Not a good answer to question @11:15. My view is that Quawalli as a actual music form will never go out of vogue - Things that are never in fashion are never out of fashion. But more realistically when you get the basic idea of Quawalli through to the audience in whatever way they prefer - Reggae, Remix etc, the more often than not gravitate towards the original. Case in point, the third album of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan I listened was "Magic Touch" by Bally Sagoo. Once I heard that, I absolutely had to listen to everything by NFAK. And that was 30 years ago.
