How does an alarm disc lock work

this lock going to protect against thief you can just cover the sound. also, you are supposed to take the string and put it onto the handle of the bike to detect handlebar movement

They'll just pick it up and deal with the lock later. On a bike that light, you need to D lock it or chain it to a post.
