We played a team that looked more physical and definitely outworked us then we take out the only hardworking physical player we have on the pitch. Mainoo is a 10 or 8 and the manager plays him as a 6. That loss is on Amorim today and we will continue to have results like this unless we add personnel that suits the system in January. My opinion adding a LWB and Striker (Dorgu & Osihmen) in January will radically change this team.
We need to grow up as fans...Marcus leaving, and Amorim coming to Utd are not the silver bullet to save the team. Hard work and passion, is what the team needs. Mainoo seems very slow in thinking and moving. Zirkzee just doesn't win the ball enough and when he does he soon loses it. Bruno, Malacia, Cobie, Dalot, etc passes are too erratic. Our team just cannot think and play as fast as other teams. Need lots of training on closing down, winning the ball then accurate and fast passing and running in numbers and being precise to hit the target or at least force their keepers do some work. Instead, we see too many shots miles off target. Also, terrible in scoring from set pieces and even worse at defending against set pieces. Cannot see any improvement until we get better replacements hopefully in January, or this season will just be write-off. Hoping that Amorim knows by now who should come and who should go and who has potential to improve. 🤞🤞🤞
