Welcome to my very first FFXII LORE video, where we will be going through the backstory of Vayne Solidor, one of the smartest war strategists and main antagonist of FFXII. He is a very smart villain who directs the events of the game while acting behind the scenes, hence his lack of direct confrontation with the party until the later half of the game. Enjoy. - Ігри
Vayne is similiar to that of a fusion between Gaius Julius Caeser and Minamoto Yoritomo.
FF12 is my absolute favorite FF game. This is a very solid video that explains a lot of the actions and plot with using characterization.
Very happy that you will cover FFXII going forward! :D I enjoyed the game, but I never deep dived into the lore. After watching your videos, I will probably enjoy the game a lot better the next time i play it.
I always enjoy your videos! Keep up the great work! :D
I certainly hope so. The game is so much better when the story is a lot easier to understand and appreciate :)
Can't wait to see more
More are definitely on the way. Glad you enjoyed this one :)
I’m here for it! Great video!!
Great video.I start playing zodiac age recently and its been a eye opening experience since when I first played ff12 on ps2 I wasn't a fan of it and didn't appreciate the story or any of the characters. Being near the end of it, my opinion completely 180 as the story and characters are fanatically written. Vayne is one of the best antagonist in the series for sure. Honestly I won't be surprised if ff12 shoots up into my top5 final fantasy because so many aspects of this game oozes quality.
Yea I remember my first time playing this game I had a hard time following the story, but the gameplay mechanics were so much fun that it’s what kept me hooked on and I thought to do some extra research to know the story better and it was actually a good laid out story, just needed better execution
Don't forget all the optional stuff like the Espers and marks!
great video
I think Vayne is my favorite FF antagonist because he mostly relies on his own cunning and charisma to accomplish his deeds.
I think his closest comparison is Kuja, who presents himself as more of a Disney villain (which makes sense given the art direction and fantastical tone of the game.)
Sakaguchi writes iconic antagonists while Matsuno writes grounded and realistic antagonists (particularly in the Ogre series.)
