving it. But the moment you stop and try to turn around or continue on and all you do is dig down and deep. Such a shitty feeling when you're rocking it, gassing it and there's nothing to winch to. It's not worth it to me.
i would love to have snow like that here in tennesse
It was less than one hundred viewers when i seen this video, wow how time goes.
i own a 750 brute force and a 700 grizzly in my opinion the brute is bedder its amazing in snow and mud and is a extremely nice ride pick it over the griz any day!
wow your really lucky i only have my back yard to ride on. and its very small.
How many km's do you think it would go on a full tank of gas through that deep snow?
You should do this with the 1000 can-am outlander without tracksTHAT WOULD BE EPIC!!!!
They are 27" Zilla's
Would you say there are the best winter tires out there? I do a lot of ice fishing, can’t seem to justify spending 5k for tracks. And I’ve heard a lot of downsides to having tracks especially in the slush.
The zillas did really well in the deep snow but they have their limits for sure. Tracks turn the atv’s into little tanks in the snow. But when you are stuck…you are stuck and have been in slush…not a lot of fun thats for sure. We have lots of tracking videos in a playlist if you are interested in seeing what they can do(or not do!)
How cold was it when this was shot? Do you remember?
where abouts? hard to find snow in Canada nowadays lol. I live around London, you more around Huntsville area?
What year is your grizzly and Wat year is wife's Kodak I'm thinking bout gettin a grizzly have you had any probs with either one like belt slip etc stuff like that
How do you keep your radiator opening free of snow? My grill on my 520 Honda is extra my small and get clogged easily, Kodiak 350 isn’t as bad
The rads don't seem to get too full but the suspension..OMG...it is a nightmare cleaning them out after a ride..takes hours sadly!
I watch your vids all of the time and was just wondering. What issues have you had with the grizzly? I have a Polaris and have had hub problems, light issues, broken back up pull start, and broken thumb throttle from a wreck.
Phillip Davis The Grizz has over 5600 km's on it and can't say I've had any issues with it at all. It has been so awesome and reliable. I had to change a CV boot once as it was ripped on a stick before...but nothing else has broken/quit working. Here's a link to a video where we talk about the quads a bit...ua-cam.com/video/PZw7eazEZy8/v-deo.html
I wish we got snow like this. Where is this?
This was awesome
Glad you enjoyed it!
i have itp mud lites on my suzuki twin peaks 700 EFI they are really good tires oh and i also have those rims also they are nice rims
grizzly was just ripping through the snow!,now you need the kodiak to try!
I'll say, sometimes when you're stuck...you're stuck!!! Definitely need another quad to help get you out. Thanks for watching.
How better tyres you have on atv then deep you can go stuck
Nice quad man.... Maybe look into a snowmobile if that's how much snow u get haha
My ONLY mode of transportation is ATV with snow chains. It will get me 6 or 8 miles back in the woods. I go ride almost every day. I been thinking about dualies, but I haven't found any place here in the winter I can't go. The dualies would be better in the summer around the bogs
i drove a mile in 22 inches of snow with a polaris trail boss 325 2x4. just sit on the way back keep the front floating and the back tires down deep and NEVER stop without making a circle
What your tire my kodiak don't go for in snow
That is awesome!
yupp lol. do u have ur own trails to ride on?
We live in northwestern Ontario in Canada Evan
All the Best ATV videos on UA-cam are Canadians. NICE!
I have a 2011 grizzy 700 eps love it I'm getter a 2015 polaris sportsman 1000 next
Thanks for checking out the video!
wow! tht looked so fun and exciting,i love doing stuff like tht! i would like to do tht on a renegade 1000 wyt those tires...... "bad ass" ben. d
I plan on watching more and I just subscribe
Thanks very much!
hey man hru i have a seroius question i want your help i have a 2010 sportsman 850xp and i dont think is that good on snow it has awd diff lock and everthing dou think a grizzly would be better but why would it both are cvt and have 4x4 im stressing out
+Amir Bello Hi, we don't have any experience with the Polaris ATV's so can't really compare. We now have over 7000 km's on the Grizzly and have never had ANY issues...very reliable, sufficient power and very comfy ride.
Is the diff lock on?
Hey what psi are you running in your tires. I go a bit under what they call for when ripping through the white stuff
We run between 3 and 4 psi. They have never gone down though since new..love it!
Shit that's look fun !! I just wanted to know, how many kms can you travel with one full tank with that thing?
video beatful
