How to seat new or existing carbon motor brushes and clean the commutator. The Brush Seater comes in many sizes and grades so be sure to shop around. This is the easiest method I have found, and also the quickest. I am happy I learned about this. It reduces sparking and increases contact and motor speed. It will help the motor brushes last longer.
