So is it safe to use the non food grade DE on your plants

Only if you aren’t going to eat the plants. I use the non food grade kind in the garden and like I said with the chickens. But they make safer kinds. They even makes some that you can add to green smoothies or drink with water that is safe for humans. So check to make sure it’s the kind that’s a okay for plants you eat :)

@@GrowYourHomesteadWithAngie ok so you’re not eating these plants you’re feeding the chickens. Is this correct? The plants that you will consume you don’t add the DE just do the rinse.

So frustrating. Since I had taken the units all apart. Every single one and let them sit dry for about a month i haven’t had an issue since! But I’ll take that occasionally over dealing with outside weather issues 😉 Thanks for commenting and watching

I want to see tomatoes and inspire me to grow tomatoes in my tower

The plants behind me were full of cherry tomatoes. :) We picked them several times, and after I cleaned the unit and collected more we ate them. I had around 50 small cherry tomatoes still left on the vine when I started cleaning the unit

Does diatomaceous earth work against spider mites too?

Im guessing you tried all of these ways to rid of aphids, but they kept coming back...

Yes, I have tried many things. If the infestation is at the start these methods work very well. But if you let it get out of hand and don't catch it early then cleaning the system is the best way to make sure you get rid of the problem. But the other methods I show will help if caught early :)
