I think “industry plant” should be rephrased to “artists the LGBT community has been embracing that the general pop community decides to entertain for a bit” I think we’ve seen this with Troye Sivan and Charli XCX too. Historically obviously Lady Gaga. To put it into a different metaphor, a broken clock is right twice a day. If artists have a consistent vision & know how to actually write music, they’ll eventually have SOME hit.
I think you’d be surprised, there’s a ridiculous amount of insanely talented artists with possibly even MORE money put behind them that never strike the clock, and I’m talking about sustained promotion every day and song releases consistently for over a decade, still nothing. It’s a wild game and takes the RIGHT kind of marketing at the RIGHT time But what you said definitely raises your chances!
@@notreallyafamousartist695 oh 100%! Not trying to discredit any artists who’ve been putting in work! There’s definitely a “virality” component to gaining that much traction. I think it’s no surprise many successful artists in pop right now have songs with content potential (Apple/Hot To Go/Please Please Please all being dances/soundbites).
I was thinking "how haven't I heard of her?" Oh, because new music doesn't get played on the radio. Even the "modern rock" stations in Los Angeles are playing songs that are twenty years old, and when they do playing something new, it's not any good.
Fans of Chappell Roan will love Sierra Farrell. A young Dolly Parton who can sing her ass off and has great lyrics. She also did a Tiny Desk Concert in 2023-2024.
I've sent a link to rockstar north of the hot to go video asking them to put it in GTA6, less than a year til the games release in september so we shall see, hopefully they read my message as it's an absolute banger of a track.
8:51”Free to create anything she wants” and “with that comes a lot of limitations” is ummm…not true. It’s the “free” and “limitations” that seem quite contradictory 🤔
There is some genius marketing at play here- for Chapell Roan has garnered a great deal of exposure of late by making statements regarding her disdain for fame and the pitfalls that go along with being famous such as overbearing fans, stalkers and the like. Folks generally seem to believe that she has no PR team behind her due to her seemingly impromptu and unpolished recent rants about fans/fame and her political stance- however she is represented by a music manager (Nick Bobetsky) and a PR firm (Biz3) who are guiding her career and who would be monitoring her public statements- though I'm sure they are astute enough to realise that they needn't edit her statements as it is her very straightforwardness that fans respond to favourably.
I don’t know why people are thinking her rise to fame is special or that it just happened so easily. Her manager is the same guy that managers Olivia Rodrigo and look how popular she became! It’s not rocker science.
no one said it was rocket science, honey, but she *IS* special because specifically what happened with her story hasn't been seen in a very long time and the numbers she got and how fast they happened can only really be compared to as you say maybe Olivia, but again, it's still special, because of how the industry has been in the past 10+ years.
Also Dan Nigro is not her manager, he's simply a co-writer on her songs. He didn't orchestrate her career in any way. He just collaborated on her album and did so before she blew up as well. Some of y'all are so uninformed yet so sure of yourselves
@@selenaneumark4480whats crazier is dude isn’t uninformed, that was literally in multiple parts of this video, dude just doesn’t care and is like “nnnahh I’m gonna believe what I want” ☠️
A manager isn't the same as producer. Producer would help directly with the music, which is what the video is on about. Manager would, well, help manage and get bookings nd such. She's got an agency now yes but this isn't a typical rise nor is it a plant.

I think “industry plant” should be rephrased to “artists the LGBT community has been embracing that the general pop community decides to entertain for a bit”
I think we’ve seen this with Troye Sivan and Charli XCX too.
It’s a wild game and takes the RIGHT kind of marketing at the RIGHT time
But what you said definitely raises your chances!
Just found out her music after her performance at VMA this year.
Atlantic Records - fools
I LOVE HER!
And atlantic is left regretting
I was thinking "how haven't I heard of her?" Oh, because new music doesn't get played on the radio. Even the "modern rock" stations in Los Angeles are playing songs that are twenty years old, and when they do playing something new, it's not any good.
Fans of Chappell Roan will love Sierra Farrell. A young Dolly Parton who can sing her ass off and has great lyrics.
She also did a Tiny Desk Concert in 2023-2024.
You Do A Good Job..... Nice Narrative Voice... Carry Your Mid Voice More.
Love her 🥰😎
Too bad people are so obsessive and they need to calm down because they’re way too loud. I wouldn’t want to be famous ,people are nuts.
I've sent a link to rockstar north of the hot to go video asking them to put it in GTA6, less than a year til the games release in september so we shall see, hopefully they read my message as it's an absolute banger of a track.
Love that she stayed politically neutral. She’s right, both sides have issues. Hope her star continues to shine
8:51”Free to create anything she wants” and “with that comes a lot of limitations” is ummm…not true. It’s the “free” and “limitations” that seem quite contradictory 🤔
10:30 OH GOD ITS FEMMININOMENON 😭
I like her view on politics! That's fkn awesome! Atleast she's not only for Harris!!!
Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon vibes
She works so hard for 10 years not just 3 month 😂😂
she also attended Grammy Camp the same summer she attended Interlochen camp
very interesting just a super youtube video here
It wasn’t a 3 month rise it was a 10 year rise
If Tori Amos & Truman Capote had a Baby…💛✨💛
👏👏👏👏
You aren't correct. She hadn't always dreamed of being an artist. She wanted to be an actress.
You better preach!
Wait, did bro just say she grew up in "an actual" trailer park? As opposed to all the people living in metaphorical trailer parks?
LOL, an "actual trailer park" holy shit you don't say!
Everyone outside of America.... "Who?"
Canada here. She’s huge here.
anyone else hear high and dry by radiohead at around 7:28 😭😭
100%
is she a true red head?
3 months? bad maths and research
"Lotta gay stuff like... drinking" so eloquent.
Like Madonna
A tofu classic
you say "an actual trailer park" like its mars...
