I stopped watching UA-cam on my TV when they removed the speed control from the Android TV app. But it looks just as great on my 27” 4K monitor. I like this format!
Thank you very much for your videos! They are excellent and help a lot in making a decision. Do you think it's a good time to buy the Tab Mini C now or is it better to wait for a new version to come out because it has been on the market for a few months? Thank you for your opinion.
Your channel has been an incredible resource and helped me decide on a BOOX Tab Mini C. I think I remember you demonstrating how to add a hyperlink to handwritten notes by underlining. If that was you, could you please let me know where to find it? Thanks!
I have one. Great device. Smartwriting is top of the tops. I use it to prepare aviation navigation with proper templates : a lot to write, and a lot to read. Put it on my knee while flying. Now, for more common and less specialized use, I dream to have this in B&W and in the format of Poke 5. With a little pen.
@@r21747Yes. Sometimes you have to log flight parameters on a log sheet or what flight control tells you. Or sometimes you have to make some calculations. With your head, I mean. Aviation is not letting computers do everything for you.
I do have this and I do like it a lot. It's my go to for when I head out of the house, and it handles the knitting app I like to use very nicely, so it tends to get thrown into my knitting bag. I'm using the Note Air 3 C for work, and pretty much the mini for play.
Thank you soooo much for this video and all your other content! I’m a graduate student who has noticed significant eye strain from using my laptop and iPad for school, and I’m looking for an e-ink device that I can read and write on throughout the day. I’m definitely leaning towards a Boox device thanks to your videos.
Yeah size is definitely the selling point for me. I'm not looking for a full tablet/surface device. What I imagine and am shopping for is a palm device easily held in one hand if needed, used for more local activities like reading or lists and note taking, maybe casual browsing. Not my phone that im using for EVERY other thing, not my computer or windows tablet. It needs to be focused on tasks to facilitate work. Deus Ex, star trek, many sci fi worlds include these smaller hand held tablets that are left around and can be forgotten in your office or living room meant for reading and working
I use to use the Kindle Paper-white probably a decade ago. I liked it but I didn't love it. I liked it's dedicated purpose but I wanted a bit more. I now have an itch for an ereader again and I really love the color aspect. I'm leaning towards the Boox Mini C cuz of it's portability and note taking ability. Also I love the android platform. Huge plus for me. But I really came here to say, I live on UA-cam when I'm researching and one thing that struck me on your videos was the lack of an intro. I LOVE THIS. You just get right into the content. I don't need a 30 second fancy media intro or a 5 min introduction to the content. I can't tell you how many videos I've clicked off because I lost patience waiting for them to finally get to the reason I clicked on the video. Love the quality and content of your videos.
I need one with web browser to read online comics and the ability to play white noise background while reading. Can you run two apps simultaneously with this?
Thanks Kitt, ill check it out qhen i can get a time slot on the 40"! I have a Air 3C awaiting an unboxing on the 25th but am hoovering up Boox content in anticipation!
Hi there! Is boox tab mini c can be used in my business page chat? To reduce my istrain, can i use this in chatting? Or not advisable for chatting? Or better use ipad mini 6 instead? Thank you very much.
My only issue with the Tab Mini C is that there isn't proper settings for reading comics in their reader app. Every time I try to fit the comic to the actual screen size a dotted line appears either towards the top or towards the bottom of the pages and I have to tap twice just to read the full page before going to the next page. Their Fit To Screen setting makes borders that go around the whole page. Makes no sense. Is there another comic reader app that is compatible with the Tab Mini C that I could try?
Great video! Finally picked one up. I'm a proximity marketing manager for Renewal by Andersen, so I'm walking around all day training guys on effectively talking and pitching to strangers. I think this will really enhance my notes in the field and help me be a more effectual trainer. The size is going to be absolutely perfect for me. It'll be here in about a week and I'm very excited for it! I was curious though, in the time since you've made this video, have they created a dedicated drawing app or optimized drawing in the notes app?
Hiya, great stuff. No unfortunately, I've been going on like a broken record about that and they still not brought one out. Fingers crossed for one soon.

For the moment its a little expensive but in a future i would love to buy an e reader. Im a biochem student and we read a lot of papers and books in pdf so is a must a "big screen" and some color (for some books) :^)
Thank you very much for your review.I've noticed that the boox tab mini C has the UA-cam app and that's disturbs me a lot due to it's potential Impact on my already hard to heal cyber addiction. So my question is it possible to remove it?
Yeah absolutely you can install or remove any app you like. It didn't come with UA-cam on I just installed it to show how video can sort of work, and I sometimes use it to answer comments!
Excellent vid! I had air 3c but sold it, it was just too heavy and I barely used it. Mini c looks interesting but it's looking like boox page is better purpose fit as a reader. Interesting also that you have the Samsung Fold, do you have a review of that as well?
I've never directly reviewed it, but I should perhaps bring it intonthe fold. I've talked about my experience with it a few times though. (Short answer is I like it, but I've had to replace the screen twice! It's a fold three and I've had it more than two years now.)
What's the battery life like between mini C Vs the nova air c? Better or worse considering considerably larger battery size balanced with the more power hungry screen clean up tech in the mini C. I may consider if the next iteration has finger print unlocking.
Hello, I've not tried the nova air C I'm afraid, but I would expect it to have a longer lasting battery as it's a non BSR device. And we think it's the GPU in the BSR devices which is sapping all the power!
Very good review. But I’m still undecided between the ultra or the mini. I believe mini is more suited for me as there is a higher chance for me to carry it around than a bigger one.
Yeah, I would go for that then. I also suggest you consider what else you have in your tech combo, e.g. if you already have an iPad mini, maybe go the larger Boox, or vice versa.
It's ridiculous that the note app doesn't allow rgb/hls colour creation. That lack cripples the app. As with Samsung notes, it's frustrating that note creation only works on the proprietary hardware.

I've had my eyes on this for a long time. I have a 7" Onyx Boox Nova Color - I love this already as the perfect holiday device (read books from all shops, play simple games, listen to music or audio books...), but the colors are still VERY weak on the Nova, and the performance is also sometimes a bit lacking. This seems like the perfect next step I have been waiting for.
Too expensive for my needs but interesting nonetheless. You certainly gave it a comprehensive review. By the way might you consider experimenting with dropping the music background, which I find distracting. But that may just be me. Thanks for all the good work.
Got one as prefer making notes holding it but it still got the old problem of that size einks. Under direct sunlight the display start getting darker and darker in ghost fog pattern like and need to be refreshed every half minute.
DON'T BUY FROM BOOX After 2 months of having my Mini Tab C the screen breaks. After talking to customer service they claimed there was some external force that caused it and it wouldn't be covered under warranty.
