By request, my English version of Miyuki Nakajima's "Ito". Ito literally means "thread," but the title has been translated officially as Tapestry, which I think is a better title :) Miyuki Nakajima is a well-known folk singer-songwriter in Japan and someone I respect. I hope you like my English cover.

この歌だけは肝である「幸せ」と「仕合わせ」を掛けられないのが残念だけど、それでも素晴らしい
そうですね！必死に考えまてみましたが、そこはうまく表せなかったかもしれません。
日本語の歴史から見ると仕合わせが元々あった言葉でそこから幸せと言う言葉が生まれたと何かで読んだ記憶があります。
みゆきさんは色々な意味合いで書いたのかな？
巡り会いは単なる幸せだけではなく色々とありますから。
I listen to this song whenever I miss my dad who is a Japanese. He taught me this song when I was young. But this year I wasn’t able to meet him because of the pandemic. I miss him so much... But this song makes me strong and cry at the same time T^T
正直、今まで見た英語の歌詞の中でこれがベストです。
ここまで原曲の良さをそのまま伝えつつ、英語の流れとしても自然に訳されているのは無いと思いました。
歌声も曲に良くはまってます。良いものを本当にありがとうございます。

一番の、「どこにいたの」の部分の英訳なのですが、been'tilのところが、どうやって調べても日本語にできないのですがどのような意味ですか？
そこはbeen 'tilですね（二つの言葉）。'tilはuntilの略なので、 Where have you been 'til nowは「今までどこにいたの？」という意味になります(^^)/
